And only wish they never had to, but at least there music will live on. After we're all gone. Only hope the new generations can appreciate it as we do.

Thank you for your video! Pink Floyd is my favourite group! And “The Wall” is one of my favourite albums! Pink Floyd is my youth and my life! Hallo from Russia, Rostov-on-Don.
My favorite images from "The Wall" would have to be, without question, the "lock-stepping" hammers from this very song. Don't know what it is about them exactly that I enjoy so much, but I can never get enough of them. The raw power and apparent unstopp-ablility (is that a word? if not, pls submit to Webster lol) of those hammers is entrancing. Beautiful! :)
Agreed :) Beautiful and terrible at the same time. The image is meant to convey the same emotion as the fascist symbols. The imagery terrifying and I hope we don’t have another totalitarian regime that rises again

thanks man, i love these edits of yours since a. i havent seen all of the nassau show and b. im getting impatient waiting for divided we fall to finish downloading.
So is he lipsyncing the megaphone parts? I know the the entire performance isn't lipsync because there are a couple of small differences from the studio version.
@wickedcurve This was filmed at Earl's Court in London during the wall tour in 1980 - most likely as part of the test footage they shot back when they intended the "Wall" movie to be a combination of live concert footage and live-action drama. I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure that's where this is from and not the American or German performances that came later. (It was never intended for release).
the first disc was amazing too. in the flesh, all three parts of another brick in the wall, the happiest days of our lives, one of my turns, young lust, empty spaces, goodbye blue sky... oh who am i kidding? THE ENTIRE WALL ALBUM WAS AMAZING!!!
@CelticMedea Yes you are right, Roger Waters suggested firing Richard Wright and Nick Mason for being "lazy creatively" but only ended up firing Rick Wright. Wright was credited as a "Guest Appearance" for this concert.
they made some of the animation during the live shows to make it more interesting, and they added the animation from the live shows to the movei in 1983.
Wooooot! I've NEVER seen this before!! ^_^ Omg I've been wathcing too many Roger Waters solo tours of this. When I saw Dave Gilmour I thought.... "OH YEAH IT'S PINK FLOYD!!"
The chant you are referring to is "Hammer, Floyd", which carries over from "Run Like Hell". The chant reflects the current indecision in the crowd as to which Pink they prefer (non-fascist or fascist). Waiting For the Worms follows with such increased force and determination to make Pink's "wall-nation" pure that it serves to finally and completely galvanize the crowd resulting in the unified "Hammer, Hammer" chant that picks up at the end. Hope that insight helps. :)
@Rush1013 Looking back, I realize both you and Rush1013 are correct. For such, I apologize. I spoke too soon. You provide sound logic and I henceforth retract my incorrect assumption. In retrospect, it didn't really make sense to judge the production of a show put on 30 years ago based on one put on a few weeks ago. I did realize it was the only part that dubbed. I was actually impressed how he did everything (even all the voices in the Trial!). Thanks for correcting me though.
I cannot believe I will never see the four of them Live again. Just hope they give us the pleasure of reuniting. A tour making the entire Wall, DSoftheMoon and WishYWHere Albums would be enough to remember for a lifetime and more. Even the nowadays musicians should agree they have never made nor will make something greater nor more moving than these four lads. The Beatles light my heart, but Pink Floyd holds the Dark Side.

@SuperSovietBear the wall wasn't filmed until 1982 this video was in 1980
This is the live version. It was performed between the album and the movie
That Roger Waters has a penchant for stage craft. Sort of like Peter Gabrielle in his Genesis days, minus the exotic wild costumes
this is one of the best songs ever
this is the best music i ever heard from pink floyd.
this live show was recorded from 1980 to 1981 right before making the film in 1982
I dont know why the band never digitally re-mastered this film, re-release it on dvd
As much as I love Waters you can blame him.
I always thought Roger was yelling through a megaphone in this song...but I guess it was just a microphone effect lol
Thought so too, but the megaphone audio is taken straight from the album.
