    Original video: • Leo P - FULL Brasshous... 11:06
    Song: Better Get 'It in Your Soul (Charles Mingus)
    Performed by: Leo Pellegrino (Leo P)
    I notated the last bit only rhythmically because there's no real meaningful information that full notation could provide. It just depends how you interpret the section.

    • @MaggaraMarine
      @MaggaraMarine 2 роки тому +22

      Just because they look concentrated doesn't mean they aren't enjoying it. Performing musicians can't become "audience members" either. They can't just focus on listening to the music when they need to perform the rhythm tightly at the same time. So yes, some level of enjoying the music, in the way that someone in the audience enjoys it, is lost when you need to perform it. But performing is a different kind of enjoyment - something that someone who has never played in an orchestra can't really understand. And again, looking concentrated doesn't mean you don't enjoy it. If they didn't enjoy it to some level, they wouldn't concentrate on it so hard either.

    • @snowmonster42

      For an orchestra player that would not be a familiar rhythm. They would really need to concentrate.

    The string section’s emotion towards clapping is reminiscent of every time my uni social orchestra was forced to clap the rhythm of any part we collectively sucked at getting the timing right on. Forced against our will and ashamed for our shortfalls for not only needing to clap it out but then upon clapping it out, hearing how truly out of time we were. Only shame came from clapping.
