Hi Everyone and Welcome Back to My Bucolic Life Channel. Meet my new sewing project.
My daughter Morgan wanted a long sequined ethereal gown for getting photos done. I had just over 48 hours to complete it. Lots of finicky fabric issues and pattern modifications later it was on its way across the country to her.

What a beautiful dress for your daughter. I have a son, so I never got to make pretty, glittery things. However, I now have a very girly granddaughter, so I'm hoping to get the chance in the future. It occurred to me that the tuck you made in the bodice would take a drawstring if the elastic isn't strong enough. 💙

The end result looks very beautiful on your daughter. A very challenging fabric to sew, though. So hats off to you for not letting this problem get you down.
I wonder why you didn't make the cuffs with the lining fabric instead of the fusible interfacing. In fact, I would have made a very narrow cuff from the lining fabric, into which you could have let the elastic run, so that it is more comfortable for the skin on the wrist. And why you didn't trim the layers of the first seam at the waist so that the whole thing doesn't look as thick (that's what you usually do:)? The solution of the fork pleats for the sleeves is excellent and I thank you for the tip to fold them respectively backwards and forwards for a nicer effect.

Have you ever replaced a zipper in a lined dress
Yes. And then I had a nice glass of wine. I don't think I have a video on replacement zippers, though. Just take your time and baste by hand if you need to.
That dress is beautiful and Morgan looks gorgeous in it. That glittery fabric must have been so very difficult to work with not to mention the mess. Bravo to you! Now, take a rest. You deserve it. You always make everything work no matter how difficult. 👗🧵🪡
