Your hair came out beautifully!!! Ive been doing the max hydration for 2 years and all the steps are not necessary( I don't recommend doing all the steps). I wash my hair with apple cider vinegar (rinse), deep condition with sodium bentonite clay using heat (rinse), apply leave in conditioner and oil, then the gel-DONE! I do add some type of oil to the sodium bentonite clay when I am deep conditioning. There's magic to this clay. Another thing I learned was to make sure my hair was banded in sections at night-this cut down on my hair tangling while keep it stretched.
I love this. I tried it yesterday and this morning I rinsed out the Cantu. I love my results. The only issue i had was that the cantu was hard to rinse out and i had residue on my scalp. Other than that Bravo and THANK YOU because my 4Z hair type never looked this defined and stayed that way.
I did the MHM earlier this year but I completely skipped the cherry lola treatment & still had amazing results! It's so time comsuming but it was well worth it!
Hey Loves! Sorry for the audio! Need a new Voice Over Mic! But anywho...Just FYI, this method is NOT NECESSARY in everyone's hair regimen. This is something that helps but not at all required to obtain hydration.
can u please do a flatiron video (new and updated) and a lenght check aswell also i really wanted to know if u could put how to maintain lenght with straight hair from your subscriber, Aali~♡
Argan Rain shampoo leaves your hair feeling and smelling soft and clean. My teenage daughter and I both use it. I love the smell! i will definitely be ordering more.
*ArganRain is a great product. I am very impressed and recommend to everyone! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for a honest review.*
Thank you so much for taking the time to create this. I'm a Afro-Caribbean-Latin with type 3a, b and God only knows what some these strands are. I did the big chop about 2 years ago and dumped all the other products out and switched to Cantu and suddenly my curls really came out. But my health isn't good and I don't know what's going on but I'm starting to lose a LOT of hair everyday again and my curls are getting fuzzy and starting to do the rat's nest thing. Do you think maybe this might help? Doctors are thinking I've developed 2 more forms of arthritis on top of the other mess my body's going through that's causing the hair loss and dryness.
I really want to try this. My curls are never defined. I would like to at least see what it would look like beside the occasional two curls I get when I wash my hair. I'm hoping this works for me.
I had braids for two months and I shocked at how my hair was . The shrinkage , frizzy texture was really hard to deal with. I wanted something that would make my hair easier to deal with , so I tried the caramel treatment. It worked I can actually finger comb my hair. I can't wait to try this one.
I love the Cherry Lola Treatment I use it anytime I think my hair needs a protein boost (followed by deep condition), but the Max Hydration Method completely ate through my hair. I think it might have been the constant application of the clay (which was too harsh) and using gel (which left my hair dry). I wouldn't recommend MHM to anyone.
It's the baking soda that's stripping; I use vinegar in my poos and cons and it's VERY clarifying for the scalp. It also helps to balance the ph of your hair and scalp.
MHM works great for my hair! I like using the full fat yogurt and Braggs with the mother works 100 times better than store brand ACV. I also find that using an applicator bottle makes it easier for me. I'm looking forward to the rest of the videos! Your results are looking fantastic!!!
I think we have the same hair type even tho Idk the grade but my hair looks like that when I put bentonite clay or deep conditioner and when it's rinsed out yay!
Did the creator update her treatment? I asked bc on her channel she only used 3 ingredients and it was extremely simple. She uploaded it 13 years ago. I do want to try the upgraded treatment.
Never knew about this. Big chopped a year ago and my hair is always so dang dry! Gotta try this on my next series of off days! I have thick, low porosity hair. Super excited to have found your videos! ♥️ 👌🏾
I made this in a bullet (blender), 😞😞 I fought to open it because of the pressure. I dropped the container and everything exploded. It took me 6hrs to clean. So I decided to do it again, and here I am. I can't open it OMG. But it worked good with the little I salvaged from my first batch. 😘
@@htrfdes Thank you for informing us! I also have a M.Bullet. I guess I'll blend the banana, avocado with the yougurt. Or the other liquids. And add the Baking Soda at the end.
Thank you for the video! I've never seen my actual curl pattern (thanks to some heat damage and a lotv of frizz) aside from the few coils I have in the back so hopefully this will help!
Hey omg I love you gus so much. Keep shinning bright. Ur videos are so useful in the daily life. Thanks for this great idea. Definitely gonna use it. Lots of love. 💕
You did a great job explaining the process and the sound was on point to me. I do have 1 question, when you mixed the ingredients instead of starting off in a bowl can you just mix everything in the blender?
So I did the actual cherry Lola treatment from the cherry Lola UA-cam page the creator of the treatment, I’m just wondering how you came to include the other ingredients did it help better with absorption? I would love to try your version of it and compare now, had u originally done that and found this to work even better?!
I have a question, can I do the Maximum Hydration Method if I have not done the big chop? I'm so lost on where to start any ideas will greatly be appreciated.
luvlybutterfly89 Well, does your hair need hydration? If so, then yes! Since your hair isn't fully Natural, your hair won't define the way mines did. However, you will still be hydrating your hair which is the sole purpose of this method.
Ima deftly try this after I take down my next protective style which will be in another month or two 😁. It turnt out great on your hair 😍. Do you have any videos about color damage hair and trimming your ends as it grow out ? I'm a new sub scriber 😘
Marissa Amiliano see if you can tolerate white vinegar, I just won't/can't do ACV, the smell of white vinegar is more tolerable and you get the same results as ACV...
I just took out braids I've had for months and I washed my hair but its super frizzy so would it be ok to do this treatment the day after I've washed and put leave in, olive oil and Cantu curl cream in my hair??
Nice video! could you substitute the baking soda with something else? I heard that baking soda is not good for hair; it's very drying to the hair so I want to find something to replace the baking soda. Any suggestion?
catalina Ease use heat. The baking soda is just for lifting the cuticle. I too, am afraid of baking soda. So just go under a hooded dryer with the treatment and that should do the trick
I did Mane Objective's modified version of this and loved it!!! It's a lot of work tho and I don't have the time anymore but I can't wait to see your experiences and results
Whew thats alot of ingredients. I didnt see much of a difference. Does this absolutely hav to be done before the maximum hydration process? Could I just purchase an protein treatment?
For low po girls spray your hair with hot water and put on a plastic bag or cap before you apply this; it helps a lot with absorption.
Thanks for the tip!
Thanks :) I have low porosity hair but I like a high porosity deep conditioner. I recently talked about high porosity products in some videos.
I wish I would’ve read this before 😪
Colbi robertson how did yours come out
Thanks
i was so shocked at the part where she showed her face! it's so symmetrical, and her eyes and lips are gorgeous!!

The bentonite clay doesn't dry your hair out. It does mine. Is the trick the oil???
+Akyrah34 Vigier yeah I'm pretty sure that's the trick. If your hair is high porosity, be careful with the bentonite clay.
I think this Is more of a protein treatment. The mhm(more inclined to moisture retention )was a follow up of a cherry lola treatment.
this is a good version of the cherry lola treatment. you can use organic banana baby food if you don't like dealing with a messy banana.
It's been 7 years since I've gone natural and I FINALLY found my hair twin. I might cry
Tieasha S. I agree with you Tieasha, not putting baking in my hair too abrasive!!!
What is MHM?
@Victoria Milton, it's Maximum Hydration Method
Hey Loves! Sorry for the audio! Need a new Voice Over Mic! But anywho...Just FYI, this method is NOT NECESSARY in everyone's hair regimen. This is something that helps but not at all required to obtain hydration.

Argan Life argan oil has been working great. Can't wait until I have longer hair!
TwinGodesses I live in Phx, AZ and I'm going to try this. My hair stays dry no matter if I put oil on it the day before.
Omg this really work I am doing it on my hair right now I never seen so many curl in my hair thanks for the tip
Do we have to use so much protein. I recently found out I have low porosity hair and I heard protein is bad for this porosity level
Argan Rain shampoo leaves your hair feeling and smelling soft and clean. My teenage daughter and I both use it. I love the smell! i will definitely be ordering more.

You have just changed the whole cherty lola treatment to something else. Amaxing.

When I saw caramel treatment I almost thought you were putting caramel in your hair LOOOL . This looks interesting almost like a henna treatment.
I had braids for two months and I shocked at how my hair was . The shrinkage , frizzy texture was really hard to deal with. I wanted something that would make my hair easier to deal with , so I tried the caramel treatment. It worked I can actually finger comb my hair. I can't wait to try this one.

i was just about to start the mhm and this was really helpful. i still might try it, but now i know to steer clear of the clay/gel parts. thank you!!
lnvw0227 it's the acv
I never tried this treatment. I recently talked about maximum hydration for dry hair.
It's the baking soda that's stripping; I use vinegar in my poos and cons and it's VERY clarifying for the scalp. It also helps to balance the ph of your hair and scalp.
Me too! Can you just use the cherry lola treatment alone and then continue with your own routine?
Please I would like to see the full hydration process.. I love love love your hair and how you explain each process in detail!!
you should rinse with cold water. it helps to close the cuticle and lock in moisture
MHM works great for my hair! I like using the full fat yogurt and Braggs with the mother works 100 times better than store brand ACV. I also find that using an applicator bottle makes it easier for me. I'm looking forward to the rest of the videos! Your results are looking fantastic!!!
how often did you do it?
I just doing this process. I did the original. my hair doesn't like molasses. and I love it.
Tried this method this weekend and the results were u believable.
your hair looks so healthy i love it
This is a heck of a lot of protein, amino, yoghurt and molasses?
Carefully of protein overload, amino's would have been enough alone.
Tbh, is protein over load REAAAAALLY that bad?
@@lemoncholy3264 protein are very important if you have high porosity hair, but low porosity has to be a bit careful with it.
I think we have the same hair type even tho Idk the grade but my hair looks like that when I put bentonite clay or deep conditioner and when it's rinsed out yay!
I'm happy I'm subscribed because I didn't even know Cantu had a deep conditioning treatment I have to cop that lol I love their leave in
I'm so excited for all the videos lol can't wait until u upload them
Wow loved how your hair turned out!
I need to start getting back into DIY hair treatments. Loved the video!
@twingodesses place oil in the measuring cup so that the honey does not stick
Wow, absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you Love!!!
Wow I haven't seen a Cherry Lola treatment vid in years. Didn't think people still did them.
How often should you do this?
Did the creator update her treatment? I asked bc on her channel she only used 3 ingredients and it was extremely simple. She uploaded it 13 years ago. I do want to try the upgraded treatment.
how many time do u do this treatment in your hair?
Yay...I love it when you ladies do the natural videos...I'm definitely gonna try it...keep em coming
im so excited to see step 2! I feel motivated to do this now.. thanks!! I have hope
Love DIY treatments so much, it's really fun (almost like baking!)!!!

ZeroChanZen did it help?
Did you apply this to clean hair (shampooed) or just your hair as is?
I think her hair is not clean at the beginning.
I live in Phoenix too!! I'm a native! Yeeassss Dry Hair ugggh!! Trying this method asap!! Good video!
Hey omg I love you gus so much. Keep shinning bright. Ur videos are so useful in the daily life. Thanks for this great idea. Definitely gonna use it. Lots of love. 💕
how often would you do this ?
Thanks for sharing. It was very easy to follow. What were you doing after rinsing out the deep conditioner? Would love to see the rest of the steps
I thought about using this method a while ago, but I forgot about it. Thank you for sharing your experience with it! 😘
can I skip a few things such as the baking soda and the egg? if so will my hair pattern come out curly like that. I have 4c hair!
Do we start this on clean hair? Dirty hair?....
Could I do this method without the liquid aminos?
Hello Beautiful How Often Do U Use This Method
i would love love love to see the whole process
Where can I get the black cap you put on before you went to bed?
Great video, you’ve got beautiful hair and I love how natural this is :) Can we make extra and freeze this to have deep conditioner for later?
Loved the video and thanks for sharing...definitely gonna try this method...how often is it suppose to be done?
You did a great job explaining the process and the sound was on point to me. I do have 1 question, when you mixed the ingredients instead of starting off in a bowl can you just mix everything in the blender?
How often do you do this procedure?
it's beautiful , I'm definitely going to do that
Awesome! Great video! I want to try it on my hair now and do a review on it.
How long can you store this product. I'm sure it needs to be refrigerated.
Curious, I saw the Fry’s bag and you said you’re in the desert. Are you in AZ?
what hair type do you have? just curious.
Ok so do I shampoo my hair before doing this treatment or after?
What were you putting on your hair and scalp at the very end of the video after you rinsed out the deep conditioner?
I know it's been years since you did this method.. Did you do a Step 2 video?
So I did the actual cherry Lola treatment from the cherry Lola UA-cam page the creator of the treatment, I’m just wondering how you came to include the other ingredients did it help better with absorption? I would love to try your version of it and compare now, had u originally done that and found this to work even better?!

Where did you get that sleep cap from at the end of your video?
@2:14 Molasses is a protein agent? How, it doesn't has any amino acids in it. It's Syrup left over from the sugar cane.
Two questions
Do you have to use the molasses?
And is you hair type 4C?
Gabi Life i kdid this u can u syrup instead

Amazing!!! Looks awesome now I want to try!
Do you both still use this method? How often do you do it?
-Letia @ Buclé
I definitely need to do this.
I enjoyed this video and really want to give this a try after seen f your results....The Cherry Lola is step 1 do you have to do step 2 MHM?
So pretty! You're Hair is Just like mine. Loved the video 😝😘😘
Can you use this method with dyed hair???
I'm allergic to ACV so is there something I should replace it with or just eliminate it all together?
Marissa Amiliano see if you can tolerate white vinegar, I just won't/can't do ACV, the smell of white vinegar is more tolerable and you get the same results as ACV...

I need to try this one my hair!!! 😭
Wow! I cant wait to try this.
We have the same hair texture. What Is your hair chart?
Wow!! I definitely have to try this!
Nice video! could you substitute the baking soda with something else? I heard that baking soda is not good for hair; it's very drying to the hair so I want to find something to replace the baking soda. Any suggestion?

catalina Ease use heat. The baking soda is just for lifting the cuticle. I too, am afraid of baking soda. So just go under a hooded dryer with the treatment and that should do the trick
You could double the vinegar, it lifts like the baking soda but isn't as harsh or stripping...
Would you use this treatment on freshly washed hair or does it matter?
Does Anyone Know Where She Got The Overnight Cap? I Cant Keep Anything On My Head As Night. Bad Sleeper. 🤦🏾♀️ Any Suggestions?
How often should this be done and how long can you store the mixture with the molasses and protein?
How do I fit this into my wash routine
I need to try this my hair is very very dry
How often shouldn't do this?
Do you still do these?/also what curl type do you have? I’m trying to decide wether to try this. Thank you!!!!
love this video. what's your hair type ?
What's the best deep conditioner?? I'm new to natural world at 7months and advice? My hair always dry!

There are so many versions online glad I found the original !
I did Mane Objective's modified version of this and loved it!!! It's a lot of work tho and I don't have the time anymore but I can't wait to see your experiences and results
how often do you deep condition?
