After dealing with the falling headliner in the chevy Silverado (aka lawn mowing truck) it was time to remove it and fix. If you own a gmc sierra or chevrolet silverado at some point you are going to have to replace the headliner. Over time the glue fails and it starts to fall. In this video I show you how to remove a chevy silverado headliner and install a new or fixed one. Since we have it out I decided to fix a couple other things. The rear 4x6 speakers in the truck were bad so we got a new replacement set. I also added a new GM 3rd brake light and interior led bulb. The third brake light also seems to be an issue for leaking water on your headliner. It really needs to be removed to pull the headliner correctly. Of course you know how I am so I had to clean all the parts and panels before reinstalling. On headliners and and sunvisors I like to use a damp microfiber or super clean and gentle scrub off the stains. Since the headliner material is thin you can generally get all the stains out as they are on the surface on not deep in the material. Hopefully this video helps you remove and replace your silverado or sierra headliner. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......

Thank you
It looks 10 times better man, always a pleasure to see these details get fixed.
Thank you. Definitely coming along
Hello Travis. Nice step by step on the headliner and speakers. I am going to replace the rear speakers in my 13 Silverado soon. The tips on popping the clips is very helpful. I am like you, I hate to break the clips. You might as well do some of the small stuff on the truck. It will make good content for your videos.
Thank you Larry. Yeah small things little buy little should help make it look more presentable.
Thanks Travis! I studied your video and have removed the headliner from my 2007 GMC Sierra 1500. I have ordered replacement material.
Nice. Good job
G.M. was evil genius in the coat hook design!
Lol. For sure
Nice job installing the new headliner in the mower truck.. 👍..
Thank you Keith
That kid in the back made the basket in all 10 times didn’t even miss a single shot 🏀
Used to be a baller
Great job Travis. Looks 100% better.
Thank you. Definitely coming along
Keep on going, perfect work truck!!! Don't know why people don't use the Metra wiring adapter for chevy to aftermarket speakers like $16.00 for 4 and most other makes are under $20.00. Totally worth not having to solder and their stuff is quality!!! My go to aftermarket audio stuff..✌🏻
I agree but most are already cut
@@TWAMotorsports Travis I wasn't calling you out, your rides or better and cleaner than factory. LoL when I was a teenager (a long time ago) I did the same cut, twist and tape had to listen to them now😂 but that was in the 70's... I don't think we even had a house phone.🤣🤣. Just think if we had all the options then, ordering from JC Whitney was just about the only aftermarket we had and was made in the USA back then. Man the good old days 😉!!! ✌🏻
Lol. I did the same when I just wanted to hear it. Remember my first stereo install when I hooked power to the amp turn on and fried the radio.
Another job well done! Thanks for the hard work.
Thank you
Good evening, Travis. Another great video
Thank you
Do a quickie paint job on the inside of the box and put down a mat it’ll make a world of difference
Probably just keep it as is
I’d like to see a junk yard haul on that truck. New hood, tailgate mirror.
Its coming
Great video, I’d hate to know how much you paid for them single cabs lol. Them trucks are like gold here in Texas.
They are high here too
Enjoyed the video !! I am going to have to replace my headliner in my 96 Silverado soon
Thank you. I have one of those coming soon too
@@TWAMotorsports Where do you get the fabric?
My local upholstery shop
keep the great work hope you have a great week and I need do my headliner for my 2005 Silverado regular cab
Thank you. Not a bad job actually
I got the same 4x6 kickers. They’re sick.
They are decent for the money
I dont think thats how push pin Pullers work... 😂 I cant be the only one to notice that, Right? 😅
Looks good tho 👌 As long as the job gets done 🤷
Great video thanks for sharing👍
Thank you
Did the upholstery guy take the material to the edge like factory or wrap it around some?
Over the edge is the only way to go.
Nice vid man. Appreciate it. Did you truck come stock with black dash?
Thank you. Dark gray not black.
There’s a button on the dash to turn off the light
Yep
Great job
Thank you
Have you ever considered wrapping the headliner black / dark grey? I did mine myself. Did the sun vizier. It was my first time so I didn't know how to wrap it around the tight edges of the visors. And I died the roof plastic black and what wouldn't hold the dye, the sun vizier plastics, I painted mat black. But your upholstery guy should be able to handle all of that.
I have but like the stock look
@@TWAMotorsports understandable
Travis, you always install led interior bulbs on your builds. I have a 99 Silverado nbs and I'm looking to do the same. Do you have any from Amazon you'd recommend? I'm not wanting to add diodes or anything. Thx
Lasfit never has an issue
Amazing job. Where did you purchase the headliner? My truck has the same color headliner.
Came from parts truck
How many bulbs does the third brake light have? Looking to replace all the bulbs inside of it for some leds. Would appreciate some insight.
4. 2 for brake light. 2 for cargo light
@@TWAMotorsports do you know what size bulbs? Or the number on the bulb, want to replace the bulbs inside mines.

I need my headliner re-done also, what's a fair price to get it done?
If they have to remove it. Less than $200. If you do less than $100
does a Silverado’s 04 headliner fit a 05 Sierra? (Base models standard cabs)
Yes it does
Where you get the headliner? I’m looking for one for my 2005 Silverado 🧐
Came out of a parts truck. Have one if you are close to Missouri
@@TWAMotorsports what color is it?
Gray
@@TWAMotorsports can you please send me pictures of it.
Don't have the yruck anymore
Very cool
Thank you
I’ll buy that old headliner off you! Mine is rotten and can’t find any single cab ones 😭
I have it but not going to try to ship it.

Replace it
You skipped every important step. No help at all.
You gonna have that a daily before long lol
I have been daily driving it recently
