Had the very pleasure of playing the technical test and it plays already at least as good as the first game. The characters are again very sympathetic, and Hecate is voiced by Amelia Tyler, the narrator in Baldur's Gate 3. She is just wonderful. :D
The second Moros showed up, my girlfriend was like "Oh - _hello?!_" Well... I guess the series does what it knows best. :D
Can't wait to play it and 100% it!
Managed to take part in the technical test and it was seriously good fun :D Cannot wait for early access to begin so I can jump back in :)
I'm bouncing in my seat because I am specifically waiting for Hades 2 to come out, so I can play BOTH back to back. I'm going to have so much fun!

So the good news is the Technical Test ended on Monday and Supergiant said if the test went well (it seemingly went very well but the very few bug reports on Steam forums) that EA would start very shortly. I'd wager EA will start within May with early June being that absolute latest.
I read something about EA starting somewhere between May 3rd and May 17th. Which is to be taken with a grain of salt - because "Internet" - but seriously... that would be amazing.

Well the tech test ended on Monday, and I cannot wait to jump into this when its out in early access. NGL my eye started twitching at some of the pronunciation of the character names lol.
Well, the sequel is cooler than the original. The arcana is better than a mirror, the bloodstone was replaced with a pentagram, which is better. And I can use the Witch's Time. Death to Kronus.
Though weapons in first part are much better. Weapons in second just not as fun to use
The weapons are kinda lame compared to the original. Let's wait until they release the full content
Ngl, bit gutted they made a sequel to hades, it didnt really need a sequel and id love to see their creativity go into something else
Very few games "need" a sequel but with how outstanding the first game was an Supergiant's stance on expansions getting a full sequel is great. They clearly had a wealth of ideas they didn't get to put into the first game and wanted to flesh them out while telling a further story for Zag's family.
@@Ashtarte3D it's not even really a sequel, they said themselves that you don't need to have played the first or even be aware of the setting.... So whats the point in it being Hades 2 is all I'm saying. But each to their own I guess.

Oof. I generally think you guys are great but a big miss here in referencing the stream but obviously not watching it given the pronunciation of the main character. Do like, five more seconds of research next time my dudes.
Most channels mispronounce names on purpose, it causes people to make comments and that helps the video get higher in the algorithm.

@@WillowMoonlight555 I doubt they did it on purpose cause some voice actors also mispronounce things pretty wrong, SGG wouldn't try and do that just for more comments I think
@@dominicgavito oh yeah. I didn't articulate well I now realize but I don't really think they were doing that here just I can believe some channels *would* do that and that's icky. This specific case still just feels kinda unprofessional since they had the correct pronunciations right there.

German citizen here - to be fair, even the voice actors in the game couldn't agree on how to properly spell _Selene_.

So did they give a compelling reason why they didn't just bring the main character back other than put a chick in it and make it lame or gay? Considering if we just take the true ending of Zag reuniting hades and persephone and he's escaped Hell so he's not in hell when Kronos takes over. Wouldn't he like ya know come back to save his Dad?
If they pull a last of us part 2 and somehow in the story of hades 2 they just said he did come back and try to stop kronos but got killed/imprisoned both reasons aren't gonna be super compelling for me.
Did you not play the first game lol, Zagreus never escaped the underworld, in the epilogue all the gods find out about Hades and Persephone and Zagreus continues to try and escape to help Hades. It's explained that Chronos (Not Kronos who is a god), captured Zagreus, Persephone, and Hades very early into his war. Melinoe was brought out by Hecate I believe and was easier to save because she was a baby. Also if you're concerned about the game being gay I have bad news for you buddy.

1. Zagreus never escaped the underworld, he starts dying as soon as he steps foot outside of the underworld, he eventually meets his mother who goes back to the underworld after you beat hades and talk to her a couple of times
2. its greek myth, everything is gay
3. in the first game you were already able to romance both a male (Thanatos) and female (Megaera) charater so what does having adding a female mc really change?
4. a new mc gives the devs an easy way to include new mechanics and weapons
boycotting dei infused games no matter how good game is. the sooner we stop supporting, the sooner they stop pushing games we dont want.
orrrrrrr, let the devs make what they want and if you don't like the game don't play it. I'm very happy to play expertly made games like Hades and Hades 2 which is coming up. Make choices based on the actual game instead of boycotting something because the protagonist is a woman.
