I play VR on PlayStation (first on the PSVR1, and then on the VR2) and it's been a great streamlined experience for me, and probably the most affordable option for high-end VR gameplay. Something to consider, though the headset can be expensive, most VR games are surprisingly affordable, with some of the best not being more than thirty dollars, so the long-term cost does get minimized.
Yeah, people gripe about combat in NMS, but in VR it is totally different. It's actually pretty darn fun! :) I can't wait to get a headset. I've only gotten to play a few times on a friend's. I had a friggin' moment the first time I transitioned from a planet into space and I was able to just look over and watch the atmosphere line pass by, then the planet fall away... it was so "real" dang.
I concur 😅 I remember the first time I slowly approached a planet, only to watch this "small" planet fill my vision and stretch out to the horizon. This game is wild in VR. I hope you get your headset soon.

But I must admit, ever since the Worlds update, the game is markedly more difficult. I play with all the difficulty options cranked, and I've actually died more times in the last few weeks than I've died in the hundreds of hours I've played before the update. Though I still wish I could make it more challenging. I may have to start a permadeath run lol Thank you for kind words.

Each season would be a campaign devoted to a planet. Same bugs, different backdrop. NMS has basically taken that same formula and ran with it; an inconceivable number of planets for my friends and I to run around and find things to shoot. As an aside to the comments in the video about the flamethrower, there technically is one for the multi tool, but it was only available for like, a day several years ago, as it was in the game unintentionally. A rare few players have them though. You can technically mod it into your game on PC, but on consoles, players who have them are rare. I have used the expeditions to copy mine so i have a couple, but as i learned they can't be traded sadly
I agree with you entirely. We technically already fight the other alien species in the game in aerial combat; if HG took that to the next level, and allowed to us raid pirate settlements on planets or escort and protect moving convoy from raiders, that would be so cool!
Love it 🍻 VR is the only way to play. A few buds and I made a stronghold to fight off sentinel attacks a few years back but they kept spawning under or clipping through everything. I wonder if that's been fixed by now
Absolutely, VR is the best hands down. Funny enough, I use to do the same thing as well: build fortresses (especially on aggressive planets) and fight off the waves like it's Starship Troopers. Bro, with aim that good, you should invest in a multi tool weapon mod that deals more damage per shot than that blaster mod. I bet you would slay with a shotgun mod.
That's a good point. I usually lean more towards the Pulse Spitter because it feels like a proper assault rifle. I should attempt another shotgun build. It's the reload time that kill me with the shotgun, but with the right mods, I could make a proper Doom build.

I do agree with you. I play the game on challenging (which seems to have become more difficult since the last update), but even then, I would love combat in the game to be grueling. I do enjoy fighting the Sentinels on the dissonance planets, because they don't stop after five waves; they don't stop at all. Now, the latest rumors from the recent datamining have revealed a potential "purple" star system that may have completely new flora, fauna and enemies, so fingers crossed. @@YokaiSpardaHunter yeah i had the same problem, but with the help of the continuous support and updates of some ‘connect wireless to pc programs’ the connection got better and better. Also tuning down your graphic wish list helped a lot. Now the game is far better optimized for the quest and ps5 and it is a joy to play, for me truly it is a dream came true. Landing on planets and exploring, examining stuff, getting in my ship, landing on a darelict freighter and have some tension in my game, after looting a bit i fly to a space station for some beers and talking to the locals. Life is good
i have the materializer thingy installed on my capital ship but I cannot call my exocrafts even if the capital ship is in the system... do I have to make one on the land too in every star system I want to call my exocrafts to?? please guide..
no all you have to do is make each exocraft once (it doesnt matter what system or planet, it just has to be once) if it does not work then i would try deconstructing the room on your capital ship and building it again or build every exocraft summon station again once and maybe it will work then. Hope that helps 👍
@@furqanbangash You can't delete them either... go dig a hole in the ground somewhere at a base you don't care about (or build an awesome garage for them like I did) and build one of each type and just leave them there. Now, once you have that orbital materializer - you can call them anywhere in the universe from your Freighter in-system.

Totally? Not really. If you clear all the waves of the Sentinels, then they will be disabled on the planet until you reload the game from a restore point. If you're looking for a way to clear them quickly, you can go straight to a Sentinel Pillar and disable their forces directly, but that'll only last only you reload the game. The dissonance Sentinels never stop attacking; they'll continue spawning regardless of how many waves you endure. Thank you for watching.
It's just the multi tool, been in the game since launch with new models of multi tool added over the years. Like the guy said, you can add weapon tech modules to make it into different types of guns. Also playing in VR definitely makes them seem more gun-like

Onward, asgarts wrath 2 and assasins creed on the other hand, i will play roomscale (on a 2x2 meter gummy mat to keep my bearings and connection to where i am)

I have a large rug as well and a fan blowing on me constantly that always allows me to maintain that spatial awareness; can't afford to be running into a wall lmao

Having trouble viewing the weapon HUD in VR? Ultimately when I try to reload the weapon manually the HUD remains blank for 10 seconds

Look for airless planets, most of them are barren, little to no buildings as well.

It's an airless planet. They're ugly, but near limitless jetpacking due to low gravity. There's much prettier out there.
