EcoFlow River 2 South Africa : Load Shedding Basics

A review of the EcoFlow River 2 From a South Africa Standpoint and if the device is work the Price for the device.
Will it run what you need and if so how long and what does it bring to the market ?

Ecoflow does recommend charging the device via a surge protector for the River 1
However this not stated for the River 2 at the time of making this video.
Best practices is always to ensure you have surge protectors where ever possible

Also heard that it should be disconnected from AC at the time that the power is restored when load shedding is done. Is this correct?

I heard that leaving it permanently plugged into ac and then using the ecoflow river 2 to power your devices will result in the batteries having to be replaced sooner. Is this true?

The Ecoflow Bypass the batteries once fully charged so you run of the mains.
Other devices drains the batteries then then run off the mains.
Ecoflow battery's are not replaceable, hence why they offer a up to 10 years life span , but with loadshedding and 3 schedules a day.
I think it will last close to 4-5 years and that too only losing 20% capacity
