I'll be 72, but somehow I missed most of Neil's early stuff (50 yrs?!), but after living all that time and hearing it these last few months (I can't get enough of it), makes it seem like the first time and MORE in your face because I've lived those things and I understand it SO much more ... maybe I needed to live it in order to understand it. Neil was just wise earlier ... something I wish I had way back then. My life didn't turn out awful, but I wish I had been more mindful and wish there was a way to get a re-do... 🙏🌞☮️❣️
He'll set the lyric, continue with the instrumental hook, and burn the meaning into your consciousness. A true genius of any age. His music is an echo of his inner being: powerful, intricate, piercingly melodic with an in-your-face testimony to the grit of living. Let us all hope to evolve to such a sense of being.

Same here, and I whole-heartedly agree. Neil's always stayed true to the music. Kinda funny that Richie Furay & a few other Springfield bandmates didn't let him sing a couple of his own songs "because they didn't care for his voice".
And there is/was nobody like Joni Mitchell, John Prine, Stevie Wonder, Steve Windwood, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Marvin Gay, Aretha Franklin, Levon Helm, Town Van Zandt, Nancy Griffith, Laura Nyro, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Tina Turner, Curtis Mayfield, etc. and hell, Bob Dylan, too.

I cannot believe there can be any negative comments about this video. HOW can anyone hate on Neil Young? He is hands-down the most prolific singer-songwriter-musician of my lifetime. He CARES about the planet. You can disagree with his politics all you want, but you can never question his integrity and his honesty. To quote Uncle Neil: "Throw your hatred down." This man is a treasured musician, to be enjoyed - and he will be, for decades and centuries to come. If you can't appreciate Neil's music - go find yourself a Beyonce or Taylor Swift album. Which they won't be playing 50 years from now. But they WILL be Neil's body of work. 'nuff said
Born in 72 , yes , like Harvest ....and son of a little farmer in France Thanks Mister Neil for all your work. Only see you twice in Paris (without my tractor) each time was great great time ! particulary when your musik keep ass at Oasis ..... LOL !
The way he has evolved his music over the DECADES and still manages to touch so many is a testament to the brilliance and talent of Neil Young. Not to mention his conscious awareness of humankind as a whole eg wearing a shirt of the Australian aboriginal flag in this vid
Absolutely brilliant live as well as on vinyl/CD! It just feels like he's punching into my stomach, pulling out my intestines and playing them. Why doesn't he get into the top 10 lists of guitarists of all time? You can keep your Claptons, Neil Young is THE MAN!
Still has those beautiful guitar solos on the great Powderfinger. What a song. Bassist Billy Talbot comes in with the spooky ooohhs. Drummer Ralph Molina and Billy lock into the song’s groove while Young just keeps soloing. Young is telling the narrator’s story with his guitar as much as with his voice: The solos are beautiful but inexorable, a reminder that fate can smash you in the face like a shotgun shell. Not even a great versions but love it.
I love it when Neil turns Ol' Black loose..........you can feel that emotional rush coming on....it sends chills down my spine. Can't even imaging anyone pressing a thumbs down on this talent.
I've seen him live more than I can count. Way back in the TO days. I've seen some of the best rockers live but none could rock it so hard for 3 hours non stop.
I remember when neil re-invented himself with Crazy Horse and became the leader of a completely new genee of music. All the DJs were blown away! Hes a legend in his own time!

The older we get, and Neil is only six years older'n me, I swear Ill never get over Black's wail. Man it's just something that he planted in my soul in 1967 and I've not gotten over it all these years....Not sure I want to. Walk on giant Neil. No resistance here...you deserve it for you truly are a giant among among us in the realm of music genius and those of us that can appreciate you for who you are and the talent GOD gave you. Forever grateful!!!!!
Agree with everything you said, except Neil traded for old black in 1969. First heard on Everybody Knows LP, just sayin'... His sound playing the Gretsch guitars with the Springfield was still awesome. Been a fan since I was 7 in 1967. Those 2 notes on For What's Worth hooked me.
He ages like fine wine . There is no one like him never will be. Our music will live on forever. I love my generation. Young forever. Peace and Love , Pearline
Thanks Uncle Neil, on behalf of all your fans who did not have the opportunity to see in concert you last year, for generously sharing this magnificent performance with us. Long may you run.
I thank God that I did not attend. I would have demanded my money back after hearing that song containing one cord over and over and over and over and over yeah it still sounded like crap!
His music is real, its true to his soul and unlike most others, its organic. He never sold out to the corporate suits either. One of very few! Welcome to the 1960's ethics. You rock my friend.
I just absorb all of Uncle Neils Creations from start to present & never felt intrigued by a one man band performer who needs no one to amaze you w wit and message! Uber talented, such a committed artist thats literally the TOP of the Toppers as my a favorite for over 50 amazing yrs following him !!! Awesomeness at its BEST !!!! Thanks Uncle Neil for just doing what you do !!!
I saw CSNY in Cleveland in 1974 at the old muni stadium at the World Series of Rock. there were 88,000 people there along with The Band, Santana, and I believe James Gang. When Neil came out to do his acoustic solo, the place went eerily silent. He absolutely has a stage presence like no one. In my world he is the greatest musician of all time.
Yeah Neil is a great musician, but history will always remember when he tried in a pathetic way to silence people that were warning us of the dangers of the toxic vaccine they were trying to force us all to take, now we can see all the mayhem their toxic vaxines have caused, I hope he sleeps well at night.
Descubrí a Neil Young cuando llegue a USA, tenia 19 años en 1970, por suerte lo he visto en concierto solo y con CSN, his music got a hold of me forever, keep rocking Mr Young and entertain us😊
Neil did the same concert in Glasgow about then. I was 65 then and felt like a kid again, I was standing just 6 ft away from him. Thank for stopping by Neil.
I'm so fortunate to have a hero and Mentor like NIEL YOUNG. Even though back in the days feel when I say you're pretty crazy why you listen to that guy but I tell you what hold on to them rains of the Crazy Horse I will never forget regret any time that went by Merry Christmas y'all
The sound is a slightly monotonous, but is has become part of the hypnotic charm of the late career sound of this genius. It is like meditation. So yes, F***** Up and even Cinnamon Girl sem to me somehow played in a slower, relaxed, moody, tempo, while the Opening Number is… PURE POWER. Thank you Neil, for whispering, shouting, singing and even praying to my ears for almost 50 years.
As I grow older, and in to the twilight of life, I will pass on some of the things that I feel I have learned of value. And I pray that for generations it will be known that one passed through the metric we know as time on this Earth, and that he left a footprint of genius that will forever be known, felt, and loved, as Neil Young. Amen

Neil Young wrote the songs and played the soundtracks of my youth. Every song on certain albums resonate in my soul. Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, After The Gold Rush, American Stars And Bars, Time Fades Away, Harvest, Zuma. right there with you man! i'm 62 yrs. and i feel like this guy wrote the soundtrack to my life! there will NEVER be another NEIL YOUNG!
Play loud..with a 10 watts amp...you will hear..that grunge sound
I am 61 with the Spirit and very important 432 hz tuning vibration throughout the air on a Taylor or a PRS just don't have a Gibson, but I am shopping for a Vintage PRS McCarty model. Everyone have a blessed Sabbath day keep it holy be kind to one another. you can change the world just by the food you eat. Neil's quote. PS: Decalcify your Pineal Gland people and really wake up to the Divine self, as we have been created in his like. Love to you Neil and all God's children, we just took our souls and flew away........ Thank you again Neil 440 hz tuning is satanic frequency please Help stop the evil practice.
Go man 👍🏻❤
Rock´n Roll will never die as long as people listen to unique artists like Neil Young. He definitely breathes and lives music like noone else.
'nuff said
agree whole heartedly been listening to neil since 60s and nothing better than neil live acoustic or electric
Neil Young was my first concert back in the early 70's. The man is awesome. Never slows down. He'll still be rocking in heaven
What? He's not dead
@@heynow4512 It’s March2021 and he’s still not dead!!!!🤓
Born in 72 , yes , like Harvest ....and son of a little farmer in France Thanks Mister Neil for all your work. Only see you twice in Paris (without my tractor) each time was great great time ! particulary when your musik keep ass at Oasis ..... LOL !
These guys are at a completely different level.
Who else plays music that you feel in your BONES?
Freaking Awesome.
no one in my mind I still need a place to go
ballbusters
In your bones and deep in your soul!! Hes a genius.
47 years listen to Neil and it sounds amazing like it was on the first time...
There was a Mojo Magazine "best guitarist" list a while back that had Neil in the top 20
No one can defy the legend! Six decades of passionate and worthy music...
Neil Young has been singing my spirits since I was 12. just want to say thank you
👣🕊️💞🕊️🌎🌍🌏🕊️💞👣
Uncle Neil gets you stoned on pure sound Master Class Troubadour Dr. of sound dealer of peace and love the through craft Thank You Neil !!! :)
Australian indigenous flag on Neil's t shirt looks so cool ... still rocking on with the crazy horse !! 😀😎
So do I!!!
I remember when neil re-invented himself with Crazy Horse and became the leader of a completely new genee of music. All the DJs were blown away! Hes a legend in his own time!
psychedelic pill is a new masterpiece from a true master.its up there with on the beach, tonight's the night, zuma and after the goldrush. ramada inn is so raw and sad.
A true and great talent...the one and only, one of the
best musicians,songwriters,arrangers & performers
to ever take stage...also a great supporter of worthy
causes, such as the healing and protection of our
hurting planet and the American farms and farmers.
As a musician, he’s at the top.
Don't know what my life would have been like without Neil......and Bob lol......I could live the rest of my life listening to Neil on a desert island and be just fine.....
Seriously. Neil Young not only never lost it, he's gotten better with age. Freaking beautiful. The only good hippie is an old hippie :)
One of the true hippies......
🎸👀😎🎧
Neil young stole my heart a very long time ago.🌈🌞🌠

Well, there are definitely some good younger hippies. My 31 year old son has always been one. I do get a little perturbed when the young hippies think that they are the first to come up with stuff like awakening. I will give them credit for the term "woke" though. :)
I have Listen to Neil Young for more than 35 years now and this Show where he´s performing together with Crazy Horse is undoubtly one of the BEST I have ever experienced!
Thank you so very much to all of you performing this Show!!!
Greatest Attitue- Thanks!!!!!
+Danny Maness Yes yes. except that "gawd" part, whatever.
And have you ever considered the subject of""Gawd "better to burn out than to rust
This is a great rep of how Rock Music should be played. NY and Crazy Hose play the tunes with clarity and love. Superb footage of an Icon at work.
Saw him in 71 with Linda Rhonstat in OKC I play his music on my guitar his music and lyrics have grabbed me for 50 years. Peace
Four little guys makin some of the biggest music the world will ever know...thanks.
On a big stage, standing half a meter from each other,as if they are playing at their garage...!!So unique and true musicians!
Thanks Uncle Neil, on behalf of all your fans who did not have the opportunity to
see in concert you last year, for generously sharing this magnificent performance with us.
Long may you run.
💞
I thank God that I did not attend. I would have demanded my money back after hearing that song containing one cord over and over and over and over and over yeah it still sounded like crap!
C’est bien on peut jouer jusqu’à la fin et juste ,merci monsieur Young
Magnifique
I've been a big fan of Neil's for over 40 years now. Crazy Horse always manages to bring out his best. NOBODY rocks harder than Neil!
The absolute best. !!! Right on !!! ROCK ON !!!
His music is real, its true to his soul and unlike most others, its organic. He never sold out to the corporate suits either. One of very few!
Welcome to the 1960's ethics.
You rock my friend.
To me, listening to the first song here is like a shamanic experience...... the energy drawn from heaven to the world ...... to us humans.
If there is ever a musician that actually goes somewhere in mind and body when they are performing, it's Neil
and also Eric
@@pabloperez4063 Eric Clapton??
This man is simply the greatest true composer and musittion of his time.Still laying it down his 70's. Don't miss him this tour, may not be another
No words to say and nothing to compare for the greatnest of this guy..Long Live Neil Young! Extarordinary person..!
Those harmony vocals the rhythm section give him are so spot on.Perhaps the best grunge band on the planet.

Thee Greatest above all othe rest
Love Neil forevermore
Whenever the definitive history of rock is written (or updated), NY will always have a full chapter.
67 & he's a legend!
❤ I was listening to " Like a hurricane" in 1978, and it blows me away ❤️
🤨
I saw CSNY in Cleveland in 1974 at the old muni stadium at the World Series of Rock. there were 88,000 people there along with The Band, Santana, and I believe James Gang. When Neil came out to do his acoustic solo, the place went eerily silent. He absolutely has a stage presence like no one. In my world he is the greatest musician of all time.
Csn sucked when they came to Amarillo,Texas .. Neil Young rocked the show in Dallas, maybe 1986....third best garage band, I saw and was entertained...
Aka Ronnie vanzant
Following Neil from the early 70s best artist in the world love him
Yeah Neil is a great musician, but history will always remember when he tried in a pathetic way to silence people that were warning us of the dangers of the toxic vaccine they were trying to force us all to take, now we can see all the mayhem their toxic vaxines have caused, I hope he sleeps well at night.
@@michaelgalvin9592 you and I would make a good pair. I adore Neil Young. Best musician EVER!
NY got me through life 77-2024 still listening ❤
Neil did the same concert in Glasgow about then. I was 65 then and felt like a kid again, I was standing just 6 ft away from him. Thank for stopping by Neil.
Was für ein Mega - Concert von Young & Crazy Horse in Phoenix.. ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Natürlich meine ich Austin ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
I'm so fortunate to have a hero and Mentor like NIEL YOUNG.
Even though back in the days feel when I say you're pretty crazy why you listen to that guy but I tell you what hold on to them rains of the Crazy Horse I will never forget regret any time that went by
Merry Christmas y'all
HE STILL KICKIN' AND ALIVE! HIS VOICE DOESN'T CHANGE! LONG LIVE MR NEIL YOUNG.
Amen
John Wolf , are you still alive?
I like that John, I hope your still around. Long live unc Neil!!!!!

ie seen the needle and the damage done. lost loved ones hi bob lefebre peter ike etc.
you are so lucky. I want so badly to see him before hes gone.
Como é bom ouvir Neil Young e os Crazy Horse e como passei a juventude achando que um dia viria ao Brasil. Quando veio no Rock and Rio III eu não tive a mínima chance... Neste concerto em Austin City há o essencial. Obrigado!
I smoked alot of good stuff listening to this genius of a man of music and theory , God bless Neil Young and his family.
Neil Young wrote the songs and played the soundtracks of my youth. Every song on certain albums resonate in my soul. Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, After The Gold Rush, American Stars And Bars, Time Fades Away, Harvest, Zuma. One of the true great true rock legends who guided me trough times with LSD, psylocibine, pervetine, coke, benzedrine, dexedrine and so on. Those were the rocky seventies.
I saw NYCH in 1996 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and my jaw was on the floor. It was unbelievable, more than just a concert
Neil Young. Representing the aboriginal people of Australia. The fact he is wearing the aboriginal flag on his tshirt is awesome and commands my respect.
I would consider Neil to be Aboriginal before I would consider an aborigine to be indigenous.
Neil Young for President !!!!!

Neil was a neighbor when I lived in the redwoods of Santa Cruz Mts.
What a great summer that was. 💙✌🏽💙
Sadly, I've never seen him. One of the few legends I missed. Top of my bucket list after this nasty virus leaves us. He can still kick ass in concert. Just awesome!
A damn good show no doubt
