It's time for a few small upgrades on the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Cateye NBS Regular Cab. When I bought this I knew it would be dependable and we could dress it up a little at a time. I have decided to take a different approach with this one. I want to use mostly used parts and see how we can make it look. Some items we will not be able to buy used but for the most part I am going to search for used stuff. In this video we install a new billet bowtie, short antenna and glass from a donor vehicle. I also install new speakers in the doors. I show you how to remove the side glass in a silverado or sierra. The process to replace the door glass is not hard. If you have a 10mm socket and a helper, it can be done in less time than removing the door panel takes. I will say I may have to remove the window tint because without the back window done, your eyes can't adjust which makes it hard to see. For the door speakers I installed some Memphis speakers out of my green Sierra with new baffles to protect the speakers and metra mounting rings. The rings make installing speakers in a silverado or sierra a breeze. The baffles increase the output and also protect the speakers from moisture in the door. The final thing is the short antenna. I think I have one on every single vehicle in my fleet. LOL Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......

I just finished installing a 2014-2018 rear bumper on my 2006 silverado. Bolts right up, awesome upgrade! Corner steps and trailer connector in the bumper.

I used the rocker covers on my ext cab they work amazing and cover all the rust

I haven't been able to find the rocker covers for the regular cab, it's what I was planning on my cateye as well
I think you can use the extended cab ones.

Does that short antenna get good reception in the country areas?
I can get stations 50 miles away with it

Every area is different. Depends on buildings and trees

@@TWAMotorsportsYes it was, only buy GM body parts, no thin metal replacements. I do still have a black tailgate, ac lines and condenser, radiator support mount w/ factory trans cooler(used, but in good shape)(that the headlights and radiator attach to). Radiator support brand GM painted Satin Canyon Black. Condenser may have a buyer but everything else is for the taking. After I get my trans rebuilt I may have some other parts also to go, like my factory 20" rims (chrome), a slightly used throttle body, spacer and cold air intake. Not sure what route I am gonna go this time.
