Yes, very springy. You make collars look easy. I like watching you make them over and over so my brain will get thoroughly programed! This came out lovely as always.
You always find the best fabrics! That coat is going to be perfect for spring. Glad thing you spotted the side splits before to become a job to get them open. Unpacking is such a drag. (Says she who willingly spent the evening unpicking an entire dress to repurpose the fabric 🤦🏼♀️😂 )
Hi Marie, thank you so much for doing this tutorial. On your live video, I had requested a trench coat as a tutorial and you did it. I'm going on a sewing retreat and didn't think you would do this in time for me to follow your instructions. Woo Hoo for me. My pattern is a free Mood pattern that I really like as it has princess seams; however, I'm going to see if this pattern is still available and follow your instructions. It's my first coat!!!! I am Zoraya Luna and I am very grateful🤗.
Love it the colours make it nice to wear with all kinds of colours. Goid idea making it larger and the arms if your wearing a sweater. Love love it. Thanks Anita Canada 🇨🇦
Hi Marie, i haven't commented on the MANY videos ive watched of yours, but i appreciate and have learned SO much from you! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. Love your machines too. I have 3 from the 50s :). They r the best!
Oh my goodness!! I have to admit that I had a 'reaction' when you initially displayed your choice of fabric. But that coat could not be more cute or delightful on you!! Just gorgeous!
Loving the fabric you’ve chosen! It’s reminding me of spring & summer blooms. Your Rosie is so pretty and has got some speed. That knee lifter will be great for quilting projects. Such a pretty spring trench jacket you’ve created! Good call on the sleeves & length adjustments. Looks great. 🎊
Home dec fabric always surprises me. I'll never make a trench coat, but still watched every minute. 😂Don't want to miss a new skill I might see along the way. Thanks Marie!
I was watching the video about the Gunne Sax dress, and I wanted to tell you that I had one of those original dresses, it was a darker green and the floral was about the same size, but it was all off white. The lace was off white too. This was 1976, when I wore that dress to my second marriage.
Just came across and reviweing your videos! Great, instructions for all levels of sewists! I always line my patch pockets. Either self material, somethung lighter or a non stretch to stabalize. I sew right sides together leaving usuall an opening in bottom seam that get s closed stitching on. I have also sewn all around and slit lining in middle and turn then whip stitch the slit. Just depends on material. I never thought to do both sideseam and patch pockets! Great idea for winter jackets!
Oh my gosh! I see spring coming! What an awesome job and you look stunning in that trench, can’t wait to see what you pair with it later in spring. Thanks so much
Love it ❣️ I actually have the pattern. Now I’m sure mine will be sewn professionally. Thank you for your details and not assuming that ‘we already know’. I’ve learned many lessons since I’ve been watching you. One major lesson was it’s ok to stop and not finish fast. I can’t tell you when I had my ‘ah ha’ moment .. it was one of those times you said..’ it’s the next day’ I don’t know why that was so freeing to me but it was. Thank you for not rushing and trying to be the whatever everybody else is trying to be…all I know…I unsubscribed on some because it’s too much. Thank you for being authentically you. Happy New Year ❣️ in case I didn’t say.. the trench is 🔥🤣
It is gorgeous and looks great on you. Do you think you could line the coat, or would you choose a different pattern? I have learned so much from watching your tutorials that my sewing skills have really improved. Thank you, take care and have a good day.
What a great spring jacket (coat). Looks like a great piece to add to your wardrobe. Question... The table you have Rosie in, is that your new sewing table that you ordered? Looks like a really nice table.
Love the coat! Off topic: What kind of material did you use to enclose your porch? Clear plastic? A fabric of some sort? We are looking for something for ours.

That's exactly what I do!
Marie, this just blew me away! The fabric and coat are gorgeous! I, like others, live for your tutorials!

Just lovely!
The jaçket is very nice.
It's truly a pleasure to watch you sew. You've inspired me to try my hand at a needlecord simple jacket 😊
I have this trench coat pattern as well & i ❤ it
Love this.
Very pretty and well fitting coat! You've motivated me to make it now! Thank you! Great video!!
What a cute coat! Love it. I have to eliminate the belt and use buttons. Belted garments crawl up on me for some reason. You wear it well tho.
This looks amazing and the colours are so pretty thanks for sharing ❤

Good afternoon!

Sure, you could line it!

That table was custom made for her :)

Hi, it is actually for roofing. The clear "skylight" panels for a metal shop roof. Works fabulous.
Beautiful Coat! What type of iron do you use/recommend?
I have a rapid steam gravity iron from Wawa.com
