Howdy guys im down in shovel Valley and the mood im in today i share a plenty of tips and tricks on cutting i hope you all like this vid www.loggerwade.com/
Morning Wade, think I have said this before but I am going to say it again. You don't give yourself enough credit about being a good teacher. You show both side, wins and fails and that my friend is the true definition of a good teacher! Thanks for sharing!!!
Good job Wade, You do not give yourself enough credit for all you know, a little behind on the vids, but we will get there, " whatever tree", love it:):)
James, but is she talkin to you while watching? If so, you don’t need that kind of negativity in your life brother. Build a man cave out of lumber cut and milled by him and really set it off! Lol I’m joking of course.
Hahaha .... That's no shit!. Tell her it's real male bonding, cutting up, telling jokes and lies or as my wife coined the phrase "Winner Welding" . 😁 FYI : ... first lair don't have a chance ....
I agree 💯. Tired. Mad. Distracted. GO HOME. Start again tomorrow. We have cut a job behind you. In new haven ky. Think yall had bought it from john luckett standing. Yall did good job.
3rd cup of coffee and listening to puddin getting it done. Looks like you’re trimming up some Wade. Might be able to keep up with Mommy on the treadmill now. 👊 keep dropping em and we’ll keep watching.
I cut my notches both ways up here in Maine. It all depends on the situation. It kinda makes me chuckle seeing some guys talking about using the humbalt (hope I spelled it right) is the only way to cut so your butt log is square. And if you cut Eastern way you have to cut a foot off the butt log to make it square. 😂😂. That’s just not true lol. I use both. It always depends on the situation. Nice job bub!! Skowhegan, Maine
Greetings from Central NH (Lakes Region) - Wade you talk about not being a teacher. The best definition of a teacher I can describe is "someone who imparts knowledge well", guess what Tater - that is what you do in most of your vids, and you do it very well. I honestly can't recall one of your vids that I didn't learn something (maybe except for the Las Vegas videos....). Good job, keep it up!
Hey wade on that swinging dutchman do you have to cut the hinge off alittle to get it to move forward like that I’ve done hum bolts and triple hinge and you’re regular ole notch was wanting to try this some time lol
Another great video Wade, I really liked a Videos when you got puddin running but anyway brother you and mommy and a tater nation y’all stay safe and keep the videos coming
Hi Wade your a good feller, faller , timber cutter but I was a little nervous for Brutus some bad fiber and Brutus gets a head ache being in arms reach , and logger Wade gets his check book out. And D.P.T. is true but also holds true when behind the wheel of a big ol truck others can be hurt in that situation. Keep BMP in place don't always look pretty but best manage practice is still best manage practice . stay safe have a good one.
that is a huge danger, not having full control over the tree, many have been killed from delayed falling trees, saw is of, and a forester walking though checking on lines, or it is forgoten about and the cutter gets side tracked and the trees take on a life of its own. many thing can happen in that time, with no sound of cutting.. wild life are attracted to all cutting operations, hell i have had 2 to 5 moose 50 feet from me in a buncher, i have had them follow the skidder out with a bundle, they want the young spruots on the limbs the leaves, specially if it is poplar they want that sweet bark, that why we call them moose maples
So, on the triple hinge, what you're basically doing is strapping down one side of the tree so it will hold it to that side and pull it the way you want or keep it from falling the way you don't depending on how you want to say it. right?
Hey Driver, Can I get a brake on channel 4?! Wade glad to see you back on Puddin again, she misses you too. So quick question, I know there are several species of “Poplar” could you be more specific for me and tell me the most common type of poplar you guys are cutting? I tried to look it up, but Ill, is big enough that you guys have several of them. On a side note... I have never had my last name said so much in one vidja!! Lol Love it Buddy, great job and keep em comin!!!
Amen. Angry for certain. Just go sit dwn for 10 mins. Saves time thru the end of the day. As for tired. Another topper. Ive found being wore out makes me stumble and not think the next cuts ahead and just not goid juju for cuttin. Keep the vidjyas comin.
I just subscribed again. I unsubscribed a couple years ago when you got too golly gee gosh darned it. You’re getting back to the Logger Wade we met years ago👍.
I was just watching you and Piwi push/pullin three years ago and listening to you and how different you sound. The editing has really improved. I appreciate the explanations with the different techniques in managing how a tree falls. TIMMMMBERRRRRRR.
You know, Wade, a lot of the loggers I know here where I live are Mennonites. Now, I know it is hot out and all, but I ain't too sure it don't get just as hot here in Ole Virginnie, and I see those Mennonites working all day long everyday in long sleeved shirts. Haven't ever seen one of them take a shirt off on a hot day. Hell, most of them are wearing long sleeved shirts on the hottest days of summer. I ain't telling you how to dress or nothing but maybe you might want to try a few of their shirts out. ;) Thanks for the videos, Wade. y'all add some entertainment to my life.
I work mostly by myself and I am a small producer 1 to 2 trucks if I am lucky each week. But mostly low grade so by the time I get it out most of the profit is gone. But the good thing is I am being paid to do the job. I need something that will speed things up. Thinking a timberpro with a log max 7000 or a Ryan's grapple head. I just dont know it scary to dump so much money in to one piece of a equipment.
Gotta watch them hallow trees a good friend of mine cut and sold firewood most of his life was cutting a hallow white oak the tree split without warning pinned him between the tree and skidder and killed him!
the usa is strang, here in NW ONT. WITH THE LABOR BOARD AND WORKERS COMP WITH LOGGING COMPANIES. with the labor board and workers comp. ya better not get caught with a power saw any were on the site, or your ass will be grass, due to the number of people killed in the old days when it was cut and ski crews, a power saw on a macanacal operation is not needed and not allowed, sure farmers cutting there own land still use power saws and tree trimers cutter doing city yards still use power saws but thy pay a huge workers comp. coverage, even companies that cut new hydro line right aways is macanical. no power saws , the hydro company, when cutting danger trees use power saws and pole saws from a bucket truck, or a track swomp buggy, and each tree is limned with a pole saw and the trunk is cut off in 4 foot blocks and lowered to the ground, sure there are what we call pack sacker out fits that do clean up behind a macanical companies using cable skidders and power saws, but again they pay huge workers comp rates, we have huge hills any thing from rocky to sand, and these big 8 foot high tire bunchers, can cut any thing and awing them around on side hills and lay the trees down in bundles for the skidders to pick up, no limbs are left in the bush, no tree is cut into peaces in the bush, and the trees and huge, no trash is to be left in the bush as it plugs up the jokies later when they run though before it is replanted to brake up the ground
Dang LW I broke a sweat just watching you work... O' shoot I'm setting too close to the screen and now I've got sawdust all over the new keyboard. Could ya set me out of the way next time ... OMG I even have sawdust in my pockets.
@@LoggerWade it looks like I got about 1.5 bf so how much I $ owe you? I see how you’re making money now. 😂 one chip at a time ‘. Just one question 🙋♂️ how in the hell did you get the sawdust through that little tiny phone wire? O’ I forgot about shipping; I can see this getting expensive quickly so I better go get some LW swag so i can offset the wood chip and shipping price and I can say at least I got the t-shirt.
Uncle Tony says : launch 🚀 those big sticks tater -concentrate- Focus- sharpen chain-and -KAPOW....sometimes...Great Safety VIDJA, especially about the dangers of soft ground, Uncle Tony sinks in QS on a regular basis In these parts -deadly- for Equipment & people’s underwear’s 🔧😬🧨 💩👖 ThankYou !
hey Wade been some time since we talked on the phone or chatted here but I would really like to see what happens when u use a standard humbolt face cut and back cut on one of those bigger trees you hand fall remember the face cut is about 1/3 dia of the tree
I have some of that coming up but I only bring it out when the situation calls for it usually an expensive tree thats soft wood straight down the hill or up hill falls with cheap timber when there's a chance of the butt sliding twords me
I rather operate Brutus myself. Now that looks like the real fun from this side of the camera but like any job it's just work after 100 hours or so. But then again I kinda like setting in my recliner and second guessing Logger Wade's every cut ... LOL Naw - I just thought I knew about cutting trees until I saw Logger Wade's hand cutting vidiots (videos for idiots)
Morning Wade, think I have said this before but I am going to say it again. You don't give yourself enough credit about being a good teacher. You show both side, wins and fails and that my friend is the true definition of a good teacher! Thanks for sharing!!!

@@LoggerWade Thanks wade!
Great job and video
Great vidja, great advice, stay cool or go home, least you can come back 2morrow. You tell them trees where to go Mr!!
Lol will do bud
I like how you cut them and put like a time delay Cut in them walk away from them and in a couple minutes later they fall
that is a huge danger, not having full control over the tree, many have been killed from delayed falling trees, saw is of, and a forester walking though checking on lines, or it is forgoten about and the cutter gets side tracked and the trees take on a life of its own. many thing can happen in that time, with no sound of cutting.. wild life are attracted to all cutting operations, hell i have had 2 to 5 moose 50 feet from me in a buncher, i have had them follow the skidder out with a bundle, they want the young spruots on the limbs the leaves, specially if it is poplar they want that sweet bark, that why we call them moose maples

Yes always on tension fibers not compression fibers
Awesome awesome awesome job and video
Thanks buddy

Yes I'm finding middle ground again not f bombs and stuff but a colorful one here and there... in real life I'm still a sailor
I like the hand cutting to see how to do things and I try to learn things
Thanks Larry
ya do all your toppin with the machine or by hand? them ya skid them with a grapple skidder?
Yes when it all works but there's times we have to cable skid and hand top
I was just watching you and Piwi push/pullin three years ago and listening to you and how different you sound. The editing has really improved. I appreciate the explanations with the different techniques in managing how a tree falls. TIMMMMBERRRRRRR.

What size is puddin. I am guessing not a stock saw sounds like it has had some work done on it. Just curious.
