    Finally a yoga teacher who understands that people with slipped discs shouldn't be rounding out their backs! I've had so many yoga teachers injure me further with their bad advice. This video was perfect, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! (The cat cameo was a nice touch!)

      you do need to learn to toleration some flexion and also not all herniated disc people should avoid flexion. It depends on the person :) x

      @@AlbaYogaAcademy is it safe to do Dru Yoga when you have a slipped disc due to Osteoarthritis? I`m terrified I do anything wrong or make it worse.

      Is it common for L5S1 disc herniation rehab to take longer than a year?

      @@chris.viapondo if you are not getting the correct information it could be come chronic. Don't do forward bending stretching to star with.

      @@mathacademy-eng.mohamedali yeah I think it's getting better and healing finally. I have been very active yet avoiding forward flexion and that seems to be helping.

      I really don't understand how this is doing a good thing for my lumbar herniated disks... I feel more pain after doing this...

    I have been suffering from disc herniation for last 4 months and I have been doing some exercise to get rid of all pains. Those exercise made me better, no doubt. But I never feel painless lower back.
    Now, I found this video 1 week ago and have been doing this for last 5 days (once or twice a day). Just trust me, THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! Just INCREDIBLE!! I never feel such good lower back in last 4 months! This lady just repaired my lower back. I am grateful to her. I feel super changes in my lower back. Thanks again for your great Yoga Class..

    This healed me. I had a bad fall while running a little over a year ago. I herniated two discs and the sciatica pain has been unending for pretty much the whole year. Agonizing at times. I stumbled across this while trying to find a way to avoid surgery. I experienced significant relief after the 2nd session. I do it every single day now, sometimes twice. This 17 minute session has been a game changer for me! Thank you!

    dear celest, thank your for making this video, I got HNP for 4 months on my L4, L5-S1, I got served nerve block injection because I can't stand the pain. now I'm doing yoga for HNP and swimming, your video helps a lot, I've been doing yoga for a week now and it really works. thank you so much.

    I’m about 4 weeks into a herniated disc where the pain is much more tolerable and this helped me SO MUCH! I did this in the morning and was pain free the rest of the day! Thank you so much!!!!!!

    I have been experiencing severe radicular pain and paresthesia left butt/leg for the past 3 weeks. Had an MRI and I found out this week that I had herniated L4/L5 disc hitting L5 nerve root. So I did your flow today for the first time. Felt great with no increase symptoms. It definitely is a keeper for me! Will definitely incorporate this into my recovery plan. BTW, you left out half kneeling stretch to one side (left leg forward/right leg back ) near the end of the routine. So anyone reading this, don't forget to do it!

    I have herniated disc. Came back from hospital few weeks ago and have been excercising since. I really want to avoid surgery. I found your videos just yesterday and at first I was sceptic. You know sometimes youtube can do more harm than good. But I read the comments here and they encouraged me to try. So I tried and instantly I felt a huge amount of pressure released from my back. Of course this does nor treat my herniated discs, but it really takes away the pain. I hope it builds some strength and flexibility. So thank you and post more. More. More. 😊😊

    THANK YOU Celeste! Like Dave, I realized too late that the flexion I was doing in yoga classes was only making my disc worse! I did your class twice and feel soo much better, no Advil needed!

    This is a fantastic video! Excellent teaching skills. I dont have a herniated disc but I do have an extremely tight back, so much so that it hurts with any type of forward flexion or deep twist--from years of having an over curved lumbar and multiple car accidents. This video really helped me. I have been through yoga teacher training myself but this issue has been holding me back from teaching. I cannot wait to get back into it! Thank you Celest!

    Enjoying these three videos for herniated/slipped disc. I have clients with balance issues and osteo challenges, so I adapt this with using chairs to get up and off the floor, plus with a bit more balance support. Thank you dear!

    Hey Celeste, this was my first day doing your routine for L4L5S1 disc bulge. It was diagnosed 18 months ago and iv bn living a restricted life since then. Tried many videos online but didnt feel good in my back after each session, so i stopped. Today, after your routine i feel good and im going to document each days progress here for a week.     I've had severe sciatica and back pain with four slipped discs in my lower back. It's caused me so much depression and weight gain. I did this yesterday and It felt 10 times better. I couldn't believe it. It's such a short sequence but it is very powerful. I am committed to doing this every day now. I could barely move when I woke up in the morning. Thank you so much for this.

    I was in bad pain and no relief and giving up up on future,was told about this and I was shocked how well it made me feel, no pain for hours. What I found out when you cross hand and push leg back, was easy enough on left side, right side I could not, i was to weak on that side. That was reason all these years I was pulling on disc. Now its getting stronger and I feel like a new man. That was my first ever to do yoga and I am hooked, thank you for this free video, I wish you the karma helping other returns back to you many times over. I am 45 still in Military and can able to hit gym again and not forced to retire,Thank you !

    Pretty much only yoga I’ve done that helps me so much. I have Complex scoliosis so it’s hard to do yoga that isn’t affecting all parts of my spine from my neck to lower back I feel much better ❤️☀️

    I just discovered you Celeste and I’m so glad I did! I have been doing yoga for 25 years and lately have been doing 3-5 minute forward folds for back traction and this is the first I’ve heard that it’s actually bad for my back. Thank you!     Oh... my... God. Amazing! This stuff actually helps alleviate my back pains! The poses looked like they'd make my back hurt worse, but it was completely the opposite.

    New thumbnail threw me off - I thought I had lost my favorite back pain video for a minute there 😅 I owe you a huge thank you for this video - it helped me come back from a severe disc herniation that had me thinking I would never be able to do yoga again, but now (thanks to these tips and some modifications) I am able to practice again 😊

    Hi Celest,
    I just wanted to say thanks.
    I had a bulged disk and was unable to work. It was really worrying. Wondering if it was something I was going to have to deal with my whole life.
    I started doing this video every morning and night and had immediate relief. I was at about 90% after a month.
    I have slackened off recently but I still do some of the stretches everyday and I keep getting stronger.

    great vid btw, i herniated my lower disk hanging drywall years ago, but it does feel more stable with yoga practice

    I did this last night with all the grace and coordination of a newborn horse.
    I noticed that I struggled a lot with things like the crescent lunge and what you called the "modified warrior III," however the move that you said was difficult (around 9:36) wasn't as hard for me to do. I have herniated discs in my upper and lower back but I used to be more fit (tons of biking, boxing, running, etc), and I still have some of the muscular development I guess, so I don't fully understand my muscular deficiencies. Nowadays all I do is sit and lay down for the most part because even walking is painful.
    I am planning on redoing this tonight and continuing to practice it daily until I feel comfortable enough to move onto your other herniated disc videos.

    This is great! I have 2 torn disks and this video is the only yoga class I found that doesn't make my back feel worst. Plus your so down to earth and super cute!
