I BOUGHT A PS4 FROM A PAWNSHOP AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER SPILT SODA OR SOMETHING ON IT IT WORKS ITS JUST THE SHARE BUTTON AND THE BOTTOM LEFT BIG BUTTON AND THAT'S ANNOYING BECAUSE I HAVE TO USE THAT BUTTON I REALLY DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT ALL APART AS I SEE HOW ITS DONE JUST TO CLEAN THAT BIG ASS BUTTON.

@@thatbirdguy9845 3 months too late, but yeah, you need an electronic screwdriver set or a shitty ratchet precision screwdriver like mine. Point is that the 4 grooves of the Philips format are less than half a milimeter OR 1/3 of 1/16th of an inch in thickness.
Just tiny as hell, so a larger screwdriver will theoretically work because the opening of the grooves is > 0.5 mm (on top), but that's a shallow contact depth and so your screwdriver prolly just blunted the grooves at the top section and then only very fine screwdrivers can get these remaining screws out.

I was recommended this video and it helped a lot!
I spilled some milk tea on my controller and it got slightly sticky so I ended up following this video and managed to stress free dismantle, clean, and restore my ps4 controller.
I then went and fixed my older controller that was ruined and forgotten after I spilled beer on it and managed to restore it even better than my current one after some deep cleaning. I didnt know how to remove the L1 button but after taking your advice, I just tried harder and it popped out lol. Got a good cleaning done and the only issues I had was I dropped a screw onto a carpet floor when putting things back together. Now I have two fully functioning controllers instead of one.
    Thanks so much! :D

Thanks, I had a loose USB port and your video helped me get the controller open without damaging it. Then all I needed to do is gently squeeze the metal frame of the port using parallel pliers to give it a snug fit again. Works great!. I had stepped on the charging cable while it was in the controller and the plug managed to pry the metal plates of the port wider and the plug wouldn't stay in, this solved that! Now I have a very nice click when I put the plug in and it firmly holds the plug in place.

I had a broken trigger that just kept getting worse and worse until it wouldn’t pop back up. I’ve been borrowing a controller for awhile now but I’m moving out and needed my own. I bought a new one but decided to customize it. I put custom buttons and different plates on it to give some cool style and I really needed this video. Just showing how you pulled the triggers off saved my life because I used the one from my new controller on my old broken one
