This maximalist design in terms of power-ups is one big reason why I find SotN better than the other Igavanias and much more replayable. There are life and heart vessels, level up from exp, sub-weapons, spells, familiars, transformations, power-ups for the transformations, money, hearts, a magic bar that recovers, an absolute TON of weapons and other equipment, throwable/consumable items, and special attacks / effects for weapons, transformations and familiars. The team just kept putting cool things in the game for players to find and use. Latter Igavanias took a more restrained approach in comparison, with like two or three systems around, and they suffer from it IMO. They'll have one or two best weapons that you can simply find around or craft, a few magic attacks that are way better than anything else and that's it. There's little surprise. While in SotN a lot of the best weapons are random drops, and they're the best because of their special properties and not simply a greater attack number. A player could finish the game several times before finding about the Crissaegrim, or the Masamune, or the Shield Rod combos.
i agree with you, but i feel there's nothing interesting for looking to rare drops items if the game are just not difficult and you just dont need alot of stuff, there are alot of content that in a normal walktrough them didnt even appear cause the rarity of the drop, for me, sotn and aos are the best, the ds game are just bullshit random anime game
I choose to believe that these item descriptions for the food at least paint what Alucard likes and dislikes. As such I further choose to believe that him loving New York style pizza with extra cheese and simultaneously is not a fan of cholesterol-heavy food is canon and I find this super endearing for some reason.
The greatest game of all time. A legitimate 10/10. Perfect gameplay, music, sound effects, characters, etc. Great video, I clicked on this even though I've collected everything in the game a million times.
@@ISAACHALLEY3000 You've really done a great service to all players of this game here. I hope many more people can watch your video. I subscribed, Thank you!
my only gripe about this game is it gets waaay to easy by mid/late game - have you tried the no exp mod or hard mod? should give you fresh gameplay experience, a must try for me
Very well detailed, just one thing forgotten. The Life Apple does not heal for 100, but rather revives Alucard when he dies but has the fairy familiar equipped. Still, excellent video. Thanks!
The video covers all items dropped by enemies, not the ones found around the castle. The Sword of Dawn is found in the Reverse Keep, behind a breakable wall.
kiling the owl knight is so sad :(
What I'm wondering is how did Dracula find someone to bring him New York style pizza?
right? XD
Good to know that New York style pizza was a thing even back in the 18th century 😁
the most underated video of all time

This game is the gift that keeps on giving. To this day, I'm still discovering things.
Din’t show the skull shield skill.
Am also obsessed with this game since 1998.
Wow I've never seen that shield staff ability with the giant zombie head. It's scary lol

It is and will always be a masterpiece! A legend that will live forever! ♾️❤️🫶🙌♾️
I can't even imagine how much time you've poured into this video. well done man
thank you very much 👍
Too many end game weapons in 1 game😂🤣
indeed XD
43:10 ... Am I crazy, or the Frozen Half summoned a Hydro Storm??? 🤔
Use the duplicator so you can spawn all consumables, is pretty cool.
Mablung Sword can also do the Shield Spells, just like the Shield Rod does. 😉

didn't knew about this, thanks man 👍
@@ISAACHALLEY3000 Thanks to you too, and once again, grateful for the effort in this video, super useful for future Gameplay strategies.
What is that thing in the thumbnail? I've never seen it before in the game.
@@FamousAaron99 I have no idea man xD all I know is that it deals a lot of damage to enemies
Another thing I notice is that the voice actor sounds very deferent from the Playstation version.
this voice acting is from the PSP version
@@ISAACHALLEY3000 🤔
Excellent video your hard work is much appreciated
thank you brother
Never knew the axe armor dropped the axe subweapon, thats so cool
🙃🕳️🙂🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
They didn't change the Basilard description as a knife but instead of a sword 😏
Is this the psp version? Sound fx is different
This is the PS4 version. Castlevania Requiem Collection.
Yes. It’s the PSP version that was ported to PS4

Thanks for this video, mate. Shoul’ve taken so many hours to completw ❤
thanks man 👍
hahah yes, it took me a while
Sword of dawn is missing am I wrong?

@@kwirant thx for the clarification 😊
@@kwirant Thanks, I never knew that! I'm still discovering things about this game!
Summons the "Warriors of Dawn" such untapped lore, wonder if they're ever mentioned in later games I might have missed.
no wonder the soldiers of the church failed badly, they were equipped with cloth tunics and using knives as a weapon.
hahah
right?
