He and Hunter Henry made a play against Ole Miss to help get my Crimson Tide to win the west and go on to win the NC. I will forever like to thank them both.
Make sure when you mention Corey Clement, you put super bowl champion in front of it. Played well for us and was apart of the league's #1 rushing attack, and he also scored a beautiful TD in the superbowl.
I remember wasting a Dynasty pick on Alex Collins in his second year. Had the 5th pick was between him, Chubb his rookie year, or Josh Allen his rookie year. Went with Collins because I thought he was going to be special on the Ravens.
I’ll never forget what Hunter Henry and Alex Collins did to Ole Miss that year and I’m super thankful cause them beating Ole Miss got Bama into the SECCG and the rest is history. Bama wins NC.
Derrick Henry, Alvin Kamara, Alex Collins, Zeke Elliott… all good. But yeah, I just looked up the class and besides them and maybe a couple that were ranked under the rivals250 I didn’t see any others. Edited: I forgot Henry was listed as an ATH. As a Bama fan there were a lot of people that thought we’d move him to a LB position.
Cory Clemente was a pretty decent player ( he just in a scheme that didn’t fit him) but he played a huge part in the Eagles SB win, with 100 yards as a pass catching rb.
This list is slightly deceptive as the best RB to come out of this class, Derrick Henry, was listed as the #1 Athlete instead of the #1 RB coming out of high school that year. There were many coaches, chief among them Will Muschamp at Florida, that wanted to convert Henry to LB. There were more than a handful of Alabama fans who were of the same persuasion due to us taking players like Kamara, Jones, and Tenpenny.
@@ScottFisherCFBthen why didn't you mention him Alvin kamara or Ezekiel Elliott? Lol the 2013 class wasn't weak the best players just wasn't who everyone expected
A fun idea could be position room video. Like the Alabama rb position when Kamara was with the Tide. I’m sure USC and OU had some ridiculous QB depth in the early 00s.
Derrick Green had an odd story and he was one of those guys who's film you looked at and knew he wouldn't match his ranking. He was always a big kid and in HS - his Soph or Junior year, IIRC - he grew into his body enough to play HB. However, you can see in those photos just how bad of shape he was in college. He looked like a bowling ball sitting on chopsticks. He lost what little speed he had and was never a really aggressive runner for his size to begin with. He's a rare case of a kid that got in to worse shape in college. Very similar to another major HB that didn't pan out at Michigan just a few years later, Kareem Walker. Walker peaked ad a Sophmore in High school. #1 player in his class, committed to Ohio State as they played for and won the National Championship. A year later he decommitts from OSU and chooses Michigan. What few outside of recruiting knew was that OSU basically processed him because he either wasn't continuing to work out or had reached his max at 16yo. By the time he got to Michigan he had thighs about as thick as his calves, lol. He had a pretty soft but passable upper-body but he looked like he had never done a squat in his life...and played like it. Another guy who's Senior film just screamed "bust".
Corey clement plays for Dallas Cowboys now, and he plays special teams and I believe he has been the best player from that class out of the RB he’s been making big time plays and can hit too, people don’t understand how hard it it is to make the NFL, Collins still plays at RB but Corey should be at least #2.
Thomas Tyner was a stud but he fell off that second year because he had a bad shoulder injury and took a medical retirement. Was good to see him come back, albeit briefly and in rival colors.
Let's see...At Arkansas, Alex Collins played in 38 games with 14 starts … Totaled 3,703 yards rushing and 36 touchdowns on 271 carries. He became only the third player in SEC history to open his career with three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons on ground, joining former Razorback Darren McFadden and Georgia great Herschel Walker on the esteemed list. He finished his career as the SEC’s active leader in career yards rushing.
These videos a great, it shows Imo that going "D1" isn't all it's cracked up to be. Go somewhere where you'll have the opportunity to play a lot, and get a good education for free. It's not all about going to the biggest school.
Corey Clement might not have done much after his rookie year, but let's not forget that he ended that season by having a 100 yard receiving game in the Superbowl. Big big part of why the Eagles won it that year.
Collins is only the third player in sec history to run for 1k his freshman sophomore and junior season. The other two? Hershel walker and Darren McFadden.
When you say "He played all 3 sports", I take it you mean Curling, Tennis and Water Polo? I don´t have a clue how many sports there are, but I do know that three is putting it a tiny bit low!
His spectacular season with the Ravens alone is enough to erase his name off this list. Dude was/is a stud. Just got in a little trouble with some smoke smoke at his peak in the league or he would have never experienced a fall off.
Scott, you made great videos, but the title and premise of this video is disingenuous. Kamara, Henry and Zeke are among the top backs in the league right now and are from this class. Just because they are listed as an “All-purpose back” and an “Athlete” shouldn’t exclude them in the conversation of running backs. That’s really the only position they’ve played their entire career
You literally do the same thing flemlo raps does lol but hey 67 thousand subs I can’t hate if I knew how u work a computer id make vids also easy money
Scott, it seems that you use it as a filler word. It’s common for people to use filler words such as “actually” or “like”. Mindfulness of it helps cut down on it. Otherwise great video. Keep up the good work.
Also to be more precise, I noticed that you used it as a filler a lot when talking about player # 7. It was earlier in the video where you said it as a filler a lot. As the video went on you stopped saying it except when it was appropriate to say it to make a point (e.g. “Aloha HS sounds like it’s in Hawaii, but it is actually in…)
If you watched Alex Collins play at Arkansas you’d know he was awesome
He was incredible
@@ScottFisherCFB for sure guys unfortunately I believe he got super hurt in the league a lot but still got respect him as a player

@@louieo.blevinsmusic4197 you’re welcome😂 Man I miss Hunter Henry as well
That RB room at Wisconsin for Corey Clements freshman year was insane. You had Melvin Gordon, James White, and Corey Clement all in the same backfield
Yeen lying just unimaginable...

Bro He got a few of us, i read your comment and thought I posted it
As an Arkansas fan, Collins is one of my favorite players of all time. Him paired with Jonathan Williams was absolutely insane.

As a Bama fan, I agree
Never forget that 4th and 25 vs ole miss
Alex Collins has passed as well damn this is a sad list
That Collins run against LSU in 2015 showed how good he was at Arkansas
Still playing for the Seahawks and got some tds so not bad at all

I remember playing high school football in Oregon. Tyner was a beast. Heard he scored 10 touchdowns in one game.
Cory Clemente was a pretty decent player ( he just in a scheme that didn’t fit him) but he played a huge part in the Eagles SB win, with 100 yards as a pass catching rb.
2013 RB class, 2014 WR class and 2017 QB classes all poor. Sadly, my wolverines missed on highly ranked guys in all 3. Typical of them. 😔

I actually did a Bama one like that!
Auburns RB room back in the day with Cadillac, Ronnie Brown & Brandon Jacobs.
There it is, Greg Bryant...thanks my man, you do good work 💯
Thank you!
Alex Collins was one of the best backs to come through Arkansas. And given who they've had back there, that says quite a bit.
Derrick Green had an odd story and he was one of those guys who's film you looked at and knew he wouldn't match his ranking.

Damn Alex Collin’s also passed away. It’s crazy how cursed this RB class was
But Alvin kamara, Derek Henry & Ezekiel Elliott thrived.. they were from that 2013 class lol
Thomas Tyner was a stud but he fell off that second year because he had a bad shoulder injury and took a medical retirement. Was good to see him come back, albeit briefly and in rival colors.
RIP Alex Collins 😔😢
Thomas Tyner actually had an awesome Oregon career…….. Kid was a stud.
Forgot all about Derrick Green every back that came in passed him up on the depth chart
Alex Collins was a fantastic runningback
R.I.P Altee🙏🏿
WOAH WOAH NOW ALEX COLLINS THATS MY BOY HES A VALID STARTING RB
He’s great
The lightskin guy standing next to Cory Clement at the beginning of the video is my dad 😂 that’s funny asf I’m gonna go show him this video

That’s why I’m never mad at these kids who enter the transfer portal. The get too much crap for doing that.
I've heard a quote from somebody saying no matter where you are if you're good they will find you
Kelvin Taylor dad is Fred Taylor the great RB that used to play for the jags
Id think it'd be super interesting to do one of these on the pass rusher busts. Guys who looked like Julius Peppers and ended up being Taco.
The only good running back in the running back class of 2013 was Henry
Ezekiel Elliott
Zeke Elliott
Alvin kamara
Derrick Henry
All part of this class too but weren't listed as RBs
What the heck really?
The first game I saw Keith Ford play at Oklahoma he threw a punch at someone on the sideline 🤣

Tarean Folston was an EXCELLENT runningback for ND
You should do a video about cam rising the Utah qb. He is a great man a great leader and a great qb
that boy Clement got a ring tho lol
kelvin taylor really hurt his draft stock not coming back his senior year.

I remember Keith Ford, he has fumble issues.
Corey Clement took the snap of the Philly special
Fun fact: Ezekiel Eillott came from this class
Your thumbnail has taj griffin in it( a different Oregon running back). I like your videos but it feels like you half ass your research sometimes.
That’s on google images then, I type in a players name and I find the best looking picture. Lol my bad
Keith Ford was something in high school.
Not mentioning Clement’s touchdown catch in the Super Bowl is criminal
I wouldn’t call kelvin Taylor a college bust

Corey Clement got a ring tho 🤷🏾♂️ & scored in the sb

Tyren Jones was supposed to be the man in college. Smh. It's a shame he didn't pan out the way he was supposed to.
corey clement won a super bowl and had a good game in it
You don't know what your talking about 😂😂 what about Derek Henry & Alvin kamara?? 2 of the best to ever do it..
