If you do this.. start at night.. (the day before you have a free day) Do a Cherry Lola. Then, deep condition over night. Wake up.. do a clay mask. Condition again. Then style. Then if you have time do it again during the week, but I promise it's not necessary every day. Yes you'll see results quicker. But it's not necessary. I've done this. I'm super low po! I just big chopped again. I started my max hydration last night and finished it this morning.
OMG that looks awesome! I was all in ready to do this then you said EVERYDAY... wait? What? I’ll just have to admire yours. I think being natural is especially hard for me as I run everyday outside. So my hair is alway dealing with the extreme cold (like today 19°) or the extreme hot (summer). I wear hats but then that leads to sweat moisture always messing up any style... ugh. My struggle is so real but i guess my fitness is more important to me... ugh. I thank you for this awesome video and the excellent comments by your subscribers!
I had heard of this method a long time ago but never considered it. I was inspired by this video and the other one on the cherry lola treatment. I did the cherry lola with your recipe (minus the egg and baking soda) and a good moisture dc. It was soo awesome on my 4b/c high po hair. Then 2 weeks later I did the rest of the steps (also with a good dc session). I have seen good results instantly. The front of my hair used to always be frizzy but it actually curled right away. I will keep doing it about every week or two depending on what type of wig I wear daily. Thanks for the inspiration. You made it look doable.
Frank Murphy you don't have to do this everyday. I did it once a week for a month. The last week I did it twice. It took longer, but I could tell the difference gradually. And at the end my hair was moisturized more than ever.
SUPER CUTE BEAUTIFUL RESULTS AND WORK!!! but i think maybe you could achieve look with only a con wash and shingling with a product????????? ( 2 easy steps perhaps)
The method I use is exactly the same, but I do it every 4 days or 5. I've achieved max hydration from it, so it isn't necessary to do it daily, but you get results faster if you do :D
I just use wen by chad dean. he does all of the natural products like the first half of the mhm treatment but it's easier, already mixed and less expensive when bought by the gallon and you can leave it in as a leave in conditioner.
Ur hair is beautiful! I love the elasticity and the shrinkage in your hair....now that i understand natural hair, i realise that those arr good characteristics for the hair to have. Thank you for sharing. Afro texture hair is amazing! We just need to love our hair. Its beautiful!
I use to do this method too for like 7 months. it is a lot of work and it changed my hair color. Now I just do it once a month to keep my hair moisturized.
CherryTheGod you don't have to do it everyday.... but it'll make it happen quicker... I did it every week for a month, instead of my regular regime. I think maybe one week I did it twice (minus the cherry lola)
I tried this last week, and I must say, it really is a tough job, but it works. I really loved the bentonite clay on my hair, but it irritated my skin so bad. Before trying this, I had no idea what my curl pattern looked like. It surprised me that it worked, since nothing else seems to. I wish the bentonite clay didn't irritate my skin so much because it works wonders on my hair.
Let me tell you, do not have the clay touch your scalp. I couldn't take it touching my scalp either and I leave about 1 - 2" away from my roots to save me the drama.
I am going to attempt this method this weekend, would I need to clarify daily? And can I use Moroccan red clay with the method? Thanks in advance for your reply, and I appreciate the time you took to make this video I watched it about 5-6 times☺️
Hey! It helps if you do clarify daily, but you definitely don't have to! Especially if your hair is responding well to the modification. Also yes, any clay should work. Good Luck 😊
I know you said u didn't want to do this again because of the long process... but how often would u recommend this regimen? One a month or every 3? How long did you continue to see results after this regimen? thanks for sharing-😙
Basically the preconception is that you do this for 7 days consecutively and then reduce it to every 2-3 days and then eventually you will be doing it every 4-5 days. It takes several months of this before you can even stretch it to 7 days. The truth of the matter is water needs to touch your hair every 2-3 days to maintain a decent level of hydration so even if you don't do all these steps. You would still need to water wash and reapply your leave in and gels to have any hope of maintaining that fantastic curl.
Desiree Martinez Yep, weekly honey. It's so time consuming but I feel if you do this weekly and top up your moisture levels twice during the week, you'll be good. Be it through water washing or just through spritzing it with water and sealing it.
I love your curls! I did the MHM for 7 days this summer and my hair was more defined than i've ever seen it, I have low porosity type 4b/c(ish) hair. I would love to do it again maybe next summer but as you said....the time is takes makes you want to literally cry. lol
So question, 1)you are the first person I've found with my exact hair type. But the question is how does finger detangling work exactly? Like from what I was seeing you werent going through your roots so ia it just to detangled the ends and rest of your hair? Ive never finger detangled and have always comb my hair during conditioning. But i want to try finger detangling to help retain my curls better because i also never really where my natural curl pattern out. I stay with my hair in twists and then i wash and go that hair and have a twist out hairstyle, but never my natural curl pattern/ mostly because if I do my hair will frizz up from air drying which Ive realized comes from my not keeping my hair moisturized. So yea my basic question is about detangling
Hi there! Will be doing the mhm soon! I've watched this video over 10 times already lol! I'm so excited!!! Thank you for sharing. I just have one simple question: Since this is my first time doing it do I do the Cherry Lola Caramel Treatment just on day one or should I include it everyday for the 7 days?
Quick question, every day you do the same method, ie: vinegar wash, clay wash, flax etc? Or you did it once and watched how it processed until day 5? Thanks 😊
So at the end of your cherry lola video you deep condition, should we still deep condition then do step 1 clay rinse followed up by another deep condition?
I’m really wondering if I do the max hydration method 7 day challenge do I need to keep doing the clay rinses to maintain curls afterwards or can I just do a regular wash n go?
Aeon Dro Hey! It all depends if you feel your hair 'needs' hydration. If your hair is accepting water and moisture well, your hair will naturally curl. If not, that usually means your cuticle is closed or have build-up. If so, you should continue doing clay rinses which clears out your cuticle making your hair hold moisture better. Just examine your hair and how it reacts. Also, just keep in mind... This method is mostly about hydration. Not about making curls!
Hi, im thinking of trying this method. I was wondering when you say everyday do you mean you creat the same batch everyday and use that? Also what do you use to moisturise your hair after you've reached maximum hydration? And will your hair keep the pattern or is this some thing you have to upkeep regularly ? X
Robyn Marshall Yes! I do each step except the cherry Lola everyday for 5-7 days. The Kinky curly knot today serves as your moisture or you can use other leave ins like Paul Mitchell "the conditioner" or whatever moisturizer you usually use.
Zainab S. If you need hydration, then yes, you can do it on any hair type. If it's the curls you want, then no. It won't create curls on chemically treated or heat damaged hair.
The original method (which is what I'm doing in this video) is to be done everyday for 5-7 days straight. But I, as well as others here on UA-cam have created a modified, simpler version with the same results. You just have to find out what works best for your hair.
no way I could do this everyday, your curls look amazing though!
Thanks!!
I wish someone made a kit with everything I needed in it 🙄🙄 shea moisture I'm talking to y'all lol
emotionzdepress talk to em sis!!
Sounds like a great business idea
I'm always so amazed at how hydration just transforms curls! They look so good!

Raquel Brown I don't understand the max hydration and how to do it everyday
kenya Reed same honestly I don't understand why you would deep condition before clarifying or cleaning your hair
OMG that looks awesome! I was all in ready to do this then you said EVERYDAY... wait? What? I’ll just have to admire yours. I think being natural is especially hard for me as I run everyday outside. TiwanaLoves It seems like wash and go’s would be the perfect style for you.
I had heard of this method a long time ago but never considered it. I was inspired by this video and the other one on the cherry lola treatment. How has it been?
You have beautiful skin. I hope you've got videos about that.
Great detail in explaining the steps, thank uuu! Ur hair looks fab! Looking foward to trying! 😊💕
I use bentonite clay to detoxify my armpits. I could see applying it as a mask to your scalp, but I wouldn't put it on my hair. Interesting step.
hair goals!!!beautiful hair!
Thank you beauty ❤
Goddamn lmao this is such a long process! I don’t think I would be able to do this everyday.
Frank Murphy you don't have to do this everyday. I did it once a week for a month. The last week I did it twice. It took longer, but I could tell the difference gradually. And at the end my hair was moisturized more than ever.
Ohhh this is nice , your hair is so nice I love it !!! 😍😍😘🙋❤💘💞
Aww Thanks love!!
SUPER CUTE BEAUTIFUL RESULTS AND WORK!!! but i think maybe you could achieve look with only a con wash and shingling with a product????????? ( 2 easy steps perhaps)
Lol..will I try this again ...NO....!! Your voice is so soothing....thank you for sharing
I don't think there is a way to fix/improve/help my 4c/4d hair. I'm just gonna go bald and paste a wig on my head 😭
BIG-UP Young Lady; for reminding me HOW FIRE 🎶#housemusic is!......#ninetiesgroove🖤💪🏾🖤💪🏾
btw....Cute, healthy-looking hair
absolutely beautiful hair, beautiful girl....keep it up! !!!
Aww!!!! Thank you so much ❤
love the info...you are a beautiful young lady!
Amazing texture results.
The method I use is exactly the same, but I do it every 4 days or 5. I've achieved max hydration from it, so it isn't necessary to do it daily, but you get results faster if you do :D
OwlCityPretty9 I swear.. I use to do it every 5 days.. it took me like a month, but I could see my gradual progression
OwlCityPretty9 what method you use?
Great video lovveeeeeee it💆🏽
I tried it two years ago and I only did it for three days, but I did see results. It is very time consuming.
So when you reach max hydration what's next?
Aye Tuedon I'm assuming just your regular regimen. Weekly washing, deep conditioning, & moisturizing.
what about every other day?
How did you know that your hair texture was 4b/4a if you said you never had a curl pattern?
mariah deyana my curl pattern never shown naturally without any product or forcing it. now Naturally you can see my texture. TFW.
thank you for sharing! do you rinse out the (flax seed is it?) gel, or leave it in?
How long does this last?
Damn. What if you have a job? Do you get up at 3am. Pretty hair tho.
KerrieBradshaw I believe there are modified and simpler methods with the same results. Thanks ☺
Your curls look awesome but it's alot of work
So at any point do you ever deranged it thoroughly with a comb?
When you say "everyday" do you mean step 1-step 5 everyday!
my hair. curli
DAY 5!!!!!
Why does the clay rinse come after conditioning? Wouldnt the deep condition take better if the hair was completed clarified first?
Moriah John & the Johnsons! I was thinking the same thing
Is it ok if I skip some steps
And naturals wonder why they spend six hours washing their hair
How often do you do this?
Everytime she said not today, my BTS Trash self kept singing the song in my head 😂😂😥
What's your first language?
Every. Day.
🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶
I didnt see the flaxseed gel recipe in the comments section. Beautiful curls though! I definitely want to try this out.
Thanks for sharing 👋🏽
I have 4b/4c hair. Will this help if my hair is dry from over processing from coloring my hair?
So wait, I have to repeat ALL the steps EVERYDAY or just the water gel and leave in?
So wait, I have to repeat ALL the steps EVERYDAY or just the water gel and leave in?
So wait, I have to repeat ALL the steps EVERYDAY or just the water gel and leave in
Merline Duverge every day for 7 days and then every 3-5 days
your curls are looking juicy.
hello where did you buy your hairs' clips ? thank you
I just use wen by chad dean. he does all of the natural products like the first half of the mhm treatment but it's easier, already mixed and less expensive when bought by the gallon and you can leave it in as a leave in conditioner.
Nancy Torres isn't WEN products being sued ?
yes, for bringing out people's hair
Yes, I almost bought it for my daughter. Glad I didn't!
it's very strong you have to add an essential oil
Did you mix the clay with anything ? Or did you just apply it with water?
Beautiful Hair!😍😘
Ur hair is beautiful! I love the elasticity and the shrinkage in your hair....now that i understand natural hair, i realise that those arr good characteristics for the hair to have. Thank you for sharing. Afro texture hair is amazing! We just need to love our hair. Its beautiful!
your hair so beautiful😍😍😍 the curl pattern is pretty similiar to mine
I love your hair and the color so much!!!!! 😍😍😍❤️️
+TwinGodesses, were you trying to do the 7 days challenge with the maxium hydration method?
I use to do this method too for like 7 months. it is a lot of work and it changed my hair color. Now I just do it once a month to keep my hair moisturized.
I am have color already in my hair...Will this be a problem?
What colour did it turn?
It turns your hair to a rusty brown. It's because of the baking soda that's used. Once a month is better than every day.
Daaaaamn, changed your color?!
how do you find out what hair type you have?
who has all that time??? naaahhh
There are modified versions.
I really want to try this method but whoa seems so long but your results are amazing !
There are so many modified versions. I just chose to do the original since curiosity was killing me :( Thanks!!
i understand. i think im going to do it.
LOL soooo glad you said it was too much work but at least the end results delivered the effort you put in. It looks fab!!!
Girl I was all ready to do this method but then you said "everyday" and I was like never mind lol. But I love how informative this was. *subscribed*
CherryTheGod it's everyday for 7 days and then every 3 days after that I wrote the creator on Instagram and that's what she said
CherryTheGod rd
CherryTheGod I did the exact same thing
CherryTheGod you don't have to do it everyday.... but it'll make it happen quicker... I did it every week for a month, instead of my regular regime. I think maybe one week I did it twice (minus the cherry lola)

Ty Smith thought about using a different clay?
Kay Jay I'm thinking about trying the Rhassoul clay.
Let me tell you, do not have the clay touch your scalp. I couldn't take it touching my scalp either and I leave about 1 - 2" away from my roots to save me the drama.
try henna mask instead. It also helps repair hair

you have a video on that? will love to watch
Juanita Jacobs how did your hair handled the protein ?
Your coils are so cuuuutttttteeee! 💕
Thank you :)
So pretty 😍😍😍 definitely worth the struggle.
Whoooo has time to do this everyday if you working 8-5 🤔😩
OMG this is such a good vid, thanks
What if I did this method every week?
Probably can't do this everyday but every other day. I don't know how often you suppose to do this but I'd do it once a month.
emotionzdepress No you can google it. Your supposed to do it every day for at least a week or until you reach maximum hydration.
this is something i would do in the summer but i'm not natural
So question, 1)you are the first person I've found with my exact hair type. But the question is how does finger detangling work exactly? I'm going to try but I'll be doing it once a week for about a month. Is it ok to use the clay so frequently?
I'm confused about which clay I should use for the Maximum Hydration Method. Rhassoul/Ghassoul Clay, Bentonite Clay or should I use both?
How long did it take you to do this process max?
when my hair gets wet it shrinks and gets hard. not curlier! 😻 is there something i’m doing wrong? 🤔
Would you recommend doing this method to prep the hair for a silk press?
Do I have to use the gel? I don't usually use gel in my hair, but would like to try this method on my 4c hair.
Brittney Moore No, she did it because she was doing a wash n go.
When I do the maximum hydration method do I have to do the cherry lola thing for a week too?
paper man no, just a preliminary step
Quick question, every day you do the same method, ie: vinegar wash, clay wash, flax etc? Or you did it once and watched how it processed until day 5? Thanks 😊
How do you make your apple cider vinegar & clay rinse ?
I think you still had some Rhassoul clay in your hair.
Probably did. I'm Not perfect :(
Curious, do you use ACV to mix your Rhassoul clay wash (instead of water)?
Hi hun quick question do i have wear my hair out in a wash n go style afterwards or can i twist or braid my hair??
i have 3a and 3b in my hair
So at the end of your cherry lola video you deep condition, should we still deep condition then do step 1 clay rinse followed up by another deep condition?
Charline Jacques no ma’am. Start day two with the apple cider rinse
tfs sis!!
Thank You!
Gorgeous

TwinGodesses ok thank you
what's her hair pattern?
Hi, im thinking of trying this method. I was wondering when you say everyday do you mean you creat the same batch everyday and use that? Also what do you use to moisturise your hair after you've reached maximum hydration? And will your hair keep the pattern or is this some thing you have to upkeep regularly ? X
Robyn Marshall Yes! I do each step except the cherry Lola everyday for 5-7 days. The Kinky curly knot today serves as your moisture or you can use other leave ins like Paul Mitchell "the conditioner" or whatever moisturizer you usually use.
Also, I don't upkeep it. I just wanted to try this method out since I was curious. There are other UA-camrs who do. Just UA-cam search it.
Thanks will give it a try in a Couple weeks x
So I can use shampoo then?
Can I use eco for step 5?
Can you do this on transitioning hair?
Zainab S. If you need hydration, then yes, you can do it on any hair type. If it's the curls you want, then no. It won't create curls on chemically treated or heat damaged hair.
TwinGodesses thank you ❤️💕
Is this process done once a week, month or for seven days straight???
The original method (which is what I'm doing in this video) is to be done everyday for 5-7 days straight. But I, as well as others here on UA-cam have created a modified, simpler version with the same results. You just have to find out what works best for your hair.
Carmeshia Jefferson the creator I'm friends with said to do it for 5 to 7 days straight and after do it every 3 days
@twingoddesses did you do the Cherry Lola caramel treatment everyday?
shari galvin No, just once on the first day.
Thanks bunches
did this get deleted from yesterday?
Copyright problems. Had to reupload..

+Mrsx ßreezy Awww! Thanks for the support! Truly appreciate it ❤
