    I made this recipe this morning and added a bit of vanilla and cinnamon to the mix which really helped with the flavour. Then when it was out of the microwave I added a bit of peanut butter on top and a few seeds. Really nice!

    I was craving for a sweet healthy dessert..just saw this recipe 1/2 an hour ago and made it right away. I had all the ingredients accept maple syrup so I used brown sugar in replacement and oat flour.
    I also used all 3 combination of banana, milk & eggs. I turned out so well. Thanks so much! I am also following you on your FB page. 🥰

      Yeah I discovered your channel not long ago, now YT is sharing your old vids with me. I 💕 them. But then I saw this one. When this trend was going around, I was like ugg. One big pet peeve of mine is calling something by a name that belongs to something else and the thing being misnamed actually has a name.
      There is a thing called Baked Oatmeal. It's made in a bowl with oats. Not flour or "blendered" oats. Yes I meant "blendered" not blended. LOL.
      Cake on the other hand is an item of soft, sweet food made from a mixture of flour, oil or oil substitute, eggs, sugar, and other ingredients. Then baked.
      Like someone else said it tastes like cake 🎂 cause it is cake.
      Some shared this saying it's healthy...well... more or less you are eating cake.
      I suppose it's healthier than eating a cake made from AP flour. But Real actual baked oats would be better for you.
      The more you process food outside of your body, the higher the glycemic index is for that food item.
      So chalk it up to cake for breakfast just like pancakes. Less like oatmeal.

    A child’s dream come true! 😍
    I actually never minded cupcakes for breakfast as long as they were healthy and had eggs in it. Sugar is bad for starting a day because it’s simply bad unlike other energy boosting sweet flavored goodies to start the day with such as bananas, honey/jam sandwiches, homemade oatmeal cookies or bars pressed with nuts and dates. Kids really love that when at school because they’re hungry and when they’re so they will taste every bit of goodness you put in a snack there. One time my son came back from school and asked me to make him more sandwiches of soft cheese with tomatoes! 🤷🏻‍♀️ He thought was wow because he was HUNGRY! It is wow though.😁👌🏻

    I tried this recipe straight away, the chocolate variety. It was lovely, I have tried cooking both oven and microwave method. I prefer the oven cooked cake but my husband prefers the microwave version as its more stodgy and chewy but still great if you can't wait. Now I pulse the dry ingredients first and open the blender to release the pressure every once in a while, then add my wet ingredients. No more pressurized blender :)

    What happens if I put just the egg whites, instead of the whole egg? the consistency can change? or stays the same? Thanks for the video, very explicit, and it seems delicious!!!

      @Feelgoodfoodie  3 роки тому +1

      I haven't tried that yet, but someone left a comment on the website's recipe and said "one extra step I do is beat the egg whites separately and fold it in which makes them even cakier and fluffier"!

      Yes! The baked oats will keep well in an airtight container for 2 days at room temperature and up to a week in the fridge.
