*Hunter falls in love with Luz*
I think I realized something about why Eda was having trouble with her Harpy form.... she was treating the Owl Beast as a super power or a weapon rather than treating it like a living sentient co-pilot in her psyche.
So … she’s basically the Hulk?
@@katrose5179 Well, yes, actually.
@@justinriley maybe we’ll see a Professor Hulk type deal.
It also reminds me of Venom from the new marvel movie but Eda's Owl beast is less agressive

Amity was so tragic this episode
She’s so used to her abusive mother that she’s desperate for approval. That’s the same reason why she wanted to be the #1 student in her first appearance and now she’s dealing with those same issues with Luz. She’s afraid of being rejected and thrown away even though Luz would never do that
The love she got from her mother was always conditional. She always felt that she had to prove that she was worthy of loving. And it really was tragic to see her feel like she had to prove to Luz that she was worthy of loving even though she knows Luz isn’t like that. That kind of abuse goes so deep.
@@penne4107 agreed. It felt like an exaggeration when I first watched the episode that Amity would be afraid of being tossed away that easily by Luz but it makes so much sense given her past.

Dana stating that Season 2 would be closer to what she originally envisioned for the series at large is a testament to how amazing she and her crew are at what they do.

My theory:
Not long after entering the demon realm, Philip met Kikimora, who became infatuated (maybe obsessed) with him. Philip lived the rest of his life there, but his death may have effected Kiki enough to where she created the original Grimwalker clone of Philip who would become Emperor Belos who would in turn create Hunter.
I firmly believe Kiki is the catalyst for the end of the savage ages, helping Belos cover up history and make it seem as if these “savage ages” were actually bad when in reality they weren’t. This would lead to the Covens and Belos’ current rule. Although his memories could be fragmented due to the Grimwalker cloning process not being perfect
Kikimora sold everyone out either for a crush or to get ahead for herself. Yup that tracks.
oh dang i never thought of that. im really liking that theory
I do think Belos is a body that contains Philip's memories, maybe even soul, but I didn't think Kikimora to be one of the main reason this happened.
.
If Belos was actually Philip, maybe he was just trying to go back home and created the coven system so that witches grew weaker and not have enough power to threaten the human realm, if ever witches also stumbles into the human realm like he suddenly finding himself in the boiling isles.
Meh. This is a theory that makes Belos not the ultimate evil...

I noticed alot of people pointing out Amity's(who also voiced Katara from Avatar)vial of abomination magic was like a reference to Katara's vial of spirit water she got in Seige of the North.

I think it's more like her leather pouch she straps around her waist rather than the vial of spirit water, because she only used that to heal aang
and then a scarred up young male character betrays he later in the same episode.
I love how Amity wanted to prove that she was the best girlfriend to Luz, when she really had nothing to prove.
yea.. even if she let go of her past, she still thinks she needs to constantly prove herself, even tho she doesn't need too.
Ikr, i get that its probably just the author giving all the homophobes the middle finger but in universe it does not make sense
@@Pablo_Martin_aa but it does make sense. Amity's mother is emotionally abusive. Her love always came with strings attached. Amity constantly had to prove herself in order to earn her mother's love and affection. Amity is trying to wrap her head around the concept of "unconditional love", the kind Luz has. Its not just a metaphor for homophobia, but also showing the trauma this kind of abuse can bring
Agreed

Considering the series is slowly introducing ingredients to PRODUCE a grimwalker, it gives me the feeling that Hunter MAY not actually be the grinwalker. My assumption is due to the fact that they wouldn't need to have all these ingredients coincidentally appear in the episodes unless somebody was going to MAKE a grimwalker. So- what if the diagram of the red eyes wasn't referring to the fact that grimwalkers HAD red eyes, but RATHER that red eyes are a REQUIREMENT to CREATE the grimwalker? This would mean that Hunter is a sacrifice to create whatever this grimwalker is, and even more so why he is so important to the Titan's plans. The grimwalker could be a body for the titan maybe?
Omg thats a great theory!!!
Uhh.... that really makes a lot of sense and i-
Sorry, but as writing this, what if Hunter survives getting his eyes torn out and instead just goes blind. Becoming a sorta Toph for this world. (Only in the sense of being blind and using special abilities to get around and fight. They are in no way the same any other way.)
this could totally be true!! i also felt the name grimwalker was a little too ominous sounding for the nerdy little hunter!
like Kurapika lol I like your theory
Okay but wait, what if the reason the cardinal has a scar over it’s eye is to foreshadow Hunter losing (at least) an eye???
1) I like how Amity's character arc is still primarily motivated by her 'Little Miss Perfect'-esque family expectations. Even the constant proclamations of 'oh, we're gfs now' are still part of her gotta-be-the-best conditioning, and it hasn't all been subsumed by her status as the heroine's love interest. The conversation she has trying to bond with Hunter isn't necessarily dependent on the romance arc and would've worked even if Knocking on Hooty's door hadn't happened.
2) My predictions for Luz's palsiman are, in this order: 1) Bat (for maximum Lumity theming bonus) 2) Snake 3) Griffon 4) Spider, 5) some amalgamation of all the above.
Amity create a abomination that takes the shape of a ghost and engulfs hunter. She never made a ghost abomination before so I think it is because of her palisman being named ghost. Also the “light” like magic we see hunter uses is power from his palisman and only his palisman which shows that when ever eda and Lilith use the non coven magic or “light” like magic it is from their palisman. This explains a lot. Also not only do we see that the “light” and non coven magic is from palisman powers but we see that when a witch uses their palisman the magic that they use represents their palisman (Lilith a raven, eda an owl, and amity a ghost because that’s the name of her white cat).
So how would you describe Hunter’s Cardinal🐦 palismen? His magic is teleportation, elemental magic and shooting magical energy blasts. How does that relate to a cardinal?
@@trust_the_process4007 He just started using his cardinal palisman, and they're just starting to connect. There's some time before we see this come to fruition, if at all. Patience!
@@trust_the_process4007 when hunter teleports you can hear a bird sound. Which could be his palissmen being represented in his magic.

Lilith, Kikimora and Hunter getting upset and slowly lost their minds when they couldnt give what the emperor wants or needed them to get really makes me more scared of him, now that we know how he looks like.
I think them lossing it is because Below gains their trust by uses their wants and insecurities as a mean make working for him more pleasing. Like how he promises to help Lilith if he works for him, and if they continue to work without getting their desired outcome, it makes them think that they aren't working hard enough building up more and more stress. This is just me guessing tho, but I think this is why those three were so on edge.

Am I the only one who thought how odd it was of how open Kiki was open about her hate and plotting against Hunter? Like, she's not even being subtle that she has it out for the Emperor's nephew and her superior. These aren't even like coven heads or elite agents she's telling this to, these are just ordinary grunts. And she's just blatantly shouting that she wants to get rid of the Golden Guard. Or how fine Kiki and the Guard Captain here were of trying to kill Amity. Amity does hold substantial value to her parents, as well as having value to Luz and her friends, she'd be more useful alive than dead; Kiki could've used her as a bargaining chip or if her parents found out that the Emperor's Coven had something to do with Amity's death it could be a turning point for them, it could've made them snap and go against Belos.
Before the rivalry started spiraling, Kiki would have been more strategic, but now, she has gone insane and is making less and less smart choices.
I really loved this episode- but I do feel like people are giving Amtiy a bit too much credit with her fight.
Amity has pretty much her full head in the fight, and is calm and collected, whereas Hunter is still in the middle of a breakdown, and is using a staff he has no familiarity with.
He even acknowledges that at the end of the episode with the life 'You're strong and I'm tired if this continues you'll probably escape'.
No hate against Amity though, She fought very well and has defiantly improved!
I also am a turther of Grimwalker Belos theory- the green streak on his face has a woody texture- and palistrum woof is used in Grimwalkers
He also (with the magic he's used without his staff) uses magic differently
When I first watched this episode I'd been thinking to myself that we hadn't seen much of Willow or Owlbert so far this season (with this episode being the first of S2 to actually show Owlbert operating independently of his staff, as opposed to S1 where he was regularly shown apart from it). Was pleasantly surprised to see them both get some actual screen time for a change, even if they weren't part of the main plot line.
I'm still holding onto the theory that belos isn't Philip but is related to him.
Fr it sounded like he just quoted what was in philips journal tbh.
I think that belos was one of the people who travel with Phillip to get Titans blood
I think that he is a Grim Walker of Phillip, like it's Phillip's mind in Belos' body.
@@NovelVanguard
That's an interesting one.
Explains why belos has such a grasp of knowledge on the door.
And why he wants to enter the human world.
Magic took his friends so he wants to eliminate almost all magic by unifying both worlds.
That's a good theory
@@Earendilgrey
Again that makes more sense and is more interesting than belos and him simply being one person.
But I was wrong about pink diamond and rose quartz so I'm not going to fully deny it unless we get exact evidence to kill the theory once and for all.
I feel like it's not a coincidence that Amity's palisman is a cat when Luz owns a cat hoodie she's always hiding in.
At the end of this episode Hunter seems like he regrets taking the key, and seems like he trying to figure If he should change or keep trying to prove himself to Belos. It feels like Hunters palisman is trying to help Hunter change, but also helps Hunter achieve his goals while also trying to help Hunter redeem himself.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Rascal/Humbert is likely the Iroh to his Zuko.
That Amity vs Hunter anime battle was honestly my favorite in the show. I absolutely love hunter’s fast dodging teleporting fight style
*The fight mirrors Katara vs Zuko in ATLA! While Amity fights like a waterbender and fighting with a sack of Abomination Fluid! While Hunter is fighting not to disappoint trying to gain his honor!! I love this show!*
I still think they should've gave Belos an eye patch with Luz used her ice magic on his eye. Or at least make his chipped mask permanent
He probably got a new mask the next day, and she didn't fully poke out his eye. A scar by his eye would have been good though
Well the chipped mask being permanent wouldn’t make so much sense considering the fact he breaks his mask in half with his curse like every other day.
Hunter's breakdown hurt my soul, especially considering all of the characters in this episode, except Belos, were putting down and disrespecting my guy
Makes Belos seem like a good guy, huh
I think Below is putting on a front and using the fact others put him down as a way to keep Hunter's loyalty and trust
Honestly, in this episode, he really acted genial and kind
Belos certainly ain't innocent though, Hunter's issues come from somewhere and it's pretty clear it comes from Belos from the way he speaks to Hunter about his preformance and that scene where he launches a plant spike at Hunter and cuts some of his hair. Theres no way Hunter isnt being emotionally and maybe even physically abused by Belos- even despite the "affection" he shows to him sometimes (which often includes hints at his usefulness to the titan, forming the association between usefulness and worthiness of love)
@@kriscrossender4525 I really hate how well he uses him. Acting struct, but knowing when to act kind.
the sad thing is that there are hints that belos physically abuses hunter, my thearory is thats how he got his scar. I WANNA GIVE HUNTER A BIG HUG BUT I CANT BECAUSE HE IS a FICTIONAL CHARACHTER
So going off a limb here. I bet that Hunter's gonna either be redeemed (which is what I'm leaning towards), or he's gonna die.
Hunter has his own palisman, which could aid in a redemption arc, so I think he is probably going to be redeemed, but maybe Dana is just playing with us and Hunter is eventually going to die, and his palisman is going to be consumed by Belos.

i will recapitulate the major events :
In the year 8000 BC, a group of powerful chamans were struggling agains't the Chaos, to answer this problem, they decided to fuse into one powerful and almigthy being : The Emperor. Of course, he wasn't always emperor. His mere prescence was said to calm the storm in the Chaos. He was powerful but he decided to stay in retreat and observe humanity. Meanwhile, humanity discovered space travel and better : Travel by the Chaos (Another dimension where time and space are ... Different).
Everything was well until one day, a big storm occured in the Chaos, isolating humans colonies in the galaxies and destryoing some unlucky worlds. That is when the emperor decided to take action. He created an army of genetically enhanced peoples with the genes of the emperor himself : the soon to be Called SPACE MARINES.
He reunited Terra under his reign and, with him at front, he traveled to the human colonies to reclaim them in the imperium.
He did so and did it well, Creating the imperium of mankind almost as we know it this day.
The emperor was the best, he was humanity at his peak, formidable strength, Incredible psychic power and an iron will.
To extend his armies, he engeneered 20 humans with a bigger part of his genetic : The Primarchs. Unfortunately The gods Of Chaos (Nurgle, Khorne, Tzeentch and Slaanesh), in fear of the power of the emperor and his primarchs, scattered them in the galaxy. The emperor had to travel in all of the galaxy to reunite whith his "sons"
When he had reunited with the ones that were still alive, he went back to terra to work in a secret project, leaving the primarchs expanding the empire with each primarch having his chapter of SPACE MARINES.
Unfortunatly, one of his son, Horus, did not trust the emperor as he should have. Some say that Tzeench induced this doubt in him, but anyway, horus declared war on terra and he was backed up by some of the primarchs and their chapters. He stormed the imperial palace on terra and challenged the emperor. The emperor accepted his duel and fougth Horus. Horus died in the battle but the emperor was awfully injured. He asked to be placed in the Golden Throne, a technology forgoten for a very long time, and so complex that nobody could replicate it.
The throne was supposed to heal the emperor but he was too injured, so all it did was keeping him alive so that he could be the beacon in the Chaos to ghide our ships.
Now, The Imperium is big but threatend by Xenos such as the Orks, The Tyrannids, The Necrons, The dark Eldars, The Tau and even by the Chaos himself, now allied with the Primarchs who betrayed the emperor on the Horus Heresy.
To conclude this, i would resume all of it by this :
IN THE GRIM DARKNESS OF THE FAR FUTURE, THERE IS ONLY WAR

Season 2 has SO MUCH LORE!
"i am deeply afraid belos is gonna crack this bird open like a walnut" LMFAO
I've got a feeling that the reason why King's voice power didn't bounce off the walls of the Titan's veins was because it wasn't magic, it's something else. It's supports the theory of King's and the Titan's species being the two original ones that existed in the past and since magic was derived from the titan, what King has is something else
I'm more worried about what Luz would think when Amity and Eda tell her that Amity had to surrender the key with the titan's blood in it to Hunter(even though it has half of the amount now).
That frame of Amity lending out her hand to Hunter! She looks so beautiful, and I posted that frame on the show’s reddit page about two hours ago. She really _IS_ a cotton-candy haired goddess. 😁
I love the fact that they just casually revealed Belos' face, making me feel like the plot isn't reliant on whatever face a villain has, which feels so overdone at this point.
I'm recalling a tale.
Ludwig the Dreamer.
Or mad king.
He died after going into a river, wanting to escape to a fantasy world.
Maybe Philip is a spin off him?
Maybe that but the other way round
No wait that's way to dark
I like how in the cave everything magical bounced off the walls except for kings howl maybe demon magic cancels each other out
It's definitely an interesting detail that they make a point that magic bounces back within the Titan, yet King's magic did not bounce back at all. I don't know if it's an important detail or not but it's certainly interesting.
Top ten things not to say to the child you take care of:
It would be a hassle replacing you.
Well, Titan's blood is stated as a power ful Magic Source, meaning it itself has nothing to do with dimension-hopping, its just a battery, so ingesting it would either power you up temporarily or give you a stomach ache

YO YOU FIRST
This is my theory about Belos. Basically, Phillip stayed on the BI for a while building the portal, and by the time he’s finished he’s acquired a spouse and son, aka Belos. He and his new family return to the human realm, but instead of being welcomed they are labeled as witches. I think Belos and either Phillip or his spouse escape, and bury the portal door hoping nobody would find it.
Phillip was from the 1600s, so the witch trials might make sense.
I love the dragon ball z reference in this episode
All I remember from this episode was Amity screaming the word Girlfriend and a depressed Hunter

7:19 I mean....isn't this already canon? Eda mentioned in the very first episode that myths on Earth come from "a little of our world bumping up with yours." And that apparently giraffes exist because they were banished from the boiling isles. So it would make sense that cryptids are merely demons or witches slipping through to Earth via titan's blood.

I really enjoyed this episode. The animation during Amity and Hunter's fight was AMAZING
I have to wonder if the common mold sickness will have long-term effects on Luz that she’s just not aware of yet…
I love how in some instances amity’s abomination magic looks like she water bending. I think it might have something to do with the fact that amity and katara share the same voice actor and Dana terrace is referencing that.
I love how the cold in the boiling isles is the "mold" lol
I really thought that the scene from trailer with Luz in the lake would be from this episode (with that being the reason she got sick), but it looks like it'll be in 'Yesterday's Lie'. I also just noticed that she has a rope tied around her waist in that clip. I wonder if they'll make a portal by putting the blood-soaked glove in water, as opposed to building another door like Belos is. The rope would be used to pull Luz back through, since it could otherwise be a one-way trip.
That is a very good theory
Gotta say Season 2 has had some amazing Animation, especially the fight scenes...
I just realized something, if they could banish giraffes to earth then couldn’t they do that to luz, they probably wouldn’t since Liz couldn’t come back but still that means that their is another way besides just the portal
Hold up why has no one thought of a theory for this?!
Who exactly is "they" though? The coven leaders?
This is interesting
What if the bat queen gets cracked and almost drained to death, and Luz has to repair her with palisman wood making the bat queen much smaller (still bigger than the average palisman but usable by a witch)
And so the bat queen becomes Luz's palisman
i’m very surprised that i’ve seen almost no one talk about the fools blood? it kind of reminds me of how belos got all goopy, and if belos is phillip then it’s possible that maybe the fools blood is what cursed him? also, it looks like there might possibly be a picture of fools blood in the grimwalker book
I think the reason the crew showed us Belos's face was specifically to disprove both the theory that Belos is human and the theory that Hunter is a clone of him. Belos has pointed ears not round ones; his eyes are completely different from Hunter's and his ears are different too. Hunter and Belos's ears do have similar injuries to their ears, what I think this represents is that Belos himself was a victim of the same sort of abuse he's now inflicting upon Hunter.
To me it just reinforced the theory. Belos's skin has Palistrom wood on it and the ears aren't really the same as a witches.
the little abomination watching over luz, that amity created.
Abomination: What is my purpose
amity: you watch my sick girlfriend
Abomination: oh My God
Amity: welcome to the Lumity club pal.
Is that a Rick and Morty reference?
I feel like there could be a chance that Belos is the original body of Philip and Belos and Philip are the same person, after 5 years on the boiling isles he had tied his hairs from the back around. So what if you looked at that untied Belos and Philip would look more alike. Plus if hunter being grimwalker that would mean that he would grow and grow and if he doesn’t actually shave the grown hair off then he would look like Philip and Belos. But basically all I’m saying is that there are very very very very very high chances that Belos is Philip, and hunter proving himself as a grimwalker and that Belos is Philip. These are my thoughts pls tell me what you think.
The kikis delivery service ending science portraits, are so amazing. I love how they keep putting references in from they shows and movies they love
Eclipse Lake breakdown? That's just hunter at the end of the episode!
The first letters of the episode titles spell out "SEEK THE KEY."
The one thing I love most about this episode aside lumity moments but they added a dragon ball z reference
honestly the way you're describing how Belos sees Hunter as not a real being or even family, it reminds me of the relationship between Lena and Magica De Spell from 2017 Ducktales
Amity was the bomb in that episode!!! She even have a talisman that is a cat named Ghost! So cool! I have a feeling that Luz’s talisman might be related to a reptile. I just don't know which one? The bat part is confusing.
Snake probably, luz has a connection to snakes and also there seems to be an upside down wand with a snake at the tip
I just realised how hooty detaches. He doesnt, he turns himself inside out. We've seen multiple times his mouth is a portal. If he enters his own mouth he can emerge from anything that is "part of the house" the backpavk likely being made from part b of the house
I'm still trying to cope with the fact that Lucius and Draco Malfoy are the main villains of the show.
This is the only full episode I've watched, and I've only seen clips of the other episodes, but I love this show😂
I think the one thing I was truly underwhelmed by in the episode is that I think Amity's Palisman should've been introduced with more grandiose. It seems weird to me that they had her miss out on the adoption day and not address this fact.
Eclipse Lake is definitely my favorite Owl House episode and one of my favorite Animated episodes in general.
*10:06* Also, viewing Titan's Blood as sort of a ''liquid Calamity Box'' is a really neat concept.
i also thought hunter’s mental breakdown was amusing, and that Belos’ face reveal was completely out of nowhere lol
tbh i thought the guard captain might have something to do with the collector from the hooty's ep. i know its far off but something about them seemed sus in the same kind of sus way of that makes sense?? lol
God I wish it didn’t end in a short S3 but at least it will get an ending. I REALLY hope it doesn’t get rushed or anything though
hunter and his bird better be vibing season 3
I love your breakdown video's!
When I first saw Belos' ear i thought that it looked strangely small, even for a human. Luz's ear looks way bigger and shes a human, even if he were a hybrid that seems oddly small. What if in desperation to survive the boiling isles without automatically being chased after as food he cut his own ear to make him seem like a witch
When he said "interdemensional travel" I immediately Imagined the show ending off with Rick from Rick and Mory just popping up in the demon realm, Luz begging Rick to open a portal with his portal gun to the human realm and Rick eventually agreeing. Man, what an ending!
Luz,amity, and hunter would make a amazing trio change my mind
I cant
The move where amity trapped hunter in an abomination is reminiscent of muk’s body slam from Pokémon Coincidence I THINK NOT
Something that made me squeal with joy is how amity had a little jar on her belt that she used for abomination magic. Amitys voice actress voiced katara from Avatar. They also have similar fighting styles? Idk if that was an intentional Easter egg but it made me very happy!
I love the owl house tbh disney is trash like almost every cartoon only has 3 seasons but i can hope that this will atleast get 4 or 5 seasons
Yes I agree
@@starwolff6506 C:
S3 will have only 3 episodes with 45 minutes and it will be the last one
Im surprised he doesnt talk about the possible reference to water bending in how amity used her magic, down to having a lil jug of goop like kitara had a jug a water for water bending on the run
Same. I especially got interested when he showed toph
Disregarding everything else in the video, the comment on DBZ being a “archaic” anime and saying other anime have surpassed in popularity was way out of line. Dragon Ball is to anime and manga what Star Wars is to the movie industry: it is literally the gold standard.
But people don't really talk about it as much as they did when it first came out
@@banheezone Dragon Ball, as a whole, is ALWAYS being talked about. It’s just the Dragon Ball fanbase is all but seperate from the rest of the anime community
@@TakeTheWorld21 I still disagree people still talk about it just not as much as they did before people talk about in school and stuff but then it's quickly dethroned by another topic
One little detail I for some reason really enjoyed in, is how Eda at one point during the episode comments on Kikimora's behavior, saying "Oh, that poor girl is going through something" which to me, just speaks of how much Kiki's obsession with proving worthy to Belos drove her insane, so much so that even her enemies feel a bit sorry for her. Poor demon lady :(
I love how Danas cat also has a red cardnel as a toy
I feel like titan blood drawn glyphs would be super powered
Since Whittebane's diary was in the section marked 1600, it's possible he came from one of the witch trials of the time. As a note: a widely used method of determining if someone was a witch or not was to drown/dunk them in water, which could be how he got to the Boiling Isles.
The Emperor looks like the principal.
I've recently seen videos about the video game "Tell me why", and look :
Amity- Mary Ann/The Wise Princess from her sons'story (both lived unhappy and opressed, now let's just hope she gets to keep the happinness she managed to acquire and doesn't have whatever Mary Ann psychologically);
The twins- Tyler and Alyson/The goblins from the story they created (just like the protagonists from the game tasked themselves with taking care of their mother despite their somewhere unstable relationship, the twins tasked themselves with protecting their younger sister even though she doesn't see things eye to eye with them, however, let's hope one of them doesn't hurt Amity like Alyson hurt Mary Ann);
Odalia- The Golden Lady/Mary Ann's mother (an oppressive and sorry excuse for a mother until the day her daughter escaped her tentacles, just like Amity is doing)
Alador- The abusive ex-boyfriend of Mary Ann (I know he's Amity's father, but that doesn't change the fact that he seems to offer an initial, temporary and unfulfilling happinness, like when he kept Odalia from further hurting Amity's friends, that is only going to be replaced by pain towards her daughter);
Luz- Mary Ann's first son (while she's alive and is certainly not going to die like this baby did, still, she was the first source of Amity's happinness just like the boy was the only good thing that ever happened to Mary Ann, however, considering what Dana Terrace said about Amity's emotional and psychological state this season, I think eventually Amity will lose Luz just like Mary Ann lost her son).
But don't worry, if Amity doesn't close herself off from the world just like Mary Ann did, then there's hope for her.
5:17, Through the tears in his eyes,
Then he realized, He's Going Home~
I believe that Kikimora's assistant is going to play a larger role in future episodes. Their voice actor, Fryda Wolff, was credited under "additional voices" in this episode and is also the voice for The Collector (mystery hood figure) in Knock, Knock, Knockin' On Hooty'S Door. I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence, just throwing this out there :)
I love the fight between hunter and amity
Did you notice the color of the socks 9n Luz's hands?
Reminds me of a certain Steven Universe episode when he's doing laundry and Garnet puts a blue sock and a pink sock together, saying something like "don't want to split up a pair"
Hunter's teleportation this episode reminded me of Eda from 'Agony of a Witch'. The cardinal's magic is a similar color to Owlbert's; I'm wondering if there's any connection there.
I also started rewatching Svtfoe. Brings back memories!
I love how creators are sneaking in their pets into the show.
Luz - Kaguya

Cute characters who become even cuter when sick
