I enjoyed your video…my only suggestion is to catch more fish! 😂I used to make cowboy coffee when camping light, but switched to microgrind and instant for ease of clean up.
One beauty of a day...but the blackflies really get to me, and it seems they have been particularly bad this year here in Nova Scotia too. Yup, I'd say you're eating well!! Some pretty great living there! Awesome!!
Outriggers for the canoe and a thermacell for the bugs you can get them at Canadian Tire personal thermacell that you can clip onto your jacket your upper pocket or your waist and seems to work pretty good love your videos keep up the good work man
Great video bud. Those blackflies is something else in nfld. But Labrador is alot worst thou. They take some of the fun out of outdoors activities don,t they.
Fishing From a canoe, takes practice. But you have to get your body in tune with the motions of your canoe. Once your comfortable with that you won't even consider tipping
I always fish from my Riot Quest kayak or my Swift Cruiser 12.6. Both are very stable. I prefer to use the Riot in rocky water. It's polypropylene. Whereas, the Swift is made of Kevlar.
Another great one Monty , those black flies drive me nuts, that is a sweet cat you have there (pun intended 😀 ) Have to be honest I've never heard of that pie 🥧 but will definitely be trying it in the future. I've never fished in a Kayak, so canoe would be preferred for me I think, now I have a 17 foot Scanoe so little more stable than a canoe (I think lol) .
@@tuckerandi yes I think I got too much top weight for a canoe lol. You’ll LOVE the pie kinda like a tart custard. Throw a bit cream on it and you got something. I mentioned it to Rob a few years ago and he thoight I was telling lies lol.
I will certainly give that pie a try.
Another great one Monty. I’m actually watching this as I’m sitting on the wharf and drinking a coffee in Arklow, Ireland. No flies here!
Thanks and have a pint for me buddy!
Well done, really enjoyed your video. Been gone from home most of my life so thank you for your time.
Thanks and I hope you get back to the rock soon! Cheers
You will not regret it! Delicious and great conversation maker. Thanks for watching!

Thanks! The flies were as bad as Id ever seen them. Thankfully the wind picked up a bit in the afternoon so I was able to get the “boil up” in.
Thanks so much Monty! Always love the videos!
Thank YOU Eric for watching! All the best
Have a great weekend

Good idea Randy!
Going to have to give the pie a try!!
You wont regret it. Add some heavy cream as a topping! It has a tart custard flavour. Delicious!

Thanks much! Ill definitely check that out.
You shout check out the inflatable out riggers make your canoe very stable for fishing
Thanks for the tip! Might give that a try OR keep the canoe for portaging and get myself a small aluminum boat for the bigger ponds.

Trout may not be in the ponds yet. Try rivers.
Thanks
You need a different Canoe so you can enjoy the experience. Before you end up in the water.
Haha. I think that may be inevitable but I do float well!
