In this video I show you how to replace those worn out, old, faded, silverado headlights. The cateye silverado looks so much better with a fresh set of lights. One common issue on all gm trucks are over time they get yellow and begin to fill with water. Once a headlight has water it needs replaced. It also causes the bulbs to go out. We are replacing the head light and turn signal housings. Since we are replacing them I decided to upgrade the Daytime running lights and blinker bulbs with LED. I also replace the 2nd blinker bulbs with new bulbs. I also wanted a cheap upgrade to the factory headlight bulbs. We installed new LED bulbs in the hi and low beams. These lights make a huge difference over the factory bulbs. The new headlights really clean up the front of the truck as far as looks. While the grille was out. (I also show you how to remove the grill) we paint the support bars behind it to clean up the look through the grill. The truck is actually already wired for a exterior temperature sensor so we also install one of them. The last thing I do is show you how to aim your chevy silverado headlights. Aiming your new head lights is required and really a good idea after installing new housings on a silverado. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......

Shaping up nicely. Funny how sometimes the smallest thing can make a big difference!!! ✌🏻
Thank you. I agree. Small things make big changes

Great content for us NBS guys , just keep these video's coming brother
Thank you. I'm gonna try
That truck is looking sharp now! 😍
Getting better
I love the silver behind the grill. To each their own!
You like the worn off paint?
The birds where keeping you company, so you wouldn't get lonely.
Lol. Just what I needed
Very Nice Video! I enjoy these type of videos , nice and simple with no extra annoying edits.
Thank you
Damm!!!! Love those snake 🐍 boots dad 👌👌oh yeah those lights look great
Lol. He loves his boots!
Nice video Travis on the lawn mower truck.. LEDs and new headlights housing makes a difference in looks and safety 😎...
Thank you Keith. Definitely better lighting at night.
Good morning, Travis. Another beautiful detail job and break down of how too video. 👊
Thank you Sir
@@TWAMotorsports welcome. How's your red Trans am build coming along
Slow. Still waiting on a few little things and time
Amazing what just a little bit of paint and new lights can do to a truck.
I agree. Definitely looks better
Great video Travis. Keep them comming.
Thank you. I'm gonna try
10x better what lil thing can do
Thank you Daniel. I agree.
The truck videos are dope
Thank you
Just did a v6 to v8 swap on my 03 silverado rcsb.... it's amazes me GM never put an external trans cooler on these v6 trucks. It only goes through the radiator. I added a trans cooler but no wonder so many v6 4l60's are burning up. Heat kills those things. Had many cammed built ls motors behind them and never had an issue with the 60's as long as you keep them cool. Mine hovers around 140-150 in mid summer. Good stuff sir, details make a truck.
Thank you. I agree. Heat is the enemy
If it’s a v8 add some performance parts into the engine and make the transmission stronger so you can haul
It's a V6
I'm going to call you later on too get up a quote on you installing a cam in my boy AFTERBURNER.
It’s over I like this truck if Xavier rings this truck to muffler to go to the wheels closer of Deb’s side short buddy 29:50
you can find some good clips online or at your local auto parts store
I need to
You should get a tan an move to Texas
I don't tan! Lol
those clips your trying to find, trying to think where i got mine from?,
I found some that work but not factory
Pardon me for asking, but what does NBS mean? I have a 2005 Cateye rc/lb. I thought NBS was an acronym for’New Body Style’ on the 2007 & newer. But this video is about a Cateye. I’m doing to mine, what he is doing to this one. Great video
New body style
Cateye is a 2003 to 2007 classic Silverado. Still a nbs though
@@TWAMotorsports I figured it was the same meaning, just from a different era. I love the Cateye style. I’m doing a lot of upgrading to my 2005. It was my grandpa’s farm truck. Very plain. I’ve already added some 2007 aluminum OEM wheels. What a difference!
Definitely bet that looks good
Question for you ! If you install LED bulbs do I need to upgrade the headlight housing? Installed the lights in your link in my truck same exact truck as yours and my LEDs pointing to the sides and brights on looks like one whole light if that makes sense.
They do need to face a certain way. Look at instructions in the led light box
@@TWAMotorsports I have them at a 9 to 3 like it says to have ! Still pointing to sides an hitting my grill making the lights uneven
I didn't have that issue
I used TYC in mine as well. Was super happy with the quality. Until after about 9 months the headlights started to de-laminate. Have you ever had this issue?
I haven't
@@TWAMotorsports thank you for the reply. Maybe in this TX heat I need to put some kind of protectant on them
Could be. Nothing seems to last like originals
I need that silver part painted on my truck 🤦🏻♂️
Most do
What led 9005 & 06 bulbs would you recommend to use ?
I like my lasfits honestly
@@TWAMotorsports Which ones there are several to choose from. I thought you preferred the sealight one's.
Sealight are ok too. Lasfit is better however
@@TWAMotorsports ok, which lasfit model should I buy? I know you don't buy junk!
La series is generally what I buy
What headlights do you recommend for a 99-02? I tried checking the videos from the red stepside but didn't see any headlights listed. Thank you.
I did on my green truck. Same tyc brand from this video.
Ok I should have dug a little deeper. Thank you again and as always great videos!
Thank you
no Trans cooler?
It has a transmission cooler
U know u didn’t had to take off the whole grill
I do. Way easier in my opinion
Always changing lights debaging an lowering fucking boring
What do you suggest?
