Wow ... just watched Rick Beato's terrific breakdown of the original track, then jumped over here. I completely did not expect to hear such a brilliant, grooving, rock-solid and gorgeous live performance like this. I mean, TFF has always been one of my favorite bands, but I never thought I'd hear them so tight at this stage of their career. Just beautiful. What a band. So glad TFF is back on tour and making brilliant new music again. "The Tipping Point" is another amazing collection that hits hard in so many ways.
Yeah, I just watched Rick Beato's breakdown of this song earlier today too. I've always loved this song, but the way he broke it down really made me appreciate it even more for the true genius that it is. I really enjoyed this live version too, and I'm a little surprised at how amazing they still are at this stage in their career. I'm thrilled that they are touring again even though I probably won't get to see them.
Thank You Joe and bless all the Fan we are.. The Band is looking f** great and still (nu) waving so fabulous ! Notice to you, i baught their last LP's and it is 'turning back' to the essential ^^. They still sound great and I personally think the 80's was the best time for music and so many classic songs and bands/ artists are still going strong.
It sure does. How I wish we could turn back the clock to the good old (bad old) days. I was 17, an infantry junior leader in the Kings regiment, having the time of my life.
Their later albums, including the one from 2022, are all great. They have really only improved over the years. Check out Elemental, Happy Ending, and Tipping Point. All excellent! And of course, Seeds Of Love is a stone cold masterpiece too.
@@iron_rain_band yeah I basically agree. I think it suffers a little on the back half. I think it's their "worst" album, but it's still amazingly good. Man, Roland is seriously a genius.
@@philliplogansr6993, as a guy nearing 70, I have lived through every music generation from Elvis and the Beatles through today. I have said for a long time now that the 80's, relative to any other decade had the best collection of different genres of music and talent. So much of what was made then holds up so well today. This song is a perfect example.
The 80s music rocks! I was in my 20s and was so fortunate to have been able to travel the world. Now at 58 this song makes me feel 20-something again. 😍😘❤️ Love this band.
Remembering my yellow am/fm radio. This song would come on and it was the best 3+ minutes of My life. In those days you couldn’t rewind a Song. True legends.
They're really talented but leave it at that. Songs from the big Chair was epic. No top of all time or anything but really good solid music, and NO, it's not auto tune. It's good music

I was a teenager in the '80s and adored Tears for Fears. It's awesome to see they're still performing at the very high level that they always have. This song is a timeless classic for a reason. 38 years after its release and it still sounds fresh and exciting. Perhaps it's an old man thing to say, but it geniunely sounds better to me than any of the modern songs in the Top 40 charts today. Thank you, Tears for Fears, for the decades of joy and emotion I have derived from your music.
Shocked to see Tears for Fears still rocking after all these years!!! Their powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics still carries loud and clear hearing them again. They don't need stupid backup dancers or ridiculous pyrotechnics to enhance their performance. They play and they sing...simply awesome. I thank God I grew up in the 80s when MTV was MTV and when we had incredible music that will last a long, long time.
That’s comparing to genres that are specifically meant for that. Sometimes screaming is what people want to hear. Music is opinionated, there is not “best music”
I like bands that scream, I love tears for fears just as much as I love bands like Green Day or the Ramones, Rock music is great, I miss hearing it on the radio
"like artists today" as said by EVERYONE that think their generation had the only good music. Go watch any song from the last 70 years on youtube and half the comments will be about how music these days is trash in comparison. Even songs made less than 10 years ago people claim the exact same thing. Let people enjoy what they enjoy, just like those before your time should have.
I grew up in the '80's, I was a metal head and still am. When Mtv came out, and played music videos, you sat thru many other styles of music. I grew to love new wave, and the new romantic music, ABC, Human league, etc. I love these guys to death. What a time to be a teenager, the clothes, movies, hair, and yeah, the music. This was from the movie "Real Genius" with Val Kilmer. Sometimes I really want to go back!! I miss those days!!

The most amazing REAL music written and performed by talented real musicians. No autotune rubbish, no computer assistance. I was a teenager growing up in the 80s when this song (and all the others by TFF) came out and they just never grow old. Just so good to hear them now, 40 years on - still sounding just as good as ever!
Isnt the keyboard a synth they are using? Synths are used a lot today they just happen to be connected to a computer so basically nothing much has really changed.
@@71calex I believe the bass on EWTRTW was originally recorded using a synthesizer. As for the vocals on *this* performance, it’s quite possible that autotune was used.
I’m from USA. One of my fondest memories was in the Dublin Ireland standing on a street corner and hearing this song coming out of a record store. I looked over at my traveling companion and we smiled and nodded “yeah me too”. Priceless

That includes anyone listing cashapp links and other bank account links on their youtube channel or asking for donations. Lev. was translated wrong billy graham. Refering to pedophilia. "Men shall not molest young boys." Delete or reject the messages sent from the messenger of Malachi 3:1 and you reject Jesus Christ Herself and choose to die with the wicked. Malachi 2 proves Malachi 3:8 is prophetic instruction for the thieving church leaders to bring back the money they were never supposed to take for ministering and God will end Covid. Every major church around the world knew this since August of 2020 but they LOVE MONEY so much they chose to kill everyone with Covid instead of returning it! James 5:2 Rich people are NOT Christians and the wealth they selfishly kept to themselves will only be used as evidence to burn them. The 2 witnesses are righteousness and judgement, not actual people. There is no ONE antichrist; it was made up by people that worship money. Stay out of the fake churches or you will die with them and their lies. In order to be a church, the place must house people inside it. Otherwise it's another private money-making business serving satan and part of Babylon. There is no such thing as rapture. Jesus comes back to rule. God's people are caught up spiritually... Romans is not referring to Eunuchs where one partner is transgender. Mathew 19:12 🏳️🌈 Eunuchs that are born that way are transgender. It's even in the Bible. Yes, the bible was written by bigoted men and is way outdated and was changed and should be thrown out. But even Jesus spoke about transgender people. Eunuchs made that way by others were abused (it doesn't happen to everyone that is abused). Those that choose to live like Eunuchs FOR THE SAKE OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN are bisexual people that choose partners of the same sex characteristics but opposite in regards to gender. Notice, God PREFERS for people to be in LGBT relationships. Eunuchs are same sex couples. One partner is transgender. Transgender is when someone is born with a gender opposite the sex characteristics normally associated with that gender. God made us male or female, determined by gender, located in the brain. Your gender is located in your brain and determined at birth. I have an identical twin sister that is female in gender. I am male in gender. I am Elijah of Malachi 4:5-6 and that means any discrepancies in the bible are ultimately decided by me. Plus, it states in Deuteronomy that nobody was castrated back then. And that doesn't make sense anyhow. No one is born castrated and no one is born making the decision to be celibate. But, that is what God wanted the lying preachers to think so they wouldn't take it out of the bible. Intersex people still have one gender or another because gender is located in your brain. And Acts 3:22-23 says it will come to pass that anyone that fails to listen to me will be utterly destroyed from among the people. So anyone that says different than this won't be here much longer. It's everyone's choice. Anyone teaching the LIE of monetary tithing or getting paid in any way to minister will also die with the wicked. Peter 2:9 says we are ALL ministers . . . . Jesus was transgender and will return as a woman..... Remember, Malachi 3:8-12 is talking to the thieving church leaders. It's the answer to end Covid and every major church around the world has known this since August of 2020 but they LOVE MONEY so much, they INTENTIONALLY CHOSE to kill everyone instead of returning it. My preaching will lead to a universal monthly income for everyone. If church leaders dont repent, they won't be here to see it. Their choice . . . .. .. By the way, Jesus, david, and Joseph were all transgender and Jesus will return as a woman. Prophets said my wedding is already paid for and will be broadcasted all over the world... !!! WORLD PEACE IS COMING !!! ...........

I really enjoyed this live version too, and I'm a little surprised at how amazing they still are at this stage in their career. I'm thrilled that they are touring again even though I probably won't get to see them.
I'm happy they're still around. They're a great band.❤☺🎸🎶👍
Thank You Joe and bless all the Fan we are..
The Band is looking f** great and still (nu) waving so fabulous !

They still sound great and I personally think the 80's was the best time for music and so many classic songs and bands/ artists are still going strong.
Most people's favorite decade depends on how old they are. I was born in '67 so the 80s is probably my favorite but the 50s are also my favorite.

I love how they are performing the exact song, not yelling like artists today. They are so original
That’s comparing to genres that are specifically meant for that. Sometimes screaming is what people want to hear. Music is opinionated, there is not “best music”
@@iamabuu1575 That is true, I do agree with you too
I like bands that scream, I love tears for fears just as much as I love bands like Green Day or the Ramones, Rock music is great, I miss hearing it on the radio

Underrated by who? When?
The most amazing REAL music written and performed by talented real musicians. No autotune rubbish, no computer assistance. I was a teenager growing up in the 80s when this song (and all the others by TFF) came out and they just never grow old. Just so good to hear them now, 40 years on - still sounding just as good as ever!
Isnt the keyboard a synth they are using? Synths are used a lot today they just happen to be connected to a computer so basically nothing much has really changed.
That's right!...great...I was walking by East River, New York City
I'm pretty sure autotune and technology played a big part in this video. Did you see Curt play bass? no? Yet there was a bass line wasn't there.

@@71calex I believe the bass on EWTRTW was originally recorded using a synthesizer. As for the vocals on *this* performance, it’s quite possible that autotune was used.

Anyone teaching the LIE of monetary tithing, selling the gospel in any way, collecting money for ministering in any way whatsoever, anyone teaching same sex marriage is a sin when it is NOT, rich people, unrepentant rapists, lying police people, corrupt judges, and all other unrepentant evil people will be in the GREAT TRIBULATIONS - begins September 1 of this year! That includes anyone listing cashapp links and other bank account links on their youtube channel or asking for donations.
Lev. was translated wrong billy graham. Refering to pedophilia. "Men shall not molest young boys."
Delete or reject the messages sent from the messenger of Malachi 3:1 and you reject Jesus Christ Herself and choose to die with the wicked.
Mathew 19:12
🏳️🌈 Eunuchs that are born that way are transgender.

Como no entenderlo!!! Siento lo mismo.
