Growing up in this town I didn't realize how beautiful it really is. Kinda took it all for granted, the ocean, the icebergs, the people, the fresh air, I could go on and on. I love this place, my heart will always be in Twillingate ❤ Thank you so so much for posting this video. ❤
I didn't grow up in Twillingate, but I definitely know that feeling about Newfoundland in general. So easy to take for granted, but if/when it hits you just how unique the place is, the appreciation kicks in. You are very lucky to be able to call Twillingate home.
I love how your videos can convey so much with stunning views and perfect music. I just returned from my first ever visit to Newfoundland. It may have only been 5 days long but I cannot wait to return
@@mark_royle_newfoundland stayed in St.Johns but did take several day tours to just get a feel for the area and I will on my next visit rent a car to explore further out . Just to throw out there that I am very much a prairie girl. The boat tour out of the harbour on a very windy day was exhilarating until the last 10 minutes 🤢🤢🤢, but I will still go out again.
That's one of my all time favorite shots. I was just trying to capture the boat and the ice berg. The whales literally photo bombed the shot 😆 I had to readjust on the fly to catch them!
Loved the whales, boats, houses, churches, people, cliffs and the ocean. You captured all the beauty of Newfoundland in just one video ! A great fly, Mark.
That was actually my old drone! My newer one is even more impressive so when I'm back in Twillingate this summer I'm going try to try to hit up some of these same spots and get different looks at them. I'm not counting on catching an enormous iceberg in the July heat this year... but I wasn't expecting to see it last year either so you never know...
Awesome video Mark, I think I caught my daughters vacation home a couple of times lol. Very relaxing to watch can't wait to get back there now. Have a great weekend
@@mark_royle_newfoundland not sure I sent it to you or if you've seen it here's a day fishing in Twillingate and getting close to the bergs lol ua-cam.com/video/dgkb8B46gjs/v-deo.htmlsi=uWo8J-Urdfxp9o1N
Your link got "held for review" by UA-cam and I only check the held comments every few days so I didn't see your video until right now. I'm going to check it out now da once 👍
@@mark_royle_newfoundland Not sure what I said to have it held , sometimes it's probably in the way we use our phrases here in Newfoundland , I'm old school LOL

One of the best places in Newfoundland...........this is the true Newfoundland. Great video. However next time you go to Twillingate try to get some different shots of Twillingate like near Back Harbour, Bayview, Little Harbour and Wild Cove. Much of the Video is concentrated in the same area.
Great video sir loved it. My wife and I along with couple of friends are in the video, we're the ones coming in the harbour on the sea doos and the boat lol. It was definitely a great day to be on the water, a lot of whales and of course that huge iceberg.
Any jobs or opportunities going out there for a 44 year old with a British Passport ? Is it difficult to claim welfare and what about jobs like selling , and is the law rather intricate ? Like. Are the laws based on English laws or how do you study Canadian laws and traditions and get involved with a community out there ? What about crossing the USA border in winter to escape the cold. Is that a viable thing ? I watched one documentary where some fishing villages were being abandoned because fish stocks were down .
More Twillingate here (with some commentary too): ua-cam.com/video/jNxFxH3xxXI/v-deo.html

Definitely took this place for granted as well. I’ve been in Alberta longer than I grew up in Twillingate. Twillingate will always be home. ❤
Love this , cant wait until July when we will be there for the first time .
Twillingate in July = heaven. Enjoy your trip!
Beautiful. Peaceful. There's something so very calming about being near the ocean. *sigh*🙂

Really enjoyed the video, thanks, my grandmother grew up just south of here in Loon Bay.
Another sweet video discovered today👍Thanks , it will be my final destination next May. 📸📽
Icebergs will wait for me 😉
Take care,

Twillingate, the northernmost place I'll visit.
You’ll love Twillingate, and I hope the ice bergs show up while you’re there!

Haha that is awesome! You guys were the stars of the show... well, only second to the whales maybe... What a coincidence 😆

Twillingate is one of the most beautiful communities in the Atlantic provinces. Back Harbour is my favourite area.
Agreed 100%
