Hi Nikki. I think being positive and kind is a vibe people pick up on and if they're open to it they'll engage. Not everyone does connect of course as life tends to give us days where we have to focus on other things.
Hello from Ca. Great interview with Leah, reminds me of my travels in Indonesia! Go out & meet people! Made's Warung was the happening place 4 foreigners! Can't beat Bali! Always something 2 do & see, never knew Russell Simons has built a big yoga hotel in Bali.
Thanks for your vlogs Wayne - you show what I want to see - the character of the people and a feel for the culture and place. Reminds me what I love about Bali.
You are great at just approaching and chatting to people. Such a fabulous way to travel. I have been to Ubud a few times, but through your eyes it's different, in a good way.
Hey Silver, that's really very kind of you, and helps me feel others might discover a different way to travel. Of course people can travel how they like, but I think if more people took the time to speak to each other we might get a bit closer to understanding this crazy thing called life. Cheers.
You Tube (videographer phenomenon) and mass tourism has arguably radically transformed how travellers encounter persons along the way, given the medium is the message which was historically (prior to late modernism) primarily through journals as daily entries.
Love the channel , my go to place before we hopefully move there next year. Now to learn indo 😂 1 month there again in feb, love lembongon, amed and some of ubud. Thakjs for the channel Wayne ,be safe ,happy and do what makes you happy
Hey Craig. Wow! You're moving here next year? That's got to be a pretty motivating factor in learning the language. Your Feburary trip looks like it's got some great places lined up for the month, Craig. Nice one! Cheers.
I saw a comment below about the dogs, nothing wrong with putting some animals in there(also insects), I always get a kick out of the chickens running around freely traveling, seen some hilarious moments of a chicken kicking the beer bottles off a beach bar in Thailand and one flying across the street to land on some lady's head in the Cayman Islands.
Hahha. I had a laugh out loud moment with the look on a woman's face as a chicken roosts on her. Thanks. I'll keep a bit more footage of animal things then if a few enjoy it. Cheers, bf.
Thanks Wayne, you very much have ability to draw out the best of Bali spirit… Me thinks maybe you have very quick instinct and some expert knowledge to accompany you? Well done again, I look forward to your daily vlog 🙏
Hey victor. I think if you're just simply yourself and open to your own authenticity, others pick up it and feel comfortable. Having said that, the Balinese are very special people who tend bring the best out of those who take the time. Thanks so much.
Hi Sonny. I wasn't aware of that so thanks for letting me know. It's something to add to the questions to be asked next time I meet a Balinese man with long hair - if I remember. :) Thanks for dropping by again, Sonny.
Hi munujohn. If it were left completely left to me I'd have animals taking up a lot more of the vids but I didn't think viewers would want to much of them. Now that you've mentioned it i'll try give them a bit more time. Thanks for asking as I don't know what people want to see if I'm not told. Appreciate it.
@manujohn99. there's going to be a dog in the beginning tomorrow as well but it was taken taken today, so please excuse me if the dog tomorrow doesn't appear in the video after the beginning. :)
Vasco da Gama was an explorer in the 1500's from Portugal who first linked Europe to India (?) "Fiasco" in English means something is a messy failure, or ridiculous event. So, Fiasco da Gama is like exploring really badly - not good at it.
With your bahasa ability, Why dont you hang out with several local people in the warung maybe, and chit-chat with them (not one by one interview) but just natural style video.

Hey Sally. It's pretty special, isn't it? I hope your next trip here isn't far away. Cheers.

You're welcome, Stephanie.
Oh and I love your 'handle' - it reminds me of a character of the cartoonoist Leunig called Vasco Pajama!
Ha! Vasco Pajama, I love it. Thanks for dropping by, Sally.
Trop drôle la belle Léa 🫶🏻
Poubelle absolument magnifique à tous points de vue.

Regarding Made, I was once told that men will grow their hair long when their wife is pregnant then cut it off when their baby is born.

Hay .wayn ..,your names ,it,s like Wayan ..in Bali.😂😂
Hi Nyoman. Yes, a little bit like Wayan. Many balinese people say "Oh, Wayan..." it's sometimes funny. Thank you, Nyoman
Those dogs that you show in the beginning, its not shown anywhere in the rest of the video.
Can you try showing it in the rest of the video.

What does fiasco da gama mean?

Hi gali..I'm not sure my language ability is quite there for a casual hang but it's a great idea. Thanks.
