I’m really worried about King’s dad. When we saw him at the end of Eda’s Requiem, he seemed so surprised and presumably thrilled. Now he seems evil and I’m concerned for King.
He might not even be King's father. The version of King's father in the mural on the island was gigantic, hinting that he could use magic to make himself big. At the same time, this could be a royal advisor that had no idea King even survived. What if he came to bring King a letter from his father or even notes on his own species. And even if this is his father, perhaps he's nervous about meeting his son, especially now that King has made it legal that he's adopted by Eda. Fear has a habit of making people do stupid things.

Eda totally had the best story out of the three! Lumity becoming an official couple is just so adorable 🥰 Kings story was a great vehicle for learning a bit more about demons had a whole and he has voice powers (which I will unofficially call Echo powers because I think that is a better title for it). Season 2 has been knocking it out of the park with each episode!
I think like the part where eda turns to the owl beast while fighting “the collector” was actually the owl beasts back story and how it got stuck in the paper, I don’t think that part really had to do something with eda

Separate tides Escaping expulsion Echoes of the past Keeping up A-Fear-Ances Through the looking glass ruins Hunting palismen Eda’s requiem Knock knock knockin’ on Hooty’s door Eclipse lake Yesterday’s lie
A thing that I noticed in this ep and at 10:51 in this video is the many pics on a board and the one behind Hooty is a pic with the Owl Beast and this is backing up the theory at 7:44
Ahhhh perfect timing. Just finished the episode. Gotta have that Roundtable Anaylsis!!!! But yeah, for an episode I'm sure many of us thought would be filler... this was one of the best of the season!
As a person who’s always liked Hooty, I was SO SO SO happy to get an episode kinda focused on him! It was great to see him help the other members of The Owl House, even greater to see the results of him helping out!
I like how king got to learn more about himself The owl lady literally excepted her demon and gave us more Information on her past and Luz and Amity are now official a couple
Eda has the most important storyline I think Eda will use the curse to corrupt magic and new found transformation to fly, scratch and do some funny birds stuff.
There was so much character development and even screen time that words cant do it justice it reminded me of the 3 character story episodes of good luck Charlie. Hats down one of the best episodes so far.
I've been thinking. The painting of Kings father and the one we saw in the end of this episode looks to different. So what if that's not his dad. But instead his dads teacher. The one who helped his dad learn more powers. And he'll be doing the same for king later this season while helping king learn more about himself and the kinda demon he truly is. :)
Maybe the boiling Isles is one of the worlds the Calamity box can take you to, and maybe each world has its own Calamity box, and that's how Anne and the Plantars are going to get back to Amphibia.
God, Eda’s dream sequence was so well done. The scene with Eda tied to the owl beast on the beach had me bawling. Also, Hooty’s breakdown at the end made me cry too. The scene of him forcing himself out the door just straight up looked like the Hooty-equivalent of self harm. This episode was such a ride, and was probably my favorite episode of the series as of now. Also, seeing Lumity become official and kind of getting confirmation that King isn’t a normal demon were both incredible as well.
It's awesome that we got some many plot points and developments in one episode, but it also makes me sad as they each could have been their own episodes and likely were planned to have been their own episodes for each point before the series got cut short
After seeing the clip of Luz asking out Amity earlier this week, I knew I had to finally start watching The Owl House. After binging in the span of like 4 days, I am now so excited to see more theories and breakdowns. I'm also super excited because it means I have more stuff to watch on The Roundtable since I haven't really gotten into a cartoon since SUF ended. Coming back to this channel is like coming back to an old friend. Incredibly comforting.
@@shadowkuma66 yeah, but there’s a reason for that. Gus is nice, sure, but he isn’t one of the best characters, so it’s easy for him to get overshadowed. This didn’t happen to Eda for example, everyone is talking about how amazing it was that she made a truce with the owl beast and gained that cool form. And it didn’t happen to Hooty neither, as I said before
This episode was amazing. At first I thought it was gonna focus on Hooty but this was a great episode to give development for everyone instead of having separate episodes for each character. This entire episode was wholesome af😌💕
Each of the 3 storylines has very deep sympolism on their own. Starting with King: I think the story symbolises the struggling of identity a lot of teenagers go through, usually in their teenage (demon puberty) years where identity is something people reflect more over (especially adopted children wich is what I think king getting officially adopted in the previous episode might symbolise also). Hooty's atempts to figure out what King actually is and him getting increasingly upset symbolises that sometimes getting concrete answers isn't allways the best thing. The "you are you" thing is symbolism that it is up to you to shape your identity no matter where you come from or who you are. Onto Eda: Eda's story is about not blaming your problems on something else and instead of fleeing from your problems rather than trying to solve them. Eda blames the curse, symbolizing any issue a person can have the hinders them in any way. Her wounding her father isn't really about physical injury but rather emotional rifts creating tensions and family but rather than staying with her father she runs away and blames the curse for not staying and the same thing happens with Raine Whispers. Eda accepting the owl beast as a part of her is her finally working on her issues rather than running awy from them and then blaming them from everything going wrong. I think Eda will have an arch whre she will mend the damaged ralationships with her father and Raine. Lastly Luz and Amity: Luz represents the mindset that asking someone out needs to be perfect which is what usually stops people from asking each other out (Been there myself) and making them forget that love is usually akward in the begining and nothing is perfect. With reference to season 1 where luz says something along the lines of that people in the human world sees her as a weird noobody it shows that she is doesn't really think anyone can love her which is also why she probably has been oblivious to amity crushing on her for the past 24 or so episodes. Luz also represents idolizing the one you like by thinking Amity is too cool for a the tunel of love and not really know what part of her personality she likes and thinking her "weirdness" something she dislikes. However in the end Luz realises it her being herself is what amity likes.(Also the tunnle of love I think is a metaphore for not being sure what to do when in love) Amity represents the fear of loosing a friendship or the potential friendship because you fall in love that person (Been there myself too) and by this point she doesn't know that Luz likes her and is afraid that asking her out will destroy their friendship if Luz would reject her. In the end she can't hold it in and Ask Luz out which shows that it is better to just aks than to be afraid of what will happen.
In order for Lumity to be canon it…..had a steep price 😔 for both the season and episode are cut. I think there’s a chance when the series ends it won’t show up on channel, no reruns only on streaming
@@Blank123-u7m I’m afraid so 😔 Disney can say anything supportive towards LGBT content but at the end of the day they can only hinted it in their shows nothing more so Dana is making the most of his contact with Disney but I personally feel that it might bring more trouble to the series. Remember Disney is global and there are some nations that have heavy restrictions on LGBT that it needs to be censored or cut and there are some people in the U.S are against as well, it’s a shame society hasn’t developed much at all 😔
I don't think the owlbeast scroll was ever a curse. Since the magic doesn't behave like any known curse in the Demon Realm. Perhaps its a unique form of wild magic developed by this collector in order to subdue and well "collect" powerful and unique demons throughout the isles. And when lilith used the scroll she messed with the magic by reading it wrong. Binding the beast as you would bind a curse to an individual. The reason no healing magic can reverse this, is because it's probably got a totally unique spell makeup.
As someone who highly relates to Eda and her curse I literally cry every time she comes to terms with her curse and looks up at the colors in her dream. I'm also working on coming to terms with my chronic illnesses and embracing it as a part of me, in a way they kinda force me to live a healthier lifestyle, and its hard and exhausting but still works. They've definitely changed my life in many ways but I hope I can use it more than be controlled by it. Also totally considering getting a tattoo that in some way represents my connection with Eda and her curse.
This honestly was one of if not my favorite episode of the series!!! It always takes the annoying yet lovable outcast that is close w the main characters but not enough to shake things loose and move the story forward a bit
I love the story arc of Eda and her curse, is similar to my relationship with my anxiety, family caused and in certain way I generated pain to them (not as much as them but still), I tried to scape from every meltdown, act as everything is all right while my whole world was breaking. Even now that I am better, I am not OK, I still need my meds and time to time it gets me (uni is not the best for mental health) but now is not a "curse" is just a part of me that I have to live with, just like my resistance to sense pain or temperature. I love that the next generation will have this show, because they won't have to suffer as much as I did.
This episode was awesome also instead of a petition for a longer season 3 i have an idea that Disney cannot refuse an owl house movie titled Owl House The Day Of Unity this movie would tie up loose ends and continue and finish the story with no interruption
Tales of Ba Sing Se? I'm really seeing Avatar references EVERYWHERE now. Even sometimes in completely unrelated videos (that aren't even about cartoons) as well as in random Facebook posts! It's funny because I only watched the show last month for the first time ever, and I chose to do so randomly, there was no particular reason I chose now other than needing a new cartoon when I caught up with Amphibia and The Owl House. And now suddenly Avatar is everywhere XD
I was expecting Vox to have a bigger opening statement since this was a bombshell of an episode and he usually starts these off with, "Holy s**t you guys!".
One detail that I haven't seen other people pointing out yet was that when hooty was talking to King about beast demons, you can see a diagram of the owl beast rig behind him. This may imply that owl beast can exist outside of dreams and curses, since blood samples are the supposed only way to test if demons are classified as beasts. Although, this diagram may have been added in by one of our protagonists, as they may have got a blood test while eda was transformed, or they just assumed that it was a beast, hence the name "Owl Beast"
My theory is the reason ida’s curse ran loose when her dad used the fireworks is because when the curse was hunted with those exact explosives. Same as her breakup the words from the curses hunter they say it’s over like how ida’s ex did

@@dontreadmypicture719 ok i wont. Your welcome
It was too adorable for me.
In my head cannon the tunnel of love was made by hooty for Raine and Eda, but it was never used so he reused it for Luz.
eda's new form is a TOP TIER design, its up there with the conductor (infinity train) and the lich (Adventure Time)
Did You Know: the red string on Eda's leg is called the red string of fate in Japanese legend, if two people are connected by the string, they are destined to be together
Haha! I wasn't the only one to catch that.
Japanese red string!
So... this is what, the second time Mae Whitman has played a character who winds up in a secret tunnel with her love interest?
What was the first time?

I'm just loving the continuity of the owl house this season every episode builds off each other so well
THIS SHOW IS DEFINITELY NOT DISAPPOINTING
Anyone still shocked that Luz called amity a “cotton candy haired goddess”? Like damn her feelings her clear lol.
No knows talking about hooty
1- he drug eda
2-he kidnapped king and amity
3-he almost got king amity Luz killed
4-he ate THE LETTER AT THE ENDD
And to think, she was so oblivious in season 1😂
@@robotickiddo97 yeah, but his crimes, I mean, plans kinda worked out in the end, so people were worshiping him. And lets be honest, those crimes aren’t much for a citizen of the Boiling Isles, they must be pretty used to danger
I feel like the fandom is going to completely ignore Hooty in this episode because of Lumity. Like, I've never been the biggest fan of Hooty, but after this episode, I've come to appreciate him more
But he canonized it, all hail the bird-worm-house, all hail the bringer of adorkableness!
Hooty: Pulls out King’s powers, makes Eda a harpy, makes lumity canon.
Me: Hooty, you genius!
Hooty: Eats King’s letter.
Me: Hooty, you… genius…
He's literally the cause of 3 of the biggest plot developments of the season. He doesn't get ignored he's just the character that's a gag most of the time and probably a plot device
Just like Gus in The Looking Glass Ruins :(
@@Nykerian13 you missed the "by the fandom" part of OP's statement.
I’m really worried about King’s dad. When we saw him at the end of Eda’s Requiem, he seemed so surprised and presumably thrilled. Now he seems evil and I’m concerned for King.
@@dontreadmypicture719 ?
He might not even be King's father. The version of King's father in the mural on the island was gigantic, hinting that he could use magic to make himself big. At the same time, this could be a royal advisor that had no idea King even survived. What if he came to bring King a letter from his father or even notes on his own species. And even if this is his father, perhaps he's nervous about meeting his son, especially now that King has made it legal that he's adopted by Eda. Fear has a habit of making people do stupid things.

i personally don't think he was evil considering he called king a clawthorne and accepted the fact that king is not his child anymore but eda's now
That could have been the type of envelopes King's people use. Also, black isn't always associated with "evil." It can mean mystery and the unknown.

I feel like Hootsifer is a reference to Calcifer from Howl's Moving Castle. They are both demons, both are the workhorses of powerful witches and both are used to power/backbone a house
Not to mention it is directly referenced with the title "Hooty's moving Hassle"
Am I late to this? Was this super obvious?
No it’s not obvious until you pointed it out and Howls Moving Castle is my favorite Studio Ghibli movie
Eda totally had the best story out of the three! Lumity becoming an official couple is just so adorable 🥰 Kings story was a great vehicle for learning a bit more about demons had a whole and he has voice powers (which I will unofficially call Echo powers because I think that is a better title for it). I think like the part where eda turns to the owl beast while fighting “the collector” was actually the owl beasts back story and how it got stuck in the paper, I don’t think that part really had to do something with eda
he actually said that in the video!
I seen someone point this out in a video similar to this one, but I will put it here too. The first letter of the first 10 episodes of season 2 spells out an interesting clue.

Although I felt the most hype during luz’s part I think Edas is most important to the story and her arc
This is by far my favorite episode from season 2 right now.

Eda has the most important storyline
I think Eda will use the curse to corrupt magic and new found transformation to fly, scratch and do some funny birds stuff.
Never have I gone from rooting for a birb tube to writhing in disappointing agony so fast after finishing the ep.😭
There was so much character development and even screen time that words cant do it justice it reminded me of the 3 character story episodes of good luck Charlie. Hats down one of the best episodes so far.

Anyone else notice when Amity mentioned that Hooty is possibly thousands of years old?
I wonder if Lilith will get the same upgrade considering she has half of the curse.
I love the questions in the echo mouse scene that says what’s in between so much lore theory there
I've been thinking.
Literally when I heard Luz ask Aminty out it sounded like she was proposing to her

0:49 This scene made me realise how nice Amity's legs are
I just started this show the other week and got caught up just in time for this episode. Best choice of the year so far
It's awesome that we got some many plot points and developments in one episode, but it also makes me sad as they each could have been their own episodes and likely were planned to have been their own episodes for each point before the series got cut short
i highly doubt that, there's simply not enough content there.
Season 3 was cut short long after season 2 was in progress, that’s just not possible.
It's good to know King can actually pull his weight in a fight now.
the ending gave me the most violent, physical reaction ive ever had in any show to ever exist.
When you get an episode focused on yourself but realise Lumity is gonna appear and overshadow you lol.....
Hooty wasn’t overshadowed at all. People are talking a lot about him
@@eu4083 It was a joke bruh and it kinda is true for Gus's epidode so yeah
@@shadowkuma66 yeah, but there’s a reason for that. Gus is nice, sure, but he isn’t one of the best characters, so it’s easy for him to get overshadowed. And it didn’t happen to Hooty neither, as I said before

I've never gone from loving a character to hating one so quick in my entire life
What character
I love the fact that they did Lumity this early. I also really like how they did three storys without it feeling rushed to get to the end.

Is Lumity the reason why season 3 is cut short?

I love all the story of King, Eda, and Luz and Amity!
Also gay representation and NB representation.
This episode was awesome also instead of a petition for a longer season 3 i have an idea that Disney cannot refuse an owl house movie titled Owl House The Day Of Unity this movie would tie up loose ends and continue and finish the story with no interruption
