I can’t tell if this is satire. A failing creator with 387 videos barely with 9K subs is trying to gain clout by just laughing at someone else’s video. Like not even adding value to your audience or anything. Just sad, but probably an indication of why you are failing so badly at UA-cam. Took me 2 months to gain 125k on my first channel. And a year to gain 7 million on TikTok and 30M on snap. So I could do the same as you as an actual creator tearing your badly editing videos up and making fun of the fact you can’t seem to gain a real audience because you aren’t a good creator. Would make a hilarious video to watch all the years of your hard work mean nothing when we are growing past your following in weeks or months. But instead, I just hope you learn to be a better creator and come up with better content so you can gain a real audience. Critiquing my hobbies page for clout doesn’t work. Sorry.

If you're launching a channel strictly for comics on youtube, then you're not going to get an audience overnight like you would with other subjects such as finance, cars, how to create content on YT etc.(just google it) Example; my comic channel has only 13 subscribers (lol) and very boring content compared to Sticky goose, but my other channel (non comic related) has way more. However, everything you said in your comment above is a terrible way to manage constructive criticism and is a direct reflection of what sticky goose is trying to say in his video.
With that said, --Seeing what you've displayed in your collection, congrats.. you should watch sticky gooses video on his collection before throwing out pointless numbers to inflate your ego and avarice. If your collection is 200k then his is probably 10M using the same value method. But, I think If you're going to go out there and bash sticky gooses subscribers as a numerical value, you've under minded and insulted his viewers as well choosing quantity over quality (not to mention your own) and if you're going out there giving financial advice then you should know the value of human beings.
Human beings and the dynamic of understanding human beings to be successful is not an algorithm. The most successful real people in the world have the best understanding of social etiquette. Your lack of humility is a weakness not a strength and your social skills are appalling, *A recommendation for you; take some of the money you've made and instead of investing it in comics, go invest it in therapy for Narcissism and low self esteem. I was just about to comment this. Why would anybody have _that_ book in _that_ condition signed and then graded when there are literally hundreds of thousands of copies of that book in far better condition?
@@johnnydropkicks why would anybody want that book at all? Ask yourself that and then ask yourself why you think your copy is actually better, when there are so many in circulation. He may have just graduated from that first phase of collecting, and admits it , …there are levels. Good luck, kids.
@@preemptivepmp My answer to your first question is: I don’t know why anybody would want that book. Second, I don’t own a copy of this book, but I have sold several copies in the past that were all in better condition.
The book has a gigantic print run. Why somebody would choose to pay for a signature on a copy in this condition, and then pay for it to be graded is beyond me - especially when you consider that you could purchase a better copy for $10. Sure, maybe he’s new to the hobby - but why then make a video bragging about your "$200,000" collection when you don’t know what you’re talking about? That’s the part that gets me.

@@AngryStraightWhiteMale If that were the case, to me, it’s all the more reason to keep your personal copy raw and get one in better condition to have signed and graded. Also, it doesn’t seem like this would be his own personal copy or hold any personal significance to him since he just recently got into this hobby and (pretty much) only for investment reasons.

I typically find great enjoyment in watching your videos, but I do have a question: what motivates the desire to gatekeep within the comic community and single out certain collectors for "exposure"? I believe every individual enters this hobby for their own unique reasons, whether it be for their love of the art, financial opportunities, or something else entirely. However, your video comes across more as a criticism of individuals rather than offering support and encouragement.
So agree with you on this, we should celebrate collectors who are all on different journeys!

Sticky I like your channel and your videos but I think this one is not a great look for you. You are openly laughing at and mocking this guy who is clearly a beginner collector who just has deep pockets. Yep anybody in comics is going to immediately pick up on his Galactus mistake, etc. but I expected you to be more charitable and see a guy who is a beginner who is trying to be in the community. He makes some really good points about buying major keys and has some seriously respectable books like H181 9.0. I think you need to step back and be more generous and charitable to someone who is trying to share his collecting experience. He clearly has a lot of $ to throw around and has made some mistakes but I think you would say here’s a collector who loves comics and the characters and we should celebrate that and not drag the guy for beginner mistakes. I think Comic Tropes sets a good example for how we should all treat people in the community.

His collection room reminded me of the Architect scene from "The Matrix Reloaded." Instead of keeping his most valuable comics at the bank, why doesn't he just buy a fireproof safe?
Some collectors already have a safe-deposit box, so putting some comics in there is pretty common.
Fireproof safe is problematic, can promote rusty staples if you're not careful

It was cheap money printed by the Fed that enabled people to pursue new hobbies and ways to spend easy cash from the government. The dude is a newbie that got in at the top and had way too much money and not any knowledge. We should help these guys out so they don't make the same mistakes later when they find themselves with a bunch of cash to blow and some unscrupulous vendors tell them what to buy.
