I'm sure they have a level of compliance comparable to a normal tire. You can see it deforming like a tire should in a footage. Otherwise it wouldn't just damage the wheel, but also be idiotically uncomfortable to ride. Idea of completely airless tires is old, and still is very much work in progress. I think it's eventually going to become the norm. Only one drawback - you can't change the stiffness at any time. With a normal tire you can pump it up or release some air in a pinch, but with something like this you're stuck with whatever hardness manufacturer had designed it for.

While this actually is not any pricier than the top of the line suspension, it doesn't make much sense because most people willing to spend that much on suspension and who actually need suspension are definitely going to go with much higher end suspension that will have much more travel and will give much better grip and comfort over rocky terrain.

For the soft wheels aren’t there suspension forks out there with way more travel and for cost way less and most high end bikes come with through axle and for $1300 the hub only uses nuts and bolts smh 🤦♂️

Also the Mavic UST tubeless standard has been around for a decade now, my old bike had a pair of Mavic UST tubeless rims laced to DT Swiss 240s hubs and those wheels were from the era when 26 inch wheeled bikes reined supreme on the trails.

Dampers always lose air holding capacity eventually, but spokes can last over 100 years. Ride what works best for you. I'll be riding what works best for me. Most of these gimmicks have no longevity or are niche use items.
The high cost of all of these wheels prohibits them from ever becoming a viable option for most cyclists.

For the cost of most products, the low range of most of the electric wheels, and so on, I don’t see much of these as an ideal buy. maybe the airless tires and I’ve already seen when the drift wheel came out and how ok they are. There’s no facts that prove these are better than others on the market

Yea. I ride BMX and mountain bikes. None of these work for me but inner city people that need transportation, some of these might be nice but the price...not great. Good concepts.
