Just got my lenses yesterday and I'm a new wearer. I spent 3 hours trying to get then in and I wasn't able to. My wife helped me today and I finally got them in. I ordered 300 bucks stand and I pray it helps. I just do not see me being able to put them in myself. It is way more difficult than I thought

@@RamiAq it just takes a few days to get it. You probably won't even need that expensive stand. The first few days I had my lenses it took me about 20-30 minutes and a dozen vials of sodium chloride vials. Now I get them after the first attempt using only the plunger. Just don't get discouraged. You'll love having the lenses and not having to wear glasses. I forget I have them on sometimes😁

Omg, I’ve been wearing my sceral contacts for months and I’ve never inserted mine like this. My doctor made me buy a kit. I don’t know the specific names for everything, but they gave me a stand for my inserter as well as a green light that I can stick in the bottom of the inserter. That has helped makes this process easier. Everything is on the counter as I bend over.

I’m getting my first pair of scleral lenses after suffering with KC for 30 years! When I was 7 I would struggle to read the chalkboard at school (yea I’m chalkboard old lol) I kept being told I had an astigmatism but never knew that, that’s a symptom not the diagnosis! Glasses made my head ach because the powers were so different between my L & R eye, soft lens made me see better up close but everything was blurry from afar, worse than without. It wasn’t until seeing if I was a candidate for lasik that I found out about KC. Monday I was able to see a w/ 20/20 vision in my trials for the first time IN MY LIFE and it was AMAZING 😭 I literally cried when we had to take them out! I’ve only seen that clearly in my dreams! I cannot WAIT until my script comes in!!! Oh and your video was great, I’ll be practicing inserting and taking out my lenses with you! 😁

I got one scleral lens Tuesday for scarring due to a corneal ulcer (long, immaterial story). Today is Thursday, I'm mostly reviewing things like how much conditioning solution to use and what not.
Your idea to cut off the bottom of the inserter is brilliant. Suction isn't needed and avoiding it is an extra step. When I saw the light, well, I saw the light! :-) I think I'll trim the inserter tomorrow.

I received my scleral lens (right eye) on 03/15/22.
Viewing your GREAT tutorial before my recent visit, was VERY helpful.
Being new to sclerals, I'm having a little difficulty with the removal. However, this too, shall pass.
    THANKS AGAIN JACOB.

I've been wearing glasses for what seems my life now, I've been considering these Scleral Lenses for some time now. I read many articles about it, but most of them are infomercials... so I wanted some personal nonprofit opinion, do you guys have a 100% vision or it's like "a better-than-other-options" solution. especially those hollows and shades, do these guys go away completely or what?

If your eyesight is -10 (OS/OD) or above, a good tip is to make sure your Optometrist at least tries to file your visit for the sclera contacts under MEDICAL ! This saved me on the cost of getting these very expensive lenses !!!

I took them out at the doctors office and tomorrow will be the first time I try to get them in without the help of the contact lense specialist. Huge thank you, I was about to give up on my scleral lens because of the discomfort. It's been a year since I've worn them preferring my glasses instead but I was recently diagnosed with vestibular dysfunction (dizziness and imbalance) and finally realized it was due to worsening Keratoconus and needed to try the lens again.
