I've watched several videos on Mocha and this is by far the one that was easiest to follow and made the most sense. Lots of other ones skip over some of the small details you talked about
Insanely helpful, you didn't skip things, and explained what was going on. I've not used mocha in a while, but this was perfect for adding new brain cells to what I remember. Cheers brother !!
Thank you so much, your explanation beats the rest about mocha AE, or should I say tutorial? Everyone else, I can't understand what they are doing. Thanks again.
Excellent tutorial Jake, thanks a lot for sharing! Would also love to see how you go about masking out objects like a hand or a person etc. passing by or over a screen like the one you described.
@@JakeInMotion Great video Jake. Also, note that with Mocha Pro there are some cool options for masking organic objects like hands. PowerMesh tracking, magnetic splines, and edge snapping!
I've watched several videos to try and figure out how to track a green with + markers in the corners on a laptop. Footage is clear, no obstructions, nice contrast, laptop is simply pivoting back and forth. As soon as Mocha starts tracking, the corner pins start wandering. Super weird and I haven't seen anyone else experiencing this issue. This is the third tut I've followed step-by-step and same issue with wandering corners.
Try tracking with a larger shape and excluding areas with motion blur or light reflections. In boris they explain how to do the same thing you describe, green screen and + marks
can i make fake light with mocha ? i mean let's add mocha ae pro on my face and add a light...the light is resident and while i rotate my face...it's not moving... if do u have any idea to create what i want pls advice me

Soda Jerk have to be the most epic users of Mocha. Check out "The Was" or " TERROR NULLIUS"
I just watched The Was. I'm not sure what I just experienced.. lol surreal.
he finally started using fx conole
I've been doing everything in my power to NOT use it to avoid the inevitable "how did you add the effect???" comment.
@@JakeInMotion Thanks to you Jake (it's been 4 years i use AE and it's only 2 months i muse video copilot haha

Hey Jake, is there any way for the generated Mocha mask to follow the planar surface shape instead the tracking data corner pins?
The best

please the exporting data to AE don't working with me and corner pin don't have any key frame .. i use AE 2019 and thank you
i know this comment was 3 months ago but it's because after you click on the "create tracking data" button, you didn't click the layer from mocha.
How to zoom in Mocha AE ? Thanks
my screen is not in the same location that the surface tool tracked ,
👍🏻
roto brush would be easier tbh
