Hi Thomas. Good luck with the Indonesian language, it's a lot of fun stumbling around out there and the locals really appreciate the effort, I think. Thanks for stopping by, Thomas.

Your Indo conversation is coming along in leaps and bounds, your accent (logat) is increasingly better. You must be putting a bit of effort into it because your progress has been very fast. Quite enjoying the conversations you having with the locals. Cheers.

Very generous as always, Ian. I think just trying to speak it every day helps. Remembering words seems to use a different mechanism in the brain to speaking the language so you could possibly have a huge library of words to call on but dragging them out and using them seems to be a whole different skillset or ability. Regardless, it's fun. Thanks, Ian

Just another word of encouragement; I watch a lot of travel vlogs for destination inspiration, your vids are really unique, I can't think of any other Bali vloggers that elicit such warm friendly personal interaction with locals, not even from the local Balinese vloggers. You've got a real "Costa Georgiadis" type calm inspiring vibe going. I said hi to the passport this morning and warned the boss I'm going walkabout in a while. Thinking trekking Cambodia and surrounding countries for a few weeks again, but slower this time and try your "stop to talk to the locals" lark. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hey dk, thanks for the encouragement, to be compared in any way with Costa is pretty darn good - thanks. It's a feeling that never gets old pulling out the passport from its hiding place when that itch needs to be scratched, I'm excited for you. If you're ever this way give me a shout. Thanks again.

Wayne I’m guessing you were a fan of Andrew Urban’s Front Up on SBS years ago? Very similar style of videos and I love it. It’s been a pleasure watching your videos over the past few weeks. Loved seeing the dog running up to you in yesterday’s video,…a sign of the locals getting to know you. 😊Keep up the good work.

Many locals have taken big advantage on the incredibile ascent of Bali in the last 30 years and the monetary richness that came with it. So there is a lot of money going into beeing grateful to the many gods beeing worshipped. Past donations seem to have worked out so the beliefs are strong.

You're a pretty astute observerI think, pm. Would there be a more prosperous island economy to rise in the last 30 years? Maybe not. And as you say if that success is attributed to Gods unseen there can be nothing but further fueling of the belief system. Cheers.
