Hello Joy, I can relate. His four albums from the mid-70s, on the beach, tonight's the night, Zuma, and time fades away, got me through those typical late teenage-early 20s era of extreme depression Melancholy and confusion. They still make me emotional to this day. I've been listening to his music for 50 years, like many of us old geezers. The emotion he can create in us, is substantial...
I saw Neil Young last night at Hollywood Bowl. Wow. He puts EVERYTHING into his performance. What a great artist. He played for two hours and I could've stayed there all night listening to NY & Crazy Horse play. I'd never heard this song before. Love it. Love him. He cares so much about the important things. Wish there were more like him.
Neil is one of a kind, one of the greatest of our time, he has kept such a high level of musical excellence for so long. Crazy Horse is a great band, with Neil at the helm, they work so well together at delivering these epic songs.
This is jaw droppingly good! Fantastic. Uncle Neil and 'Old Black' have never sounded so good together. At age 67 Neil young is making some of the best music of his career with the magnificent Crazy Horse. Damned inspiring. 5 stars. Thank you so much for posting this!
Neil shows again that he can create immortal songs. Bigger than the band itself and indestructible once released. Pure raw creation. Hard to find anywhere else at this level. Thanks for sharing. Great quality footage.
my generation is still out here for now. i see why people laugh at rag tag neil and his old geezers in his band. we are on the back nine for sure, but neil can teach all subsequent generations a thing or three, and he seems to be willing to drive on until the last drop of gas is gone. dont be the guy or girl who finds out how much this guy contributed to music and conscientiousness until after he is gone. get it while you can, there wont be another neil young.
well I turn 37 tomorrow. This is probably my favorite song by anyone in the last 10 years! oh and I just saw Neil + the Real last week in Seattle. It was awesome.
HE´S BACK!!! To his best form with his best sidekick band.Bought the entire cd on i-tunes right away. He´s the king of heavy with a touch of acid Rocker, and Crazy Horse as well.Been following this band since the 70s this is truly one of their best!!
Thanks for this share ~ a new favorite song. Organic congruent! Love the whistling, too. Awesome unity with Neil and the band. We are still here and we still Care for our Mother Earth and all interconnected sacred whole Creator's Creation is beautiful and so needed. Protect and restore natural habitats for all to live in harmony. Blessings to all who walk, live, help, support Mother's Natural Nature, not mans. Humility ppl.
Saw Neil Young and Crazy @ Lake Tahoe this week. What a F***ing AWESOME show !!! Lots of long guitar jams, Young induced distortion.feedback and thought provoking, emotional, and mind freeing lyrics that we love. The new music was great along with the classics. The band still has it sounded tight and felt good. Someone commented "he doesn't know how to end a song" That's the point Why would you want it to end ??? Also shout out to the opening band Everest pretty decent ! Thank you NY&CH PEACE
Sensacional! O sujeito opera um aneurisma, envelhece fisicamente, perde alguns cabelos... Mas continua com o mesmo vigor, a mesma garra em cantar e tocar o bom rock and roll. You walk. Like a Giant. Thank you Neil,nTh Giant!
Thanks for posting this. I was there the night before, 8/5, the second night of the tour, before I'd seen any setlists or anything. Holy crap, hearing this song for the first time, live at Red Rocks, with the moon rising right over the stage...wow. Almost half the set was songs that basically no one had ever heard before, all classic new Horse. It was basically Rust Never Sleeps 2, in person, and no one was expecting it. My mind is fucked.
Thanks for this. I was at Sundays show and by far the best jam of the night. Great song and much better getting to listen to it word for word which we missed in row 25 stage left. I have to say I have NEVER heard Neil write a song of "surrender" (Nor Crosby, Stills or Nash). This song tells a story of disappointment in the magnitude of where we are all headed with no cotrol of our destiny. From the environment to the demise of the government things are happening faster than anyone predicted..
Pocos saben de este hombre genial y sensible a la vida, a la historia..., pocos saben de su espíritu de lucha y de su autocrítica... Young es, como dice Barnez, un Dios inserto en la historia nuestra!
Great video. Glad you weren't caught. Excellent camera. Thank you for posting it rhkbco I love Neil Young. Haven't seen him since January (1970 ?) at the Music Hall in Boston. Would love to see him again. Gets better with age. Music is timeless. And to "andrea queirolo", Hippies (me & Neil Young) are still right ... we need another (real - 1969) Woodstock to rally & reclaim the Earth. Peace & Love.
Saw Neil with promise of the real at Red Rocks July 8 2015, Super show! Saw this tour in Albuquerque before release of Psychedelic Pill, so we had no idea any of this was coming. We were expecting AMERICANA, It was a great surprise to hear this the first time ever LIVE.
Awesome, this year so me getting into Neil Young and getting away from plastic bottles. Now it seems like it has all come together. Glad to see his new songs rock.
What a legend Neil is at 68 on this concert but still walking like a giant, enjoy it while u can because u will probably never see or listen to music making like this.
Neil Young is a great musical talent, great songwriter, musician, arranger and performer...and a giver to worthy causes such as Farm Aid bringing more awareness to the need for much more care, respect, appreciation, healing and protection for our amazing, beautiful but now very much polluted plundered and hurting planet...do what you can to help, the earth sure needs it now...thanks for posting this great legend and the very cool top musicians in his band
@mbeckva, the song with the refrain, "She loves him so, she does what she needs to" is called Ramada Inn (At least, according to the set lists I've seen).
Poignant response. It is refreshing to read commentary such as yours. Train sets and electric cars, and pitching for donations and investment money ... there's no Sugar Mountain there. We have to move from NY to Osip Mandelstam: "Oh, the agony of my all too-much seeing."
BRILLA! NEIL YOUNG ! Nunca un Político Jamás Podrá Alcanzar a Una ESTRELLA ⭐ ! Jamás Nunca ! Jamás ! NEIL ! Es una ESTRELLA ⭐ ! Es Único ⭐✨ DESPRECIO TOTAL A LOS POLÍTICOS !!
I had my first security confrontation at a concert when I was pushed and when Security points at you then at the "EXIT" door you GO! Thank you for getting a great video of a true musician who I believe is loving this video and every vote for it!
Man I really hope they make a concert dvd soon. I close my eyes and listen to their sound, and I feel like I'm a part of woodstock or something. It's great.
Wow... thanks for capturing this. I've seen Neil a few times, but not in the last ten years. Now, I'm definitely scoring tickets for Seattle. Love his epic, 15 minutes songs with substance.
Great video! Thank God for auto focus! Neil's book "Waging Heavy Peace" explains it all if you don't understand the lyrics. Great read, awesome artist. No compromise here!
You did an amazing job of capturing sound a video!! Thank you. Even Neil would be happy with what you got and wished you got the whole thing!! I'll try to pick up where you left on when he's in Phila.
This just kill this one, don't they? It's classic, old school Horse, but with that slightly mellowed flavor that comes with age...like the jagged corners have been worn down, leaving smoother edges but taking nothing from the beauty of the stone...er, rock. Your camera is awesome. great job filming, and I'm glad you didn't get caught. Thanks rhkbco!
god, nice video capture and sound! i was there that night, but in the 3rd row, and couldnt hear the songs as well as you recorded them. long live neil. i see the nychannel picked up your vid, kudos.
Love you Neil. Another great song. This is too f'n cool. Love what he said about the plastic "the size of Texas" floating in the ocean. He wasn't kidding. "We try not to think about it...it's so far away." He was being sarcastic -- and dead on. Anyway. Great music and thanks for the post.
Catchy whistle in tune! Does anyone have some tickets for London or Toronto? Heh, Neil can you send me a few tickets for my young adults? They just have to see the master!
My my, hey hey Rock and roll is here to stay It's better to burn out Than to fade away My my, hey hey. My my, hey hey Rock and roll is here to stay It's better to burn out Than to fade away My my, hey hey. great video
Neil still has the rage of 1000 hurricanes. This song gives me chills and brings a tear to my eye. Nobody does that to me anymore... Only Neil.

Yup
Never
What's with the apologies!? This is ageless and will be the classical music of the future. Neil likely incarnating Mozart or more likely Bach!
HE´S BACK!!! To his best form with his best sidekick band.Bought the entire cd on i-tunes right away. He´s the king of heavy with a touch of acid Rocker, and Crazy Horse as well.Been following this band since the 70s this is truly one of their best!!
