UYGHUR Dance-Pool in Yarkant, Xinjiang - Real Uyghur life | S2, EP40

- This Episode is about a city called Shache, or Yarkant in Uyghur language, in the province of Xinjiang. After finishing our roadtrip in Tibet, we finally reached Shache after the crazy adventures on national highway G219. Yarkant is a predominantly Ughyur city with a real middle eastern vibe. We went to the night market and enjoyed some great food followed by a dancing pool with a local dance.
We eventually just joined them dancing.
Join me on this Uyghur adventure in Xinjiang Province :)

The most important thing I learned from the life in the US is: Don't always believe what the media tell you. Instead, you've got to see it with your own eyes.

Thank you Yan for making these videos. Xinjiang is on the news here only with a very specific narrative, and you show that Xinjiang is a lively place with many lovely people. I love how normal it looks. Thank you again for broadening my understanding of China.

Xinjiang is a secular and open place where men and women are equal. Women don't wear headscarves. You can still see many Uighur women driving taxis in Xinjiang.

Think about this - the people that promote the "Xinjiang genocide" idea, are the same people the accept and support what is going on in Gaza right now... Do you still wonder why there is virtually no Muslim nation standing with the western nations on their Xinjiang rhetorics?
They only care about Xinjiang peoples life rather than Gaza peoples life. What a irony😢

3:40 that big bowl of sheep's lungs, heart, liver stomach is what most westerners would call "yuk" however that is what makes Scotlands dish Haggis, it's good 😋
I was going to mention that the stuffed stomach looks like a Scottish Haggis, maybe even the same ingredients.
@@Jayapullani hello Jay, it's actually quite nice and my family back in Scotland were telling me it's now so popular that it's sold in the local fish n chip shops.

this episode might be controversial. a lot of people in the west absolutely refuse to believe that life can be normal and happy in xinjiang
The West only believes what they think Xinjiang is
surely, just totally strange to found almost none of ladies there wear a headscarf veil (hijab)
There is nothing strange about if you know more of the local culture. It's not in Uyghur's custom for women to wear hijabs. You will also find that women are allowed to work in shops, restaurants, and street vendors. @@ramaorama119
@@ramaorama119 not all uyghurs are muslim and not all sects of islam require women to wear hijabs. actually hijabs are mostly unique to countries like saudi arabia and iran which have specific cultural norms that require hijabs
The blatant lies about Xinjiang is what is really contravercial and obscene, but I appreciate your point.

Awesome video, It's so nice putting faces to people I thought I only heard about. They were so generous it causes me to wonder how many Uyghur's/Turks I've encountered unknowingly.
