I have watched this video a hundred times already today......simply amazing. Sadly we will never see pure emotional talent like this in today's society...This is music at its finest.
I've loved the Floyd ever since i got Obscured by clouds& Saucerful full of secrets for christmas.I was about 14, and the Floyd is still light years ahead of any band i've heard lately.
im going to the wall rogers waters show in denver colorado just got my tickets in the mail im 29 and i never tought i have a chance to listen to pink floyd im soo glad
Thank you Pink Floyd for touch my soul and change my thoughts, my lifestyle, oohh yeah, music can change people, even more if the music is from pink floyd..
Yeahhhhhhh!! I'm taking my son to see Roger Waters in Toronto in September!! His first time - my third! "I've got a grand piano to prop up my mortal remains..."
Not even fit to wipe Davids arse. He has no tone and no feeling in his playing. He said that he could simplify Davids playing of songs, what he really meant was he had no chance in hell of playing it like David.
@IllusionalGuitarist You are gonna love it mate. I was in London on 12th may 2011,the night big Dave appeared at the top of the wall during comfortably numb. Best thing I have ever seen in my entire life.I would love to see that again.Hopefully when he's finished touring the dvd will come out.Amazing show, out of this world..........thank you Roger : )
Rumor has it that David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin made Waters go back and write one more song, when The Wall was about done and even Waters thought it was perfect. This was the song he came up with. One of the best Floyd songs in their libraray.
danm i cant wait i got tickets for stl and kanas city but i am going to have to wait about 4 months before the big show 10/29/10 and 10/30/10 and its still may .well all i can say is can someone wake me up when it is time to go to the show.....
how can you laugh and sing at the same time?? well dunno man this song in particular has marked a dark age in my life so i can't laugh it up. glad you can though
***** I am a little antisocial by nature so whenever I feel that little loneliness is because I chose that path, not because someone imposed it and laugh a little bit because I feel many people don´t know how to gain something positive from some time alone
Este som mexe fundo, com emoções e pensamentos. Dos melhores sons que já ouvi, sem dúvida. Quando acaba até penso 'já posso morrer em paz'. ahahahah The Pink Floyd Sound para sempre.
Just wanna say, awesome song, along with all the others. And in case anyone's wondering, what Waters is shouting at the beginning is "Shut Up! Oi! I've got a little black book with me poems in!"
It's an English chap named Snowy White, and, yes, before the camera pans to behind the Wall to where we can see the musicians, I was thinking it was possibly Clapton. White was a touring guitarist with Pink Floyd in the later years and has worked off and on with Waters through the years. He was also in Thin Lizzy for a couple of years.......
i feel such a bittersweet pessimism and disillusionment when listening to this song, it just gives me this feeling like everything's gone and all you have left to comfort you is your wry humour and "dark sarcasm"
Weeell... the early stuff (The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn) is Syd Barrett and Gilmour. After that comes Meddle, Atom Heart Mother and all those Water/Gilmour albums. Then comes Dark side, wich is almost only Waters. Wish You Were Here is Waters/Gilmour with Roger in front. Then it's only Roger until he leaves after "The Final Cut", wich leads to "The Division Bell" written by Gilmour and the rest of the group :)
yes david wrote the music and waters the lyrics if u look it up you can see 2 different versions of comfortably numb because waters changed the orginal
@MrVagaara that's the idea. It's not Roger who is alone. He is in character, it's Pink who is all alone in his hotel room. This has nothing to do with anyones ego.
A large part of the concept behind "The Wall" is about Roger Water's losing his father in World War 2. (but almost everybody probably knows that already)
@freethetech yep its a g8 song, one of my fave tracks from the wall, ever tried addin your own lyrics to the binder and see what 'you' come up with....:)
It's been so many years, but I still get goosebumps every single fucking time.
Elgar T.W. Same here!
Elgar T.W. Still remember sitting stoned right oot ma nut, excitedly waiting on it coming on.
I have watched this video a hundred times already today......simply amazing. Sadly we will never see pure emotional talent like this in today's society...This is music at its finest.
magic brings a tear of joy to my eye when I hear this tune. its the best
This is some of the most amazing live Rock & Roll footage that I've ever seen in all my days.
Just a simple, wonderful piece of music......the despair and melancholy that he sings with is almost palpable. Never get sick of this........
I've loved the Floyd ever since i got Obscured by clouds& Saucerful full of secrets for christmas.I was about 14, and the Floyd is still light years ahead of any band i've heard lately.
The whole song is magic! I cry whenever I hear it, but I can't resist it, it's too beautiful.
im going to the wall rogers waters show in denver colorado just got my tickets in the mail im 29 and i never tought i have a chance to listen to pink floyd im soo glad
Guys, hes voice is just perfect for that kind of song...And, dont forget that he is like 60+.. I love his voice..
"I've got a strong urge to fly... but I got nowhere to fly to." Well, that pretty much sums up my life. Great song by a great artist!
The best songwriter ever....I love you Roger!!!!
I LOVE this scene from Roger Water's The Wall Live In Berlin. Just excellent.
This is my favorite song from The Wall. I listen to it like 10 times a day. I know the lyrics by heart :)
Note how the musicians still play with incredible emotion even when they know the audience cannot see them. says something for the performers.
Thank you Pink Floyd for touch my soul and change my thoughts, my lifestyle, oohh yeah, music can change people, even more if the music is from pink floyd..
i hope he plays this beautifull song with that solo when i go see The Wall in San Jose CA. Greatest songwriter Of All Time.
I love how into it Roger Waters gets. His facial expressions are boss. Sends shivers down my spine.
CoveTheMsiMaster, that's no regular English man... That's Roger Waters!!! The brains behind "The Wall". A genuis, nothing less...
I love both, Gilmour, & Water's. I wish people would stop putting either one down, they're both great artists.
I love this song, and this video

OMG Snowy White's solo is just flippin amazing
Not even fit to wipe Davids arse. He has no tone and no feeling in his playing. He said that he could simplify Davids playing of songs, what he really meant was he had no chance in hell of playing it like David.
ehh - apples and oranges my friend. Snowy serves up a pretty sweet apple...

You are so wrong if you thinks it's a competition. Just enjoy it.
Amazing performance!
ROGER MADE MADE MY EYES WATER. beautiful.
wow..so amazing...
i would love 2 have seen pink floyd
in concert
I saw Roger in St Louis 10/29/2010!!! My dream!!! O M G
sounds awesome to me! I think the pain in the voice is meant to deliver the crying out that "nobody's home". Spot on performance, man.
This is one of the very best scenes/songs from this concert.
" ... got amazing powers of observation ... " One of Roger's best lyrics -- and another example of his "List-o-Mania"!
How come this has been watched 85,295 times and only 235 ratings? Come on people ,where's the respect he deserves? 5 out of 5
Uma das melhores musicas desta banda fantastica! Pink Floyd é eterno!
@IllusionalGuitarist You are gonna love it mate. I was in London on 12th may 2011,the night big Dave appeared at the top of the wall during comfortably numb. great guitar solo...awesome!!! the tone is also amazing. thanx for posting.
I love the little bit between "...when I pick up the phone" and "There's still nobody home" with the mocking voice, "surprise, surprise, surprise".
I teared up during this. I've never done that before.
Man, I can't wait for the 2010 WALL TOUR!! Got my pre-sale tix for the Tampa show!!!!!! WOOoo HOOoo!!
if i ever took my own life it would be to this song on repeat
Rumor has it that David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin made Waters go back and write one more song, when The Wall was about done and even Waters thought it was perfect. This was the song he came up with. One of the best Floyd songs in their libraray.
Thank's to this man.
When I try to get through...on the telephone to youu...there'll be nobody home...thanks Pink Floyd

Just wanna say, awesome song, along with all the others.
And in case anyone's wondering, what Waters is shouting at the beginning is "Shut Up! Oi! I've got a little black book with me poems in!"
When I'm a good dog they sometimes throw me a bone in. Beautiful.
Please someone, invent the time machine. I must see this...God how wonderful it would've been to be there. Ahhhhh. He's so incredible..
Thank you, I already knew when "the wall" came down though.
the music is wonderful, but in the first time that i see this song with Snowy White's guitar solo, i really cry, its amazing!
Freakin' fantastic.
it's the best version of Nobody Home. Drum and the guitar are added to original version. The guitar solo matches perfectly to the song.
That was freakin awesome !
It's an English chap named Snowy White, and, yes, before the camera pans to behind the Wall to where we can see the musicians, I was thinking it was possibly Clapton. i feel such a bittersweet pessimism and disillusionment when listening to this song, it just gives me this feeling like everything's gone and all you have left to comfort you is your wry humour and "dark sarcasm"
I love you Roger : )
very good snowy white solo!
@TheElusiveBirdMan If its any consolation I think the solo adds to this Classic and very emotional track!!!
I love that part
wonderful

Why did Roger put on such a colossal show? 'CAUSE HE CAN!!!
I love the drums and the guitar solo, why weren't they in the studio recording!?

@PLuTTzor THAT'S SO RIGHT,I'M GLAD YOU BROUGHT THAT UP.
@MrChasmaniac
Saw it in Chicago, greatest night of my life.
de los mejores grupos que existen.
@MrVagaara that's the idea. It's not Roger who is alone. He is in character, it's Pink who is all alone in his hotel room. This has nothing to do with anyones ego.
Szeretem őket..............is!!!!
this is great, love the way the camera pans right over the wall from roger right down onto snowy. Why does roger always wear those earphones ?
3 days until this concert, i am so fucking excited
A large part of the concept behind "The Wall" is about Roger Water's losing his father in World War 2. (but almost everybody probably knows that already)
I love you, Roger Waters.
that solo!
@freethetech yep its a g8 song, one of my fave tracks from the wall, ever tried addin your own lyrics to the binder and see what 'you' come up with....:)
Not a Pink Floyd concert, it is Roger Waters' concert in Berlin.
See you on the 12th may Roger. Counting down the seconds : )
