‘Only Time Will Tell’ - video track taken from the full-length concert of a landmark live show from Asia’s 25th anniversary 2007 world tour, recorded at the Shinjuku Kosei Nenkin Hall, Tokyo on 8th March. Featuring the reformed original band line-up of Geoff Downes, Steve Howe, Carl Palmer and John Wetton.
John Wetton had an absolutely beautiful voice. May he rest in peace.

Still awesome, it sounds perfect. Pulled me right back into the Eighties for five beautiful minutes.
No kidding. I get goosebumps for sure. This is the music I love.
Graduated 83 . Love the 80s music.
The 80's were the last time things were right.
This song was on the radio over and over again when my dad took me on a college tour around our state. He liked the song too, even though it wasn't of his generation. I miss him and I miss the 80s.
This song takes me back to the early 80s.
Rest in peace Mr Wetton.
R.I.P. John Wetton, A Great Singer. ❤😢🎵🎶🎸🎙⭐️❤️🌹
Asia = 4 musicos virtuosos en escena, que mas se puede pedir.
Steve Howe from yes
Great talent
This is one amazing group, both collectively and individualy!!! RIP John Wetton!!!!
His voice is as great as ever!!
It was a gift to get the guys all back together. Some of the best shows; ever.
Perfect place for Asia to play their music.
My brother bought the LP in 1982 and I still remember when I listened it for the first time…..41 years laters I still sing this song in the morning especially. Amazing band…..
My Brother too
What a Great song and band ..so many memories
Yes and deed
Thank you Asia for all of your Music through the years.
Best of the 80s ❤️❤️❤️😪☝️✌️
Asia is full of playing skills and talent. 👍
This song brings back so many memories. A little over 20 years ago a relationship I’d been in for nearly a decade was ending but he was a pathological liar and was trying to string me along. Turns out he was having an affair with a 16 year old kid as a 29 year old adult and wanted to get an apartment for them. I had no clue but alarm bells were going off. I started dreaming about this song but hadn’t heard it in years. Then each morning a radio station would play this song daily while I was getting ready for work. It played each morning for at least a couple of weeks, all the while realizing that this was too bizarre to just be a coincidence. This song made me feel empowered. Soon after I discovered what was really going on and completely cut him out of my life. Poor girl got pregnant a few months later and he abandoned her to move in with a 19 year old. He denies to this day that he has ever fathered a child. What a great song.
One of the best songs ever..sung by this fantastic super group
It takes me back to my childhood ❤ I'm going to cry....😢
I still Love this song

この伝説のライブ、行きました!人類史上に残る名曲です🔔
55 anos de idade, 2024 e ainda ouvindo essa canção maravilhosa e essa banda sensacional
The four fantastic masters....period.
The best of the best.
Love love the guitar parts in this song. Always true for Howe, but they really carry this song like a duet.
The soundtrack to my teenage years and all of the confusing feelings that went along with them. I'll always be thankful for this music.
Saw this tour. So awesome the way they did it letting each member do there song from that band. Very cool.
I bought this album not knowing who these guys were...Only Time Will Tell...Heat Of The Moment....and Sole Survivor...I only learned that after 63 years I found out who they were individually and I was blown away!!!!!
Great band. Superb musicians and vocalist.
Only time will tell. What a song. What about the lyrics. As many times as I have heard this song. As many times as I have tried to understand the deeper meaning in the lyrics. Never get tired of this or even many Asia songs. I think in thousands of years people will hear this song and some will ask who were these geniuses? Who was John Wetton?
May the music be with you.
Very well said and such a nice comment. They are stellar musicians. Brilliant formation.
Great 🎼🎶🎵🎶💯
I listen to songs over and over, I find a different meaning to the song that blends together.
@@Patrick-ih9cp Thanks Patrick for your comment.
„A different meaning that blends together.“
Music and his lyrics are a wonderful way to get people together.
So imagine you're not a native English speaker. Try to understand these words in the lyrics from the song then in your native tongue, the words that built the sentences. Followed by the meaning behind them.
Is it an advantage to be native because all words and sentences are from the beginning are well known and the sense behind it should be clear?
Or is it a disadvantage because many things are so differently in your language and then you try to understand the deeper meaning?
Only time will tell.
A different meaning that blends together.
I think I have something learnt again.
Have you, your family and friends a wonderful christmas.
May the music always be with you.
The singer expresses confidence that a falsehood or deception is no longer present, using the metaphor of the sun crossing the sky to emphasize the inevitability of this truth. The reference to tears that used to tide the speaker over suggests that the emotional difficulty or hardship associated with the lie is also gone. Overall, it conveys a sense of liberation or resolution from a challenging situation.
Boy does this bring back 80’s memories
I love John Wetton's soooo much..RIP!!!!
One of the greatest 80's bands ever, iconic music!
Got lucky as a youngster and saw them live, on their tour supporting their first album, in the early 1980s, a small but nice venue in San Francisco. This was before the hit song Heat of the Moment allowed them to sell-out large arenas. There were only 50 to max 100 people in the club, from what I remember. They were right there, with the audience right next to the stage, not like having a band up on a large stage, removed from the audience. It was great.
When I got older I bought Steve Howe's next group "GTR" album - he left Asia. GTR was good stuff.
Music is wonderful, i enjoy this song, sounds of my youth, eyes are teary, innocence gone
He really sounds great here. I appreciate them taking the time to to polish this true-to-the-original version, that is no mean feat.
オリジナルメンバーってだけで涙が溢れる
どうです?日本の聴衆は世界一でしょう?
Damned! I'm crying! This was my youth....😢
❤❤THE BEST LINE UP ❤❤
"The brightest ring around the moon
Will darken when I die..."
I was 7 yrs old when I first heard ASIA and was immediately taken by Wetton's voice. 40+ years later and I still love it. I still have my 45 of Heat of the Moment that got heavy play on my Fisher-Price record player!
Rest well, Mr. Wetton.
Thank you for the music.
For a second, I thought it was Russel Crowe singing. RIP John.
Asia is a supergroup, the best, I'm not sure. The Traveling Wilbury's and The Highwaymen hold a pretty bright candle.
VERY GOOD GROUP. MANY GOOD MEMORIES, OF THOSE TIMES, WHEN I PRESENTED TO THE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, IN 1982.
Para los q saben de buena musica la recomiendo es un paseíto al recuerdo ❤🎵💖🤗👋👋
Steve Howe always a master at work. One of the great 80's bands.

❤❤ASIA FOREVER ❤❤JOHN WETTON, THE BEST❤❤
昔と変わらない歌声
本当に素晴らしい🎉
Yes, that magic still there.
Loved this song , RIP John you left a lasting legacy 💔
I think Wetton sounds better here than he did in the 80’s
Steve Howe is the guy who carried the melodic lead guitar part composer torch on, from what George Harrison did in The Beatles.
Berton Averre of the Knack was superb.
Que saudade meu Deus do céu...
Anos 80 melhor época da música mundial de todos os tempos ❤❤❤❤❤❤!!!!
“Só o tempo dirá” Asia
Just heard this on in my car... had to come back for seconds! 2023

What a lineup! Steve Howe (happy belated birthday! Geoff Downes, Carl Palmer, and R.I.P. to the great John Wetton on bass and wonderful vocals. Steve Howe plays some awesome guitar on this...so melodic and catchy. I'm so excited that the INCREDIBLE Marc Bonilla will be playing guitar and singing on their upcoming tour. I love that guy!
I can't find any current info on the upcoming tour, only that the 2022 tour was postponed to this year to support Alan Parsons Live Project, but the APLP website doesn't show any tour dates.
R.I.P. John Wetton
Browsing CDs from Japan with the release of albums of American artists, They were HUGE and very POPULAR in that country!
Prog Pop mix that flooded the FM radio back when we were kids.....Uk meets Yes ELP
Love cruise around in my 1971 Vista cruiser headed to work heating and cooling on ecorse and Hanna road for Harold woods and Mikey woods Ricky Rick's and brother-in-law Dell showing up in Ronnie Liberty Mr padina Mr Al Weiss. And others. Hearing this tune on the way to work on the way home it was cool I was at 10 knocker. Dark work and such. Primarily a grunt.,🏋️🎯👍 physical work
Tempos bons anos 80. Tempo de muitas inceetezas
Music of my childhood!!🎉🎉🎉
Make no mistakes about Steve Howe's grampa looks, he's a giant and flies all over the scales like a god. I'm appalled by how these guys, Vai, Malmsteen, Satriani, Wylde, Gilbert, etc, pay tribute to everybody BUT Steve Howe. Seriously!
Good point because I was commenting on the song Time Again saying its like Yngwie before there was Yngwie Malmsteen and I'm a big fan of his since 1984. I was 15 back in Miami when Asia debut album was released. I got the album and amazed how good it is. Before it was Yes and Kansas that were pioneers of Prog Rock. Also Genesis of course. I think they know of Steve Howe but maybe fail to mention his importance and influence. They would be sheltered not to know how great Steve Howe is.
@@PaulC39 There was nobody and still there's nobody else like Steve Howe, even among the prog bands he's unmatched, but Yes is complicated, "progressive rock" is just a label, their song is beyond our time and beyond our world, I'm gonna leave at there. As for the other virtuoso guys, they DO KNOW about Steve Howe, make no mistakes, but they don't talk about him because he never had the batshit-crazy-satanic rockstar stereotype and he didn't live like this, so they don't feel attracted by his music. Except for that guy from Dream Theater, John Petrucci or something.
Que lindos recuerdos que nunca volveran
