Love, love, love this. Just started using the ACV treatment within the last year, but did not realize what else my hair may need. Decided to go natural 7 years ago, and it has been quite the journey. This is probably THE best tutorial I have found, and I cannot wait to incorporate it in my routine. ❤🖤
I'm glad I watched this, I did not know you could use aztec clay on your hair. I use it on face as a mask and let me tell you..that apple cider and clay will squeeze thee life out of your face when drying but I love it afterwards.

Great information, humor, and this editing is on point. And you are right, it made your skin look amazing, too! I don't have any hair but maybe I'll try this method on my face. haha
Thank you for making this video. I stuck around because your hair is Wavy type like mine rather than Coily like a lot of tutorials I've seen on youtube so far. I used to get deep conditioners every week for most of my life but I stopped and now from watching your video I realized that's why my waves/curls can't define anymore no matter how many tutorials I follow. Leave-in conditioner and curl creams and oils are not enough. My hair is essentially still very dry. I have to go back to my deep conditioning treatments.
You girls need to try this!!!! My hair feels so good. My Scalp feel so fresh and clean. My curls are so juicy. This is a perfect for the winter. Instead of the cherry Lola treatment I did a Avocado mask. Then her 5 steps
Been using the MHM every two weeks for years now. Simpler and faster version -- Dont wash you hair first, but slather on GREEK full fat yogurt 40 minutes then wash out. Then apply RHASSOUL CLAY/ water mixture . 40 minutes then rinse out preferably in shower then apply your gel. DO NOT apply leave in conditioner, only gel like The Kurly Custard. This method is particularly best for the tightly coiled really kinky 4c hair that may be on the thin side. Thanks so much for sharing this.
Someone emailed me. Rhassoul clay provides a bit more moisture (and definition) I find better for kinky 4c. With non metal bowl and spoon, mix 3/4 cup rhassoul, add water starting w/ 1/4 cup, add 2 tablespoons each of olive oil and honey. Add more water/clay in small amounts as needed. Mixture should be on runny side, not thick. My hair moisture and definition were maxed after my third try with this method. It's a godsend for kinky 4cs.
Oooh thank you! I exactly have the 4C thin hair you mentioned, so definitely going to try this! Unfortunately I don't have rhassoul clay here, so I hope it's going to come out fine with bentonite. As for gels, are ones like doo gro hair vitalizer & blue magic tea tree oil fine to use?
@@ladytoyin Dripping wet. I put it on in the shower after washing out the clay. I use about 1/5 of the jar everytime I wash. Remember, do not use the leave on conditioner because it will lessen your definition. The yogurt and clay will leave you well moisturized and make your curls pop. About once a month or so I also use a clarifying shampoo to really clean my hair of all products.
Dude there is something oddly satisfying about natural hair when it's moisturized. Looks so touchable. And it feels great to run your fingers thru those little mini curls. Our hair is special ❤️
I just did this method (except for the initial ACV wash, I just used a clarifying shampoo) and my hair doesn’t look anywhere as good as hers, my curls didnt clump the same, but I’ll admit it’s the most defined wash n go I’ve ever had. Thanks!
One of the best videos to date. I do a similar treatment. Mine takes about an hour and half, and my hair has grown an inch an half in 2 1/2 months and the texture has changed considerably. The curls to my afro hair are more defined and the shine is crazy, especially after I use either shea butter or almond oil. The only thing I have not tried is the Benzonite clay and apple cider vinegar. Your hair looks amazing after that. You know that the process is worth it. Keep bringing us those videos.
@@Anfisaaa-yb7se I recently dyed my hair with the Creme of nature hair dye with out the ammonia. So because the it can still strip my hair i want to put the protein back into the strands. Rice water is good for this. I wash my hair with conditioner, not shampoo. Once i have rinsed that out i then spray the rice water, wrap it and leave it for half and hour. I rinse that then i use aloe sometimes, not all the time, and repeat the process. This time i will leave it in for about 45 minutes. (i know this is long). Once i am done. i then put oil n my hair and rinse my scalp with cold water. Then dab my hair. You can grease your scalp with your chosen moisturiser. I use almond oil. No blow drying just plait whilst wet. You'll see the results in the morning. ;)

Whew girl idk if I could do all them steps but it turned out super moisturized ❤❤❤
Your hair looks so good!!! You got me wanting to take down my braids just to wash my hair! 😭
Lol me too
Right!
One day when I'm super bored and motivated I will do this to my hair. I can see the difference! It's amazing! Beautiful!
Have you tried it?
@@babybleu1999 I've been super bored but didn't have the motivation.
Just wanna say that I appreciate how u let us know exactly where your tutorial starts you showed your honest thoughts throughout the process aswell as having links in your bio very very helpful thanks sis 🙏🏽 Go girl 😉👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Ok Jess...I watch 100s of hair videos and your video is like a breath of fresh air. Personality, Humor and just keeping it real! Your results make me want to transition back to natural hair. Great job li'l Sis! 😁😁
6:22 When that song played, I felt proud to be a Jamaican!😁🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Pressure is from 🇻🇮 the US Virgin Islands.
As you should❤️❤️
Amen
Me too! 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 Jam Dung all the way!
Love all my island people, but let's remember all reggae isn't from J/A. This very popular song is from Pressure Buss Pipe who is from the VI 🇻🇮
first of all why is your hair back at my length already. I'm jealous. Second of all your hair looks so good i've gotta try this
Right girl. The same 4 me. Been natural for 10 years but I ain't gon lie......I wasn't consistent over the years......and I'm jealous. But her hair is POPPIN🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥u gotta love your girl
Yes sis, those curls are gorgeous. Definitely heavenly hydrated. I'll need to try this too - my curls need a revival. Thanks for sharing!
Love, love, love this. Just started using the ACV treatment within the last year, but did not realize what else my hair may need. Decided to go natural 7 years ago, and it has been quite the journey. This is probably THE best tutorial I have found, and I cannot wait to incorporate it in my routine. ❤🖤
The burn that is the ACV getting in your eye. Doesn’t look like you had to suffer this like I do every time I use it lol. Your hair is gorg!
Oh no no it def burned my eyes I just cut that part out 😂 and also got my eyebrows done that same day and my eyebrows skin was BURNINGGGGG 😂
Here i was thinking it was just me🤣
Ha! I’m glad we are all in it together. Wonderful video! Got me thinking about using this method.
I was jus about to say the same thing. Imma have to use a spray bottles. The applicator bottle have it running like water lol
@@OnlyOneJess hi dear what is that powder name
*screams* " look at the hydration, HELLLOOOO" 😂😂 Yaasssssss
@7:29 my heart sank. That missing spot will haunt me forever.
😂😂😂Remember @6:11 she was already tired of the process, so I was too surprised to see that missing spot.
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
SAME 🤷🏾♀️ #thickHAIRisWORK 🤔🤔thought I was the only 1 who caught that🤭😁😶😶
YEEEEEESSSSSSSSS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm glad I watched this, I did not know you could use aztec clay on your hair. I use it on face as a mask and let me tell you..that apple cider and clay will squeeze thee life out of your face when drying but I love it afterwards.
Not gone lie I been looking at hair care videos for like 5 hrs while I work and I must say THIS THE ONE! Thank you 🙏🏾
My hair used to be so dry and I tried it, it’s so soft and hydrated. I can’t wait to try it again
Thank you
I used my MONAT Conditioner since I couldn’t find yours
Btw I have 4c
I needed this video because my curls be DRY lol
Was just about to comment that 😅👌
Same sis...same 😔
Parched! I have a love/hate relationship with my hair!
I put dog dodo in my roots
😂😂😂 I have to laugh to keep from crying, because me too! 💀
I work in the theatre industry and I'm trying to educate myself on the care of various textures of hair (especially the type 4's), and I just wanted to say that I love this video.
I have to go back to my deep conditioning treatments.
we...have....the....same.....hair type!!! FINALLY FINDING SOMEONE WITH THE SAME TYPE
You girls need to try this!!!! My hair feels so good. My Scalp feel so fresh and clean. My curls are so juicy. This is a perfect for the winter. Instead of the cherry Lola treatment I did a Avocado mask. Then her 5 steps
Not the Jah Cure!! Yess🔥, sending love from Jamaica 🇯🇲
I’m going to try this. Thank you
Oooh thank you!
@@themothershyp7788 do you put the gel on dripping wet hair or damp hair?
Thanks!
Lol watching this video while my baby sleeps, soon as u said “hello!” Child he opened his eyes thanks Jess 🤦🏿♀️😂
Same here lol 😂.....my baby is 4 tho
Aww that's so cute! 🥰🥰🥰
When she took the twists out in the beginning I was like “cute!” But I understand about the dryness. Watching this video to learn. 👍🏾👍🏾
Can you tell me what you do? I’m on a hair growth journey rn.
You'll see the results in the morning. ;)
@@taminamiller40 thank you so much. I’ll try this the next time I wash my hair.
@@Anfisaaa-yb7seYou're Welcome! Let me know how you go.

I have found that a block of natural black soap, ONE wash does AMAAAZING clarifying!
Your personality is the vibe!!!!!! And I’m learning !!! Can’t wait to try this in my daughters hair !!!!!
Ah thank you!! I hope it turns out great for her :)
Oouu girl you repped your culture with that song!!!! Much love from Jamaica
When Jess’s hair was coloured I thought we had similar curls but since she cut it and been taking better care of it I KNOW we have almost the same hair🥺 porosity and all❤️ I love this
Also here for the “Love and affection” and you do “got my attention”
Love you Jess💕

Thanks for letting us know about the drain issue and the tools to mix the clay.
My hair is in dire need of this! Watching the transformation has me getting dressed to go to target ASAP!
Substitute I use for the Cherry Lola Treatment 🍒: E’Tae Carmelux deep conditioning treatment. It has all the ingredients, requires no steps except applying it to your hair lol, and made for a long shelf life. Absolutely love the Max hydration method and her curls are everything 🥰
Etae expires so fast be careful
Just stumbled upon this video... She's so beautiful, such an adorable personality 💖
I never really knew what to do with my low porosity hair except deal with it and the frizziness it brings. I’m SO glad I came across this video I definitely need to try this
Looking at this makes me remember my long curls... Although doing my hair in this state took hours I truly miss it! Your hair is beautiful Love!
That maximum hydration method may be a tedious one, but it's so worth it. Especially for low porosity hair.
Oh me, don’t mind me, I’m just admiring her hair growth that’s all😻😻😻
wow your cheekbone/ smile is everything tfs!
wow thank youuuu
Okaaaaaaayyyyyyy Jess!!!! Love the thumbnail, the editing, the montage... keeping your word I see! Love to see it!!!
I’m glad you told me to get Drano for the clay treatment. That’s the real #protip! Definitely need to try this method.
💯💯💯
This worked. I didn't leave each step in for too long but hair is SO soft and that's all I care about.
Girrrrrrl I just did the Aztec clay mask the other day! I love this mask. It makes my hair so much cleaner, softer, and shiner than other shampoos! Also applying your leave-in the shower allows for better absorption of the product... low porosity over here lol
I apply my leave in and then place a plastic cap on so it can absorb. Changed the game for me.
@@lareace3574 thanks for the tips.
@Adele Zadi not if you rub it in properly
