cannot wait til I can get my genny coupe. your vids have made me want it even more
It's a lot of fun bro.
Your Genny looks good bro! I have the same year rspec but grey. Much respect for posting good vids with cheap and lightweight mods. That's why I named her Sheila. Cheap but exotic.
Thanks for the video, been looking for something informative like this. Cheers!
Came out really nice ! im defiantly trying to do this to my veloster just decided to see how it looked on a gen
great vid man. keep up the good content.
Thanks man appreciate it
I'm planning on getting a Genesis here soon. I may do this to it. But ARK custom front bumper makes the car a whole another looking beast. My pick that up and just replace it.
You can remove that top piece w/o cutting it. It's held on by a few screws and a bunch of clips.
Hey, looking to do this to mine and am wondering what you did with all the tabs and how the mesh fits over them? At the end of the vid you can't really see them, did they just fit through the mesh so the mesh was sitting flush with the edges of the bumper?
If you remove all visible perimeter screws for the upper and lower stock grill sections, just pop the tabs and they come out. No cutting. I just installed the M&S grill on my 2015.
Looks good man 👍🏻
can u tank the middle out and just make it one be mess?
definitely doing this to mine!
Nice i will for sure be watching when you make the video. Good luck
what? adding chicken wire? ffs
Looks really nice.
What front lip is that , looks sick
I'm looking for a new bumper for my 2010 Genesis cause I HATE the grill so I'm not sure if it has the same screws but thanks anyway :)
Looks lit 💸
If this was the 2.0T this car would be my dream car. What a sexy car though, awesome work
why do you like the slower version more?
My only guess would be already comes with the turbo, so it would be easier to make boost for not as much money?
Because it's much easier to mod the 2.0T and get more power than the 3.8. Even tho it has less power stock I'd much rather have it cause you can upgrade the turbo, get full boltons and a tune and have 400 whp. that would crush the 3.8. Also I just love turbo cars in general :)
I think I'm going this today . How's it holding up?
Yo this is awesome
Aye bro a little late but where did you but the lip from 🔥
what was the measurement of the mesh material?
Great video! Have you ever thought of trying to replace the fake mesh next to the fog lights? I also have a bk2 and I'll definitely be doing this soon 😝
I haven't thought about it but I will look and see if I could do it
TheJacob910 i have ! definitely needs to be done !
You got the grill at Home Depot you said?
Had you tried doing the whole thing
can you list the materials that you use for the bumper the paint and everything please
I just put in the description but here you go.
-1 can rust oleum Universal Black gloss. 4 coats
- Black plastic poultry Netting (Home depot sku# 225980)
- Hot glue gun ( if needed)
- Monster energy drink
Have you had any issues with the wire that you added to the grill?
Dirty Haxor the only issue I had is the one side I didn't secure properly started to get loose but that's an easy fix. Ito been 6 months and it still looks good
Hey. for the center piece what grit sandpaper did u use and did u use any primer or gloss
Sarfaraz Mohammed 1000 grit. I didn't primar before spray painting it but looking back on it I probably should have
ussually when you are working with plastic and want a smooth finish like his you need to first sand it down with 200 grit to get a nice even finish, then you have to sand it with 1500 to prep for primer, apply your primer, sand again with the 1500 (just enough to scuff the high areas out and rough up the finish a little bit) wipe clean with a moistened towel or cloth. let dry, spray your color paint (gentle sanding for each layer) and finish with the last coat. can wet sand each layer of color and it will come out smooth and glossy.
Where did you get the hex stuff at lowes
Justin Payne home depot but Lowe's also has some
where did you get the red inserts next to the front badge that replaced the chrome? and what wheels are those?? look sexy
Kyle that's is just red spray paint bro, I have a video up on how to do it.. and those are stock wheels just plasti dipped white :)
those grill inserts are stock. as are the rims. search 2013 stock rims for them. and you can easily paint the grill inserts
grit of sandpaper do you use to sand the bumper??
I sprayed painted it first let it dry then wet sand with 1000 grit. Probably not the right way to do it but it came out pretty clean
Love your work bro. Been deciding from either buying an FRS or A Genesis Coupe, got any suggestion? Really kinda pushing towards FRS for the looks, but not so much for doing my research about having to do so much mods. Loving the Gensis in terms of Interior, Space, Height, Looks and Speed. Just a little worried about the snow? Any Suggestion thank you so much. you got yoursel a subscriber if you help me out. Would love to get some input, sry long msg.
from what i read the GC doesn't have any problem in the snow just as long as you have a solid set of winter tires and your ESC is easiest to see in the snow when the back end slips out. It will apply braking to the wheel in the direction of the skid in the back when it slides, but if you are planning to Lower any car you get i would probably suggest getting bags to avoid deep snow.
for me the brz would have been perfect if it had more HP, i test drove both and liked it but as soon as i test drove the Gen i knew right away that it had what was looking for. Also at the time i felt like i was seeing Brz/Frs everywhere and i just wanted to stand out. At the end of the day buy a car that you get excited to see everytime you walk out of your house and you will be fine. GoodLuck
+Andrew Huerta thanks a lot man, i test drived the GC and i fell in love with it right away. so probably im gonna go with that, but still wana test drive the FRS to what's it like. tnx a lot
+Andrew Huerta thanks bro, ill keep that in mind love your work keep it up. definitely have a set mind to get the GC
I gotta ask... Where'd you get the mesh from dude? Somewhere like a hardware store or did you make it yourself?
Black plastic netting from Home Depot, my store didn't have much of a selection so I just picked one a spray painted it black
Nice! Thanks for the tip. Love my coupe but that derpy fish gill lower half has got to go.
I cant find a store that carry's a mesh like this ? can anyone help ??
awesome
what lip is that and where did you get it
M&S Carart lip, I got it from importshack
Also , is the rust oleum necessary ?
Wilfred it's still holding strong, the rust oleum was just to make it match that glossy look. It looked a little dull with out it
My bar is a matte black , not glossy like your's . So you think it'll look alright ? Thanks for the quick replay bro , just bought the netting at Home Depot few minutes ago
Wilfred matte isn't bad, I personally wanted mine to have a gloss look but if I didn't have spray it would be matte all day
Wilfred let me kno how it turns out
Took my about 4 hours , but looks pretty good .
