    Thanks, I almost ordered a new gun! I took mine apart but the gasket piece you drilled the countersink into was lodged in my tube and I didn't realize it could come out easily until I watched your video. I also applied some epoxy to the gasket piece before screwing it on and epoxied the voids in the plunger to lock in the screw threads that broke through.

    Thank you for posting this, I was stumped why mine quit and I never thought of looking down the cylinder for the broken off plunger.

      You're welcome! It was a head-scratcher at first but definitely an easy fix.

    Cool, sir, simple enough. And the soothing music while fast forwarding is a nice touch and much appreciated. That's so much better than listening to someone talking about the hairball there cat coughed up this morning.

    Thanks for the video. Just downgraded my spring to one from a nerf blaster so it's easier on it in the long run.

    Thanks for the video. Bought mine in 2015 and it just now crapped out. Took mine apart and sure enough. The same thing happened to mine. The screw fix worked great. Took me a while to put it back together because I managed to lose the correct alignment on the gearbox. Looking closely at another video that showed the parts a bit better I was able to figure it out. Works perfect now. Also, while I was in there, I did a little hack I saw elsewhere to remove the safety so I don't have to push that darn thing every time. Missed quite a few shots because of that thing.

    Mine - Black Fly 3.0 - just stopped working after a few months and after taking it apart and not finding anything broken - I think something just moved out of place inside - I tried to put it back together but can't seem to find the place of a small triangular piece to which a small v-shaped spring is attached to. Manufacturer just didn't care and told me to get another one. Can anyone help? I have photos of the internals and of the piece. Thank you in advance!!

    I believe this is the 2.0 version right? Do the 3.0 and the 3.5 versions also have this problem ?

    Can you change the spring so it cocks easier as Iive got poor hand function through an accident so want to make it easier and is there a tear down video?

    • @OneHitAway
      @OneHitAway  Рік тому +1

      You could cut a coil or two off of the spring and that would make it easier to compress

    How did you get the circle piece out? Mine seems to be stuck inside the gun

      I cut and straightened a metal hanger and fed that through the firing side of the tube. You can move the salt dispensing mechanism up or down to allow the hanger to pass through and then push on the broken off circle/gasket piece.

      open the salt lid, push down on the plunger, and blow into the tube, it pops right out... this is what I did

    Is it one pump only? Can't build more pressure?

      All you do is compress the spring, it’s not an air rifle
