i like how people are complaining about bass volume maybe i just have an ear for it or something but i hear every note the bassist is playing clear as day.
No wonder he blew his voice with some of these screams but I love it. Their new album was a masterpiece and i've waited 10 years to see them again now . Still waiting for the European tour
I really don't believe he ever truly recovered from that 2018 fiasco. Hell, even just recently, he blew his voice again. Look up their most recent performance of this song at some Quebec festival. He sounds almost nothing like here...
The reverb is a result of playing outside and having the sound bounce back from the buildings in front of the stage. The biggest problems playing outside is having your sound drowned or having it bounce back.
This video was depressing to me because they are such an awesome band playing such awesome music and there are like two people in that crowd acting like they are enjoying the show.
This video depresses me because there are no original members in the band anymore and Rody sounds awful and can't scream at all anymore. Has the crowd do all the best parts of the songs
@@Ascendancy- Yeah, Rody unfortunately blew his voice out a few years back when they were on tour, iirc. I remember him posting on social media apologizing for cancelling some shows. I'm not sure he's been the same since. They sure did have a hay day though. I still listen to most of their old stuff. Nothing but love for PTH.
Have you ever been in a metal band before? It's called vibes, it's a mutual exchange of energy between two entities, one being the band, the other being the crowd. Metal and the metal artists tend to give off a lot of energy onstage, so you'd expect the crowd to return the favor. If they don't and just stand there, looking like zombies at a circus, it's literally "killing the vibes." So, please if you wanna just go stand around at a show, go see some reggae and chill the fuck out.
@GodspeedYouBlackEmp It's much easier to look cool playing poly-rhythms than dancing to them. You're obviously not in a band because it's an honor just to have people come to a show just to listen,
Running in circles and hitting each other doesn't constitute a good crowd. These tuff guys gotta realize music like this isn't made for drunk people to try and hurt each other in a passive aggressive way. Protest makes music that provokes alternative thinking both rationally and musically. If you need to hit people during a performance you are the one who should be questioning your relevance to the show itself. I would much rather look out and see people mouthing my lyrics than play fighting.
It's very funny to watch those three awkward individuals in the 'moshpit' doing embarrassing things, while other people seem to be distancing themselves from them so they aren't infected by that weird illness :D
Thank you for proving my point. It was your first comment that criticized how these people enjoyed a subjective experience "worst fucking crowd". My credentials were to make a point about a certain community (musicians) I was a part of in my schooling. So no, not a sweeping generalization; instead, a four year observation of hundreds of individuals. My point: moshing is not the only way to enjoy a metal show. How about WATCHING, like with other arts and other musics for hundreds of years?
Moshing to PTH seems to be very difficult
The original lineup was just a miracle of music. All 5 could never be replaced and bring the same vibe.
I really miss Moe and Riff
Not only does this band kill it live they just ooze charisma especially that bassist I could watch him all day.
I miss Arif in PTH so fckin much
This band is ridiculous. Ridiculously good!!! :D
Rody's vocals are freaking awesome
Without effort
All the backup vocals in Bone Marrow are fucking awesome
Such an awesome guitar-play, so clean. Awesome.
i like how people are complaining about bass volume maybe i just have an ear for it or something but i hear every note the bassist is playing clear as day.
Amazing Guys!!!!
Hail From Brazil!!!!
!!!
Haha, as Rody says "those guys are our generation's limp bizkit" Arif plays the opening riff for Re-Arranged. Nice one Riffy!
When i hear them live first time i was f#@* yeah 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
My fav band for a reason
"Jesus, those guys are our generation's Limp Bizkit!"
No no no
Love these guys SO MUCH! WOW
Now this. This is protest the hero. I met them with trivium in 2006… OG line up. Shout out to all the current members too 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Lucky mfer
HIs voice is amazing!!!
So.. I can hear the bass drums, Rody's singing, and Arif's bass drop in C'est la vie and that's about it..
omg i just noticed that rody looks like renely baratheon here
Why are there no decent pro shots of PTH shows anywhere? Even their DVD is terrible quality.
Live at Resurrection Fest 2016 has a bad mix but the performance is great
Because sadly, nobody knows that PTH exists haha. I've been obsessed since Happy Go Lucky. But I'm an Ontario boy.
amazing vocals. great quality video production!
so good, rody's voice is great as is the camera work and audio. more of this set if possible, fucking love these guys

Such a great band! Love how they are from Whitby too!
their such and awsome righteous band, they deserve better fans.

Yes, he is.
I can't wait to see what this guys will be playing 10 years from now.
And?
They've got some really Godly records under their name now. Check out their music if you still haven't lol.

I miss Arif lol
fucking killer bassist
Yeah, as a bass player I was really sad when he left the band!
Giuseppe Gallo yeah that's depressing af
Luke is the mix between talent and persistence
Oh man, Protest the Fucking Stupid Hero is my favorite band.
I'm like 90% sure Arif is blaze...
Arif is pretty much perma-stoned. :)
id fucking crush this crowd

They're enjoying the music
"Hey we're Protest the fuckin' stupid Hero.." LOL!!!
So apparently crowds are rated completely by their movement? When I go to see a band like PtH, I want to actually fucking watch them play.
Right after Scurrilous they were at peak I feel, firing on all cylinders.
"protest the fucking stubid hero" gotta love rodys attitude :D
Tolle Qualität ! So hätte deren DVD eigentlich aussehen sollen ...

@@MrDawson17 sick man. thanks for responding to my reply of your decade old comment haha
@@Ascendancy- it was fun seeing a notification for a 10 year old comment, I'll admit.
worst crowd i have seen so far
I go to shows to watch the band.
Holy shit, Rody is on FIRE here.
I don't know what you guys are talking about. I'd be too dumbfounded by the fact that I'm watching Protest the fucking Hero to move.

LUKE WITH THE HILARIOUS CREEPY STARE AT 7:58 FOR THE WIN
i'd like to know what the pit was doing the whole time... looks like they're square dancing in a round house.
Everyone in the concert is like Mhe ... WTF!!! I would give half of my body to be there!!!

Smile for the camera, Luke

Definitely our generations Limp Bizkit. Love Rody hahahaha
@nogbut no, but we only filmed 4 songs ;)
Nice video!!, You have more recordings of this show???
Bass sound's never too loud till the last one on the crowd are bleeding through his ear
No crowds compare to Toronto metal fans. Especially for Protest The Hero
pth: practices like shit
pth live: we're so goood
yea man that's Moe the drummer they've always had
@Earf777 Würdet ihr auch für weniger bekannte Bands etwas in dieser Qualität machen ?
I legit burst out laughing accidentily multiple times when they surprise cut to the pit.
weird fucking shit.
Pretty sure Luke is playing the Ibanez S5570 Prestige, thoughts ?
+Patrik Ďurica its s5470 prestige. no longer being produced but you can find it in music stores.
Fuck yes Bone Marrow! :D
@Earf777 did they only do 4 songs?
