Neil was just wise earlier ... something I wish I had way back then. My life didn't turn out awful, but I wish I had been more mindful and wish there was a way to get a re-do... 🙏🌞☮️❣️
I fell in love with Neil when he was with Buffalo Springfield. His music captured my heart then and he's been there ever since. Incredible writer performer then and still # 1 in my heart.
He'll set the lyric, continue with the instrumental hook, and burn the meaning into your consciousness. A true genius of any age. His music is an echo of his inner being: powerful, intricate, piercingly melodic with an in-your-face testimony to the grit of living. Let us all hope to evolve to such a sense of being.
Neil was, still is, and always will be...the real deal. He is an artist in the full sense of the word. Picasso ain't got nothing on him. Love you, Neil.

Well, there are definitely some good younger hippies. My 31 year old son has always been one. I do get a little perturbed when the young hippies think that they are the first to come up with stuff like awakening. I will give them credit for the term "woke" though. :)
I saw CSNY at Winterland (a former ice skate rink converted to a light show concert hall) in San Francisco just after Neil joined. Everyone would bring a blanket, a snack, and a joint. We all lay down and watched the most amazing light shows while listening to the intro bands, waiting for CSNY to play. It got real quiet.... then this high pitched clear voice... "Be on my side baby 🎶 .... (Down by the River song) and I sat up completely melting inside. That was Neil and I had fallen deeply in love with his voice. I had been to Woodstock just before he joined CSN. To this day, I still love listening to their songs. AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL AND PROFOUND BLEND OF TALENT 💎💜💎

Neil Young is proof that every kid practicing in his garage can have fun with a guitar. Go ahead pick it up grab a few of your friends and go out to your parents garage, Don't be afraid to turn it up. Do it for Niel..................
After I moved out of my mom's house in 1982, I asked her if she would mind if my band came by to practice in her garage one Saturday afternoon, as none of had any cash for our usual hourly-rate rehearsal studio.. She said sure, if we didn't play "too loud". Big 3-car garage, the acoustics were quite nice. We plugged in and began working on a new song for us, Neil's "Cinnamon Girl". The drummer was a monster, we had to keep turning up the amps just to hear ourselves over his relentless pounding. We went through it a few times, and had it nailed. It sounded fantastic. Next thing you know, mom is at the inside door to the house, tears running down her face. She screamed "The neighbors 8 doors down just called and are threatening to call the police if you don't stop!". Well, it was a short practice, but sweet. Nice to know we were able to traumatize all the stuck-up assholes in mom's entire neighborhood. "Cinamon Girl" has always held a special place in my heart ever since. Sadly, we were never allowed to return... Hehehee
Don't know what my life would have been like without Neil......and Bob lol......I could live the rest of my life listening to Neil on a desert island and be just fine.....
Absolutely brilliant live as well as on vinyl/CD! It just feels like he's punching into my stomach, pulling out my intestines and playing them. Why doesn't he get into the top 10 lists of guitarists of all time? You can keep your Claptons, Neil Young is THE MAN!
Thanks Uncle Neil, on behalf of all your fans who did not have the opportunity to see in concert you last year, for generously sharing this magnificent performance with us. Long may you run.
I thank God that I did not attend. I would have demanded my money back after hearing that song containing one cord over and over and over and over and over yeah it still sounded like crap!
The older we get, and Neil is only six years older'n me, I swear Ill never get over Black's wail. Man it's just something that he planted in my soul in 1967 and I've not gotten over it all these years....Not sure I want to. Walk on giant Neil. No resistance here...you deserve it for you truly are a giant among among us in the realm of music genius and those of us that can appreciate you for who you are and the talent GOD gave you. Forever grateful!!!!!
Agree with everything you said, except Neil traded for old black in 1969. First heard on Everybody Knows LP, just sayin'... His sound playing the Gretsch guitars with the Springfield was still awesome. Been a fan since I was 7 in 1967. Those 2 notes on For What's Worth hooked me.
He ages like fine wine . There is no one like him never will be. Our music will live on forever. I love my generation. Young forever. Peace and Love , Pearline
I love it when Neil turns Ol' Black loose..........you can feel that emotional rush coming on....it sends chills down my spine. Can't even imaging anyone pressing a thumbs down on this talent.
I've seen him live more than I can count. Way back in the TO days. I've seen some of the best rockers live but none could rock it so hard for 3 hours non stop.
His music is real, its true to his soul and unlike most others, its organic. He never sold out to the corporate suits either. One of very few! Welcome to the 1960's ethics. You rock my friend.
You say that is if there were an understood meaning of rock and roll. Neil Young is a brilliant poet but he still sold out and I'm disappointed. These songs are the pinnacle of his creative Legacy. I appreciate that without lying to myself about what he's become. Sometimes an artist has to know when to pack it in when they're only producing hearsay.
@@BennieWilll as an example of what you're asking me.. Explain why You feel he didn't? honestly that would take a Chapter or so I'm speaking for myself the way I see things. the evidence exists to support it. This is not the Forum. Dave McGowan weird scenes inside the canyon is a good place to start to get over the delusional flower child idea we have about the origins of the age of Aquarius. Neil Young was an outstanding poet, musician, singer. But he lost the higher spirit he approached it from in the early days. It showed up in the lowbrow choices he made in his personal life as far as how he treated the women. And I say this as a person, not a "feminist". No one's perfect - and I'm thankful for what he gave of the best of himself to the world. But I hear the difference in the music from Visionary to Not.
I cannot believe there can be any negative comments about this video. HOW can anyone hate on Neil Young? He is hands-down the most prolific singer-songwriter-musician of my lifetime. He CARES about the planet. You can disagree with his politics all you want, but you can never question his integrity and his honesty. To quote Uncle Neil: "Throw your hatred down." This man is a treasured musician, to be enjoyed - and he will be, for decades and centuries to come. If you can't appreciate Neil's music - go find yourself a Beyonce or Taylor Swift album. Which they won't be playing 50 years from now. But they WILL be Neil's body of work. 'nuff said
As I grow older, and in to the twilight of life, I will pass on some of the things that I feel I have learned of value. And I pray that for generations it will be known that one passed through the metric we know as time on this Earth, and that he left a footprint of genius that will forever be known, felt, and loved, as Neil Young. Neil Young wrote the songs and played the soundtracks of my youth. Every song on certain albums resonate in my soul. Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, After The Gold Rush, American Stars And Bars, Time Fades Away, Harvest, Zuma. One of the true great true rock legends who guided me trough times with LSD, psylocibine, pervetine, coke, benzedrine, dexedrine and so on. Those were the rocky seventies.

The sound is a slightly monotonous, but is has become part of the hypnotic charm of the late career sound of this genius. It is like meditation. So yes, F***** Up and even Cinnamon Girl sem to me somehow played in a slower, relaxed, moody, tempo, while the Opening Number is… PURE POWER. Thank you Neil, for whispering, shouting, singing and even praying to my ears for almost 50 years.
Old Uncle Neil, 1 can always depend on Neil not 2 sell out as so many have. He still is & always was a true "Protest Singer/Song Writer" & probably the best there ever was!

Good old Neil love and only love can conquer hate great lyrics to a great song! Neil definitely lives and breathes his music! I love him for sharing it with us! God has truly blessed you Neil keep on rockin in the Free world is 2024 and I'm listening to this probably the second time and it's still great! I have nothing but respect for Neil❤❤❤
Funny thing is, Neil is so hateful, people can hardly stand to be around him. Weird , eh?
the way he just came out rippin', on fire!!!

Sure you can relate.
Neil Young. Representing the aboriginal people of Australia. The fact he is wearing the aboriginal flag on his tshirt is awesome and commands my respect.
I would consider Neil to be Aboriginal before I would consider an aborigine to be indigenous.
Neil Young for President !!!!!
@@kurtlantz2748 wtf are you on about? That's a terrible thing to say..

Good onya Neil Young!
No one can defy the legend! Six decades of passionate and worthy music...
3 GUYS WITH GUITARS AND A DRUMMER, ROCK AND ROLL AS ITS MEANT TO BE
Two guitars and 1 bass, I would say...
and to hell with guns and the trigger fingers
@Kelly Daye it could be an upright bass...
One is a bass
watch and learn kids...this is how it's done
The way he has evolved his music over the DECADES and still manages to touch so many is a testament to the brilliance and talent of Neil Young. Not to mention his conscious awareness of humankind as a whole eg wearing a shirt of the Australian aboriginal flag in this vid
Australian indigenous flag on Neil's t shirt looks so cool ... still rocking on with the crazy horse !! 😀😎
A musical magician who will catch you with pure beautiful music and trully awesome guitaring. Beautiful 🙏🎸🎸🎸
Ohhh Neil let the good times Roll ...You are the master of word and song ..Neil you are pure Gold..Keep on Rocking in the Free World..Your Music had kept alive in this Virus Lockdown...THANK YOU...God bless you ...Peace..
Neil remains TRUE to his ROCKIN SOUL !
Neil Young was my first concert back in the early 70's. The man is awesome. Never slows down. He'll still be rocking in heaven

Neil sounds as good today as he did in the when his debut album came out! A brilliant and underrated musician!
@David Wang I fkn HATE the underrated comment! People cant come up w a better way and word to compliment someone/thing
Underrated Wt actual F you smoking 😂😂😂😂
Neil Young set the standard on how to Rock. No one else can keep up with him.
Seriously. Neil Young not only never lost it, he's gotten better with age. Freaking beautiful. The only good hippie is an old hippie :)

Well, there are definitely some good younger hippies. My 31 year old son has always been one. I do get a little perturbed when the young hippies think that they are the first to come up with stuff like awakening. I will give them credit for the term "woke" though. :)
🎸❤ you Neil. Your music brings such joy. Really touches the heart to the core !!! God bless always always🎶⚘🎶💞
I love his loyalty to crazy horse.when it works it works ,lightning in a bottle!!
Couldn't of said it better myself...

Been a fan from the first album. I'm now 68 and I still love his music. I'm learning how to play my Gibson to get his sound. 🎸❤
Same here except 71. Also gotta Gibson J50 and love to play Neil's songs. Just wish they sounded like his. Lol
right there with you man! i'm 62 yrs. and i feel like this guy wrote the soundtrack to my life! there will NEVER be another NEIL YOUNG!
Play loud..with a 10 watts amp...you will hear..that grunge sound
I am 61 with the Spirit and very important 432 hz tuning vibration throughout the air on a Taylor or a PRS just don't have a Gibson, but I am shopping for a Vintage PRS McCarty model. Everyone have a blessed Sabbath day keep it holy be kind to one another. you can change the world just by the food you eat. Neil's quote. PS: Decalcify your Pineal Gland people and really wake up to the Divine self, as we have been created in his like. Love to you Neil and all God's children, we just took our souls and flew away........ Thank you again Neil 440 hz tuning is satanic frequency please Help stop the evil practice.
Go man 👍🏻❤

Un des plus grands poètes des temps modernes. Je l’adore. Exceptionnel Neil Young. From France 🇫🇷.
Oui !!!
Neil was grunge before it was invented!!
He looked that way before it was fashionable 😂
I have been fortunate to have seen Neil many times. He is in my humble opinion the best. My My Hey Hey!
ie seen the needle and the damage done. lost loved ones hi bob lefebre peter ike etc.
you are so lucky. I want so badly to see him before hes gone.
Those harmony vocals the rhythm section give him are so spot on.Perhaps the best grunge band on the planet.

Absolutely brilliant live as well as on vinyl/CD!
It just feels like he's punching into my stomach, pulling out my intestines and playing them. Why doesn't he get into the top 10 lists of guitarists of all time?
You can keep your Claptons, Neil Young is THE MAN!
There was a Mojo Magazine "best guitarist" list a while back that had Neil in the top 20
Good Lord, Neil is a brilliant guitarist!
49 year's and counting, Neil your music gets better and better each day I listen...it still feeds my spirit...Father of grunge, still..✌🏼

I thank God that I did not attend. I would have demanded my money back after hearing that song containing one cord over and over and over and over and over yeah it still sounded like crap!
Neil Young has been singing my spirits since I was 12. just want to say thank you

+Danny Maness Yes yes. except that "gawd" part, whatever.
And have you ever considered the subject of""Gawd "better to burn out than to rust
So do I!!!
I don't know what it is but every guitar solo of Neil Young give me goosebumps and i wish that the guitar solo never ends. What a great musician!
Saw him in 71 with Linda Rhonstat in OKC I play his music on my guitar his music and lyrics have grabbed me for 50 years. Peace
Rock´n Roll will never die as long as people listen to unique artists like Neil Young. He definitely breathes and lives music like noone else.
NEIL AND THE HORSE THE BEST. That was always the case.
I just love how the crowd is both young and old!
go yankees dump trump please vote
Neil flows like a river...watch him groove and dance!
His music is real, its true to his soul and unlike most others, its organic. He never sold out to the corporate suits either. One of very few!
Welcome to the 1960's ethics.
You rock my friend.
To me, listening to the first song here is like a shamanic experience...... the energy drawn from heaven to the world ...... to us humans.
Neil Young and Crazy Horse is really the true meaning of rock and roll. It doesn't get any better then this.

Neil Young still Rockin 2022
@@mindheartsoul1219 Explain why you feel he sold out?
@@BennieWilll as an example of what you're asking me.. Explain why You feel he didn't?
honestly that would take a Chapter or so
I'm speaking for myself the way I see things. the evidence exists to support it.
@@mindheartsoul1219 Around what time would you say he sold out... then?
This man is simply the greatest true composer and musittion of his time.Still laying it down his 70's. Don't miss him this tour, may not be another
I love you Neil Percival Young...you are my idol and inspiration!!!
for the xxxxxx time an evening on my laptop with uncle neil , dreaming a moment away in this rotten world, thnx neil
me too
I love to watch him feel the music!
'nuff said
agree whole heartedly been listening to neil since 60s and nothing better than neil live acoustic or electric
As I grow older, and in to the twilight of life, I will pass on some of the things that I feel I have learned of value. And I pray that for generations it will be known that one passed through the metric we know as time on this Earth, and that he left a footprint of genius that will forever be known, felt, and loved, as Neil Young. Amen

I could listen to him jam on guitar forever...
Que genial es el Maestro Neil Young y su Grupo Crazy Horse son verdaderamente "universales", el tiempo esta detenido para ellos!
