Hey! Loved your video, it explains everything about both effects, although I was wondering if there's a way to make these effects only visible within an object or mask, like a window or something.
Absolutely. You could use a layer mask or track matte to contain it.
@@JakeInMotion damn, thanks for that quick reply. That's the thing, actually, I've been trying to do that but it doesn't seem to be working, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
I think I should elaborate a bit more. I have no problem using a mask on the effect. What I wanted to do is warp the effect a little bit with the puppet pin so it makes a curve, but using an adjustment layer just cuts the background image. I'm currently trying out with the matte but yeah, I'm having trouble with that, I'm not that advanced with after effects.

Unfortunately, no. You'd want to use CC Particle World for that.

You could rotate the layer.

Try adding the transform effect after the rain, then rotate everything 180 degrees.

Try applying it to a solid instead of the text layer.
