I used to rag on the price of the Model 1, but this video definitely has justified the price. I had no idea how much work went into the mixer. The price for the Model 1 is more than fair.
So pleased with my new unit one of the main reasons I justify paying a premium was that it was build over here in the UK and NOT BUILT by A@H which I’ve had so many problems with with so many of there units. Model 1 Amazing mixer great sound and built quality large company’s should take note. Thanks Richie
awesome. its this QC that convinced me to buy one. However: I have a few issues' I noticed. 1) in a dark environment, I can see the white prefader&line/dsub buttons at the top stil be a half lit (and asymmetrical, one more than the other) when they are 'off'. so clearly not the same brightness. 2) I can hear a hum/buzz through the cue output on my headphones, when the cue/mix is set all the way to mix, and the level (volume) is set at >60%. Not sure if this is normal. And 3) when I use the 'master filter on' button as a performance tool, so playing with the master filter and then quickly disabling it by hitting the 'master filter on' button, I do hear a (minor) click sometimes. Isnt this supposed to be silent (zero crossing technology)? Hope to hear if this is something I should accept, or something that may have 'slipped' QA/QC in my case.
Are your 2 inner Line/Dsub select buttons on ch 2&3 darker than the 2 outside ch 1&4 ones? Im not sure if this is normal or my unit has an issue like yours. Also when I turn the LED brightness knob up and down the Line/Dsub and pre fade buttons are not effected they stay the same brightness, Is this the same with yours? Cheers

The question is, did Play Different fix the wearing off the 'stickers' on the mixer? There have been lots of issues with them wearing... Maybe Play D. should be manufactured in China... Who knows.
Pity Allen and heath have lost this type of production....moving to China was their worst move! Believe me, I sent my Xone 96 back straight away due the the left and right stereo signal not matching on all 4 channels...

I have this mixer for 8 months now. ABSOLUTELY BLOWS MY MIND combined with REM sound card. HIGHLY recommend. Thank you Richie my man.

You gotta appreciate that this isn’t built in China like 90% of all electronic devices are. You can see it’s built with some craftsmanship!!!!

they are just assembling the mixer here. The PCB are made from another company. So basically its like building a computer and ships them off.
