I was at this gig. What an amazing thing to been have part of this concert. Amazing venue and once in a lifetime experience to see Neil and Pearl Jam together.
I was there as well. Was backpacking through Europe and after spending 4 days in Budapest, my friend and I took a train to Vienna for a night and saw an eight piece string orchestra play Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” there in Vienna. The next morning we got another train to Salsburg, and upon getting off the train the first thing we saw were posters that said “Free concert in park tonight. American band Neil Young with Pearl Jam.” We had no idea about the show before getting off the train that afternoon but immediately after double checking to make sure we were seeing the sign correctly made it a point to find a hotel quickly, dump out backpacks and find a bar a couple hours before the show. What a great show it was, and completely by chance to have decided to stop in Salsburg that night. The highlight was definitely “Cortez the Killer.”
this show definitely deserves a official bootleg wich Cortez the Killer could be the lead single. i can't count how many nights i spent listening to this. Also the Mirrorball album, i miss my teenage a lot and this masterpiece was part of it! awesome!
Neil is truly a great, real talent..great songwriter, musician, arranger and performer and giver to worthy causes such as bringing more awareness, care, respect, appreciation healing and protection for our now very polluted and hurting planet...thanks for posting this major talent with a group of also very skilled musicians of pearl jam
YOU CAN SAY THAT TILL THE END OF TIME . I WITNESSED NEIL PLAYING THIS MIND BENDER WITH BOOKER T JONES AT THE BRIXTON ACADEMY . " WHAT WE STILL CANNOT DO TODAY " .
@@ThiagodMoraes I had tickets for the Toronto show that got cancelled because of the virus, was supposed to be my son's first pearl jam show it would've been my 18,I have been a jam Head since 1994 and will be for the rest of my life,a few years ago Neil Young showed up at The PJ show and it was awesome, anyway you take care and stay safe my Friend
@@bibiayube677 I've been to only 1 PJ gig, it was one of best days of my life..I have 2 tickets to this postponed tour Frankfurt and Copenhagen..Canada country of music legends, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Rush!!You too take care, thanks..bless you!!
@@ThiagodMoraes hey the good times will return and we will be able enjoy good live music again, have a good time when you get to see them again, take care
Excellent video capture -- that audio that accompanies is just spot on for the juice coming out of those speakers and this band's souls. A good live audience recording captured in the right venue will take out a SBD any day of the week. Very much appreciated.
Israel enjoyed not one but two dates of this rare collaboration, I was there standing 10 meters from the stage and Jeremy Kaplan was standing just beside me hahaha
Sounding like an old man but someone who understands art, music and showmanship and actually feels the music rather then produces mass accepted bullshit
They played a Neil Young song at the introduction of Bernie Sanders in Hollywood recently. What this planet needs is a rock concert benefit for the Bernie Sanders campaign!
These great guys should record together another new tunes or at least play some gigs. As I know they are keen to do this but lack of time can not let them realise it. Maybe, someday... See them on the one stage and then I can die :)
Jack Irons' drumming skills in mirror ball are fucking phenomenal.
Agreed. He was the real star of that LP.
I remember reading an interview at that time where Neil singles him out as playing his ass off
So pure, so rough, so amazing!!! Love it a lot
I am 64 and have been playing Neil Young guitar licks since I was a teen ager.
I do love the way Uncle Neil dances around while playing his guitar!!

14.08.1995 Berlin/Waldbühne: finest wheather, epic sundown, unforgetable.
I've been there. They played probably the best ever version of "Cortez the Killer"
Dave Mat. Band hizo tremenda versión en The Central Park Concert.
Watching this in lock down,I feel fortunate to to be a Canadian

Wow! I've seen Neil many times, but I sure wish I could have seen this one live.
I've been there too :) nice gig and cool place for a rock´n roll concert...
Can’t get any better!!
Thanks for adding this magical experience!
Worked at this production 😊
When will Mirrorball be back out on vinyl? This album rules!
It already has... I got it on vinyl!!!
Phillip L Where did you purchase it from?
Just bought it from a local shop... But at least 15 years ago
Phillip L that makes since, I said will it be Back on vinyl #Reissue
@@longhorn2615 I hope for you it will be reissued on vinyl... It's an album that belongs to every good collection I guess 🤷🏻♂️😊
godlike!
Saw this show at the Reading festival 27.08.95 (the footage from that is also on UA-cam). Simply unforgettable. Just Wow :-D
War da unglaublich schön
"It's been real, thank you." ❤️🌹
Jack Irons on drum there is so awesome! And if you add Jeff Ament... Wow!

Like Salzburg and Neil/ Pearl Jam!
Hell Yeah!!!!!!!
Would have been very special to have been there.
Great video! But I think the title should be Neil Young with (or featuring) Pearl Jam...
Yeah, but WE know, is all... that mattera
Thank you I've seen this ........how are you?
🎉 😊 ❤ 🎉
Tour de force. Peerless for mine. There should be a remaster/re-issue of these gigs.
49:50 needle and the damage done
Mirror Ball is in Neil's top five for sure
Let me say one thing. Mirrorball is the greatest shit out there.
Downtown Starts @15:02

I've still got Bernie 2016 stickers on my car. What a heartbreak that was.
Fuck socialism!
Hahaha. That’s 😂

They needed to focus on McCready more than like 2 times this show. He was hitting some epic solos and it was focused on Neil just strumming chords lol
I was also there, but Eddie Vedder can't play on this konzert; i remember, he was sick.
Gert Lindheim Gert, Eddie Vedder did not appear on one single concert of the whole 1995 mirror ball tour.
Thanks !!
bananaslug 61 Thanks. Didn't know. Shame.
May I have your attention! Jack Irons. That is all.
The mighty Jack irons
Absolutely!!!
Who's the drummer? Irons?
+Rahul Bhaskar jack irons
yep. jack irons and he played his heart out. I was there - fond memories.
Cortez The Killer @ 1:17:14
Not bad but that song really need those sloppy drums of the slowest drummer on the planet Ralph Molina! lol
Stone is a great musician but the boy has a very awkward stage prescence!
Hey genius.....did you ever consider who he is playing next to? Stone is a God!!!!
Pipe dreams: Means
Great show, except for dummies talking during a rare solo Broken Arrow. Those aren't Neil people.
Irons was the best PJ drummer!!
Not the same emotion if they came through bootleg sound an vision. I get out!
neil is the type that will either pull off an awesome lead pattern or just bomb. that last half of the opener is 🥴
Pearl Jam band is not crazy horse .. maybe they play their instruments better backstage?
