Zebras are very cantankerous animals. More so than donkeys. They do not get along with other animals. They barely tolerate other Zebras. A zebra can't kill an elephant but if they are forced to share the same enclosure, the elephant could injure or kill the zebra. These conditions should not be allowed.
First off I think that is a young elephant, he or she should be with a herd, because he or she doesn’t know their strength, and would actually kill that zebra….. and why isn’t the food evenly distributed, and why is the zebra and elephant together in an enclosure?
It might be funny for us but for these two animals who are cellmates in a small prison cell, it's no fun at all. Staff should at least feed them in separate corners
Poor zookeeping...those keepers shd b replaced with staff that has degrees in zoology; the elephant is quite young and the zebra is an older adult that intimidates the young elephant, and wont let the elephant get to its food. the zookeepers shd b ashamed of putting all the food in one area, shd put the fruit pile in 2 separate piles far apart, and same with the branch leaf pile. these animals are going to injure each other eventually.
This ain’t right to have two different animals in the same closure. That elephant could’ve gotten very aggressive and killed the zebra, and the zebra could have kicked the elephant into it causing a lot of pain. They’re both suffering if they live in the same enclosure.
That elephant is insanely tolerant of that Zebra to the point i think it musta been kicked before. In the wild that thing woulda just walked up and grabbed the zebra and yeeted it or skewered it or something.
The elephant was probably a youngster when brought into the enclosure and the zebra was the boss. As it grew the elephant failed to realize it could crush the zebra by sheer force but mentally was stuck in its vision of the zebra and the big honcho.
Why do they have these 2 together? They do not speak the same language, and therefore are fighting and stressing over a head of lettuce. Once the elephant has had enough, that zebra will suffer a painful ending.
It's not hilarious. Elephants tend to avoid confrontation when possible. This elephant is just hungry. It has no desire to harm the zebra, even though it easily could kill it.
