Exactly !! I love watching it so much because I always feel like the artists are so free that they don’t even feel like it’s a show but like a family reunion and they just be so open and laugh about all stuff and you see their real self and learn just how fun and cool they are ❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
Graham Norton is the best host in the world because in his show, you'll see his guests as a real people just having fun, like when we laugh with our friends. They don't seem to have celebrity tantrums, they drink, they laugh, they tell funny stories...and sometimes you see them as totally different people from their public image.
Olivia Coleman behaving like a schoolgirl confessing to her teacher that she didn't study in preparation for the exam that she got an A+ in! OMG that woman is talented!
A friend worked on the Graham Norton show. He has lots of researchers working for him. And, all the guests are in the green room for a long time before taping of the show with lots of free alcohol.
Joel, when Olivia Coleman was asked about the tv series Broadchurch, in which she starred alongside David Tennant, you appeared bemused. If you haven't seen this series, I highly recommend it. It isn't anything akin to an American crime series. It takes its time and there is little to no violence. The first series took eight 60 minute episodes on one terrible crime. It won 25 awards and scored 92 on Rotten Tomatoes.
This is why I prefer British crime shows, they always take their time and it feels more real. Also, the people look like real people, not like moviestars.
The emotions were so raw and I really felt quite uneasy watching (the nature of the crime was horrible). Really unsettling. Never watched another series quite like it.
Graham filled a space left by Michael Parkinson, who had a talk show on a Saturday night for 40 years +, and when he retired, there was no-one else who had major celebrities. Graham soon made a name for himself as he was already a comedic actor and TV aware, so he puts guests at ease very quickly. Have you seen him in Father Ted?....You should also watch Olivia Coleman and Tom Hiddlestone together in a 6 part drama called `The Night Manager', its a thriller and also has Hugh Laurie as the `baddie', and he is VERY good. It was a TV drama, not sure if it was BBC or ITV........but very good.
Norton has a secret approach to his guests, firstly compliments followed by embarrassing situations and never, ever bring up stories related to any sad ending. Therefore, guests feel at ease and have fun as well.
I agree. Kevin Hart is hilarious whatever he says. Just that type of character I guess. I think the Graham Norton show is one of the best shows ever & possibly the best chat show ever on TV, anywhere. Did you ever watch the show with Matt Damon, Bill Murray & Hugh Bonneville? It was one of the best ones ever & was absolutely hilarious. GN always lets the guests be themselves which is why it’s so successful. Best wishes Joel 👍
Graham usually has three interlinked guests and one safety sat on the end, a comedian or musician that can save the day if the guests go cold or lose pace.
The Guests get a chance to entertain each other They may not get to meet otherwise.Graham lets them get on with it and the magic happens, with a little guidance.Great show.💌
A Listers love going on GN because they can relax and be themselves, also they can swear as much as they like which seems to encourage them to throw off they're inhibitions. Great reaction JP. 👏🏻
The great guests come on the show because Graham lets them be the star of the show. He doesn't talk that much and I think the guests appreciate it. That approach lets the stars speak to each other and chill out. Alcohol also helps.
You should check out Alan Carr chatty man. Episodes with channing Tatum and Jamie fox or paloma faith. Also you should check out Greg Davies telling Ryan gosling a story. That gets me every time
Been watching since the Graham N show started. Hands down the best talk show on earth. He just has a way to make make ppl feel comfortable and let their guard down. At one point he tried to do the show in the US but our censorship laws are strict and it flopped. It really wasn't funny and felt very corporate. Luckily he's still on in Britain. Fingers crossed because he was talking of stopping the show several years ago. He does a bunch of other things and I think he was feeling the "age" thing. He's on Vaca now but is coming back for season 32 in the fall.
That's interesting....and thanks for mentioning that he was talking about finishing with the series, because I remember reading the same and then - over time - thinking I must have imagined it...! 🤔
Tommy Cooper (when he was very young) had a magic set for his birthday, he decided to perform his tricks to his boss and fellow colleagues after work but they all went wrong, he was out the back crying his heart out when his boss came in absolutely crying with laughter, his boss said "that is the funniest thing I have seen in all the time I have lived and breathed", and that is how Tommy Cooper became a comedian
omg-Marylander here. Love crab. Yes, expensive now but back in the day loved crab fests and getting together with family and friends with bushels of crabs and eating until you were stuffed. Delicious. Crab cakes, crab dip and plain crab-yum
Please please please go down a GNS rabbit hole and do what im doing on this Saturday night in middle england and watch a whole bunch of these videos its honestly my fav thing to do when i need a pick me up and a good laugh! Guest love his show and come back multiple times because they have such a good time Graham is good crack!
Just to tell you about why some of our guards wear red tunics. The reason goes back to the English Civil War in 1642. The idea was blood does not show up on the red jacket. It’s a tradition going back to then, most of the Kings guards have uniforms that go way back in history.
Hi Joel. You have delivered yet again. I love crab meat. Even if its shell was made out of steel I would find a way to get it out. Have you ever watched Jimmy Carr? Miriam's filter works extremely well by comparison with his. I don't think you could share it here though. Keep well and keep up the great work.
Olivia Colman is the most funny person on TV....and in movies! She's brilliant. Her role in Green Wing had me rolling on the floor laughing my head off! Graham always has the best guests.
There have been sooo many funny guests on the show. The Greatest Moments compilations are great when you're feeling down, you will rewatch them multiple times. Kevin Hart is always hilarious, as is Jamie Dornan.
You can't help but love the Graham Norton show! You should definitely check out the episode with Cher,Julia Roberts, Tom hanks and Timothy chamolet it was just a love in 😂
Wow, I lived in Baltimore, right by the Harbor, for 20 years. Worked right across the street from Camden Yards and lived in Federal Hill by the Ravens stadium. I loved living there. #RavenNation I bet I ate half the bay of crabs living there.
First Comment what's my prize? Olivia Coleman is Fantastic (Oscar Winner) not just Peep Show lol Such an Amazing guest as she can never remember what she's promoting and was also Amazing In Broadchurch!!!!! maybe we'll watch it together (on Patreon) someday!!!!
The mix of the celebrities can be even crazier. Isn McKellan and N'Sync. Tom Cruise, Seth MacFarlane, Emily Blunt and Charliz Theron. What about Cher, Tom Hanks, Timothee Chalamet and Julia Roberts. It's the best late night talk show, in my opinion. The guest interactions are the best... and when you throw in the utter chaos Olivia Coleman adds? I cannot get enough! lol
I still can't work out if Sir Ian has been pranked by some Kiwi and still hasn't found out !? He calls his green, good luck stone a POONAMI - which is the slang word for a massive, explosive defecation by a baby... 😂😂😂
Graham lets his guests talk freely but always had a story prompt to hand. They know anything goes, have a couple of drinks and don’t have to watch their language. Ian (Gandalf) is so sweet, but he mispronounced the greenstone, it’s ponamu = paw nah moo. But he’s such a treasure we will forgive him.
Lol, that's exactly what I thought when he said that! 'Punami' is actually *an entirely different thing* - and.... well, put it this way, not the 'thing' Sir ian Mckellan would have much interest in pursuing! 🤣
Graham Norton definitely has a wide variety of guests on his show, but Michael Parkinson’s talk show ran from 1971 to 1982 and from 1998 to 2007 as well as other talk shows broadcast from the UK and abroad. He was much loved by audiences and was known for being easygoing and respectful, but his interview with Meg Ryan was talked about for years because of how disrespectful and nasty she was to this much loved host. His show was called “Parkinson” and his guests included sportsmen, politicians, dancers, comedians and actors from modern times to some Golden Hollywood legends. They really are worth a watch.
I've always thought that sofa looks so uncomfortable. The back rest is too low and guests have to twist their bodies to rest their elbows.... your comment 4:19, Lancashire man and Yorkshire man.
The hierarchy of that red sofa. Top Hollywood stars far left and always some semi famous Brit or Irish guy on the far right 😂 The musician sometimes doesn’t even get a seat on the sofa at all? 😂
Graham Norton has a good show over here ( it might have ended - I don`t see it anymore on the grounds that I don`t have a Television Licence and, ergo, don`t watch live TV or BBCiPlayer ). I, of course, instantly recognised Norton, John Malkovich and Sam Jackson. I have no idea whom the other two are, but I wouldn`t kick the lady out of the way to get to any of the other four.
Hello Joel. Great clips, but I am old enough to prefer Michael Parkinson (now deceased). I recently watched videos of Patrick Stewart with Conan O'Brian. He has not forgotten his upbringing in a town near my home city, where I have relatives.
Great fun!! Question Joel; do you actually gain calories eating crab or burn more calories just trying to get the meat? Lobster for me. Cheers, John in Canada
PS, Joel. Yes, Maryland has THE best crab and crabcakes, together with the Gulf Islands. Believe it or not, my first ever crabcake was given me 27 yrs ago at a crab bake at a house at Cape Charles, hosted by Al Gore!! After his book on climate change, those crab cakes were the best things he ever gave me.,😅😋.
Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart have been best friends for years. Their bromance is so wholesome
Seeing them on stage together in Waiting for Godot is a highlight of my theatre experience!
Ian lives around the corner from me and the two of them drink in the local pub, which Ian owns part of, every now and again.
Olivia Coleman is batshit crazy and we love her all the more for it, she's ace. 👍🏻
If you haven’t seen Wicked Little Letters yet you should, it’s hilarious and Olivia is so good.
She is really annoying 🇬🇧
she's great in a sitcom called 'Rev' where she plays the vicar's wife - such a funny show
She isn't "crazy", she is just very witty and unaffected.
_Helena Bonham Carter_ is crazy.
I legit had no idea she played Carol Thatcher.
The Graham Norton show is brilliant because he lets the guests just talk and have fun. This is why they go back on his show. 😂😎
Exactly !! I love watching it so much because I always feel like the artists are so free that they don’t even feel like it’s a show but like a family reunion and they just be so open and laugh about all stuff and you see their real self and learn just how fun and cool they are ❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
Have heard so many guests say things like, this is the most fun I've ever had on an interview'
That, plus the booze is real booze.
Graham Norton is the best host in the world because in his show, you'll see his guests as a real people just having fun, like when we laugh with our friends. They don't seem to have celebrity tantrums, they drink, they laugh, they tell funny stories...and sometimes you see them as totally different people from their public image.
The key to this, they are allowed to drink and it relaxes them. US guests generally love it.
Unfortunately Aaron Taylor Johnson drank a little too much, forgot to speak, and was never invited back.
They are also allowed to relax and say what they want - the drink is just sociable (like at a party)! 😂
Also Graham Norton is the best host there is. He makes them comfortable, lets them talk and has the quickest wit
I love watching and rewatching the compilations! Olivia Colman THE ICON
Broadchurch was SO GOOD!
will be watching it soon!
This is why I prefer British crime shows, they always take their time and it feels more real. Also, the people look like real people, not like moviestars.
Great series

Graham is one of the best talk show hosts ever, and his show is hilarious!
Graham always gets high calibre guests because he is hilarious and authentic and 100% at ease with himself and everyone else. Love him
Jonathan Ross was the same when he was on the BBC it's just because of the BBC money that's why more money to give guests
The Graham Norton Show is the BEST talk/chat show you will ever see.. Graham is the #GOAT. 😆
Norton has a secret approach to his guests, firstly compliments followed by embarrassing situations and never, ever bring up stories related to any sad ending. Therefore, guests feel at ease and have fun as well.
Plus giving them plenty of alcohol helps too
GN is amazing. It’s way more relaxed than US talk shows. They have a drink. The guests have room to be themselves. I love it so much
McKellen is spot on with his impersonation of Maggie Smith who I also adore unconditionally. What a woman, what an actress, what a presence.
Yes. Matt Damon even said that it was the best chat show he had ever been on and you just knew he absolutely meant it.
I watch that entire episode at least once a year. It’s amazing.
Graham usually has three interlinked guests and one safety sat on the end, a comedian or musician that can save the day if the guests go cold or lose pace.
Bro, you get an instant like just for saying "Graham" right
Currently, it's the best talk show on Earth
The Guests get a chance to entertain each other They may not get to meet otherwise.Graham lets them get on with it and the magic happens, with a little guidance.Great show.💌
A Listers love going on GN because they can relax and be themselves, also they can swear as much as they like which seems to encourage them to throw off they're inhibitions. Great reaction JP. 👏🏻

4:01 THIS DAME MAGGIE SMITH IMPRESSION is now history. Also, I was watching this clip earlier in the day.
I love thay we always get to see the real person and not just the piblic persona.
Been watching since the Graham N show started. Hands down the best talk show on earth. He just has a way to make make ppl feel comfortable and let their guard down. Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are both very proud Yorkshire men !
You are someone with humor and wits. Check out the British shows Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister. Your loyal subscriber
I could just keep listening to Olivia Colman talk about how she generally doesn't prepare at all for any role ever -- for a long time.
You cannot watch Graham Norton Show with a straight face 😂😂❤❤
I'm an avid and frequent theatre-goer and my favourite play title is "I caught crabs in Walberswick" (A picturesque coastal town in Suffolk)
3:47 These 3 are just simply iconic ❤
Love this guy, he is as good as Michael Parkinson and Terry Wogan!
"Crabs are big in Maryland; that's like our...state animal" 😂
Graham Norton Show is great, they lean in on the whole "we can say anything we want" AND give the guests real drinks 😂
Graham Norton Show is amazing, been in the audience a few times... often the 'unbroadcasted' stuff is better! He gets amazing guests always
I’m jealous. It must be fabulous!
I have never even been to a restaurant where crab is on the menu.
The red chair story from the same episode of first clip is crazy 🤣 especially when John Malkovic is confused and rest try to explain 69 to him
omg-Marylander here. Love crab. Yes, expensive now but back in the day loved crab fests and getting together with family and friends with bushels of crabs and eating until you were stuffed. Delicious. Crab cakes, crab dip and plain crab-yum
Have you seen the episode with Lady Gaga, June Brown, Jude Law and Greg Davies. It's brilliant :-)
Aren't we lucky on the British Isles! It's a pleasure to share the laughs xx
Olivia Coleman is one of the greatest actors ever !!! She is amaizing !!!!!
5:33 I didn’t even know Olivia Colman was in ‘The Iron Lady’ until much later.
I feel like cracking the crab is part of the fun of eating it. It’s like eating an artichoke. It’s a process.
I've had crabs many o times... I'll never learn.
Thanks for the reaction - this is such a great show - have you watched the compliation of Greg Davies on Graham Norton? it's hilarious
Graham Norton is a great Irishman and he was in Father Ted also.
Just to tell you about why some of our guards wear red tunics. The reason goes back to the English Civil War in 1642. The idea was blood does not show up on the red jacket. It’s a tradition going back to then, most of the Kings guards have uniforms that go way back in history.

Miriam's filter works extremely well by comparison with his. I don't think you could share it here though. Keep well and keep up the great work.
He is a genius at this
LL could be on the stand and still be chill AF
Olivia Colman is the most funny person on TV....and in movies! She's brilliant.
Her role in Green Wing had me rolling on the floor laughing my head off!
Graham always has the best guests.
Aspiring Comics. What an uphill battle.
There have been sooo many funny guests on the show. The Greatest Moments compilations are great when you're feeling down, you will rewatch them multiple times. Kevin Hart is always hilarious, as is Jamie Dornan.
You can't help but love the Graham Norton show! You should definitely check out the episode with Cher,Julia Roberts, Tom hanks and Timothy chamolet it was just a love in 😂
It's funny, David Tennant also felt compelled to mimic Maggie Smith when he talked about her.
I love how Will Smith is there for the story about the buffalo wing incident - assuming this was pre Oscars.
Wow, I lived in Baltimore, right by the Harbor, for 20 years. Worked right across the street from Camden Yards and lived in Federal Hill by the Ravens stadium. I loved living there. #RavenNation
I bet I ate half the bay of crabs living there.

A congrats, lol
a kiss?
I will give you what the late, great Stan Lee used to hand out... A No-Prize! 🤪
Love watching your videos 😊
Olivia Colman is really funny and so down to earth
Olivia Colman's first big interview, she hasn't changed 😂
Quote of the Day: “Crabs are big in Maryland.”
Be careful where you sit!
We are an Island nation, we know Crabs also :)
It's a bit odd.. my brain loves crab.. but my mouth isn't 100% with it yet
Octavia Spencer dying laughing during Kevin Hart's story is a real plus. Hilarious extra.
I cannot get enough! lol
I watched an episode with Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams and Daniel Radcliffe yesterday. Insane.
They go on Graham Norton show cos it is fun. Best crabs are those you catch yourself😊
The Chatty Man is another good chat show, check out the one with Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx. He also has the moment Tom Holland danced on it!
Well Done!!!! 100K Subs is right here!!! 🙂
I still can't work out if Sir Ian has been pranked by some Kiwi and still hasn't found out !? He calls his green, good luck stone a POONAMI - which is the slang word for a massive, explosive defecation by a baby... 😂😂😂
this how you crack crabs...very funny
Wolverine,Magneto and professor Xavier❤❤❤
Crabs means something else in the Uk crab 🦀 is for singular and plural
Graham lets his guests talk freely but always had a story prompt to hand. They know anything goes, have a couple of drinks and don’t have to watch their language. Ian (Gandalf) is so sweet, but he mispronounced the greenstone, it’s ponamu = paw nah moo. But he’s such a treasure we will forgive him.
Lol, that's exactly what I thought when he said that! 'Punami' is actually *an entirely different thing* - and.... well, put it this way, not the 'thing' Sir ian Mckellan would have much interest in pursuing! 🤣
@@Maerahn Knowing him, it was deliberate! 🤣
Try British crab. I think it has more flavour. The best think is to order ‘dressed crab’ but make sure it’s local - for example go to the seaside lol
Watch the one with Joan Rivers 🤣
Graham Norton definitely has a wide variety of guests on his show, but Michael Parkinson’s talk show ran from 1971 to 1982 and from 1998 to 2007 as well as other talk shows broadcast from the UK and abroad. Try watching the Big Fat Quiz!
I've always thought that sofa looks so uncomfortable. The back rest is too low and guests have to twist their bodies to rest their elbows.... your comment 4:19, Lancashire man and Yorkshire man.
Jonathan Ross was the same on BBC he had all the A Listers. It's because of BBC money that's why they get all the guests
The hierarchy of that red sofa. Top Hollywood stars far left and always some semi famous Brit or Irish guy on the far right 😂 The musician sometimes doesn’t even get a seat on the sofa at all? 😂
The show is able too attract such guests because it’s the BBC!
They also have the money too pay for the guests 😉
You have to watch Hugh Grant in this show, he's such a funny guy.
I despise crab, but love shrimp, lobster, scallops...etc (but not oysters, ick) makes no sense. But crabs are just nasty.
I adore Olivia Coleman ❤
Great fun!! Question Joel; do you actually gain calories eating crab or burn more calories just trying to get the meat? Lobster for me. Cheers, John in Canada
Next time you come to the UK try our crabs
Theres an ep with 50 cent and Alan Carr lol its wild
Brilliant, so funny...
PS, Joel. Yes, Maryland has THE best crab and crabcakes, together with the Gulf Islands. Believe it or not, my first ever crabcake was given me 27 yrs ago at a crab bake at a house at Cape Charles, hosted by Al Gore!! The goatie tho 🔥
I love crab mmmmmmmmm
Crabs aren't expensive in the UK and you buy them 'ready dressed' so you don't have all that hard work to do.
