I would not think he's 90 years old. I would think he's in his 70s. Most people would lose their head to Dementia or Alzheimer's after 80. He's doing awfully well physically and mentally for his age! He might be able to live to be 110 if he's doing this well at 90!

This is what i wanted to see. Instead the first human spaceflight they were laser focused on a m&m. You can experience weightlessness on a plane.

Yeah, here you have the PRIVILEGE, and HONOR to be among the very few humans in HISTORY to view our planet from space, and these people are more excited about doing somersaults. Meanwhile, Mr. Shatner is GLUED to the window. Humbled to the core.
Then, they make it back, and congratulate each other on their zero-g selfies, while popping open champagne. Meanwhile, Mr. Shatner barely has the words. I’m sure he wanted to use the word, “awesome”, in its original, and intended definition. But, I’m sure his traveling companions wore out its meaning, already. “Dude, did you see that totally awesome back flip I did in zero-g?” “Yeah, bro! It was awesome! I totally took an awesome pic of it while I threw Skittles in the air!” “Awesome!” “AWESOME!”
Meanwhile, Mr. Shatner is weeping for the future.

Yes I agree! Noticed that too! Even on first flight I was struck by all the play in weightlessness and not looking out so much. I’d just bask in the earths beauty as long as possible!

It is wonderful when you learn an appreciation of someone. Here's the thing - a bit of Irony: to me William Shatner was not the perfect pick to go to space just because of the role he acted. But as it turns out, he was indeed the perfect pick, because he could express the experience and the important takeaways so brilliantly. Nice then that people listened to him because of his acting role. And how well he has matured - his 90 years have increased his wisdom without dulling his mind. Yes, I have learned an appreciation of another human being this week.

I saw Shatner at a sci fi convention. The audience was on the verge of rioting because the electricity had gone out, but the charismatic Shatner ran to the center of the stage and yelled orders at everyone, which they obeyed to the letter just as had happened on Star Trek. It became so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. He is a natural leader in real life.
But before Shatner restored order, the dim lighting, overcrowding, and rowdy audience enraged the hot-headed James Doohan, which caused him to scream at the audience to tone it down and stop blocking the fire exits (nobody listened, LOL). Someone should ask Shatner about this incident. To my then-young imagination, it really did seem that Captain Kirk was real. And so was the short tempered Scotty. One of my best childhood memories!

Very interesting he chose to describe the contrast of "death" describing the blackness of Space vs. "Life" on Earth. However, all you need to do to know there is some form of life out in Space is go out and look at all the bazillion stars in the night sky. The Universe and our Galaxy are very much alive and active. Nothing scary about that. It is wonderous.

But I think it would be different if you are confronted by the void while careening through the air in a tiny space capsule. Everyone keeps saying that he is 90
Yes, he is 90 physically. As the saying goes "age is a state of mind". I am almost 64 yrs old physically, but my head tells me I am in my 30's. You are "only as old as you feel." The younger generations don't know it yet, but your mind dictates how old you feel physically. Keep your mind sound and your body will follow. Yes there are deviations to these scenarios but overall the sayings are true.
