Hi, I enjoy your videos very much. It got me thinking about the specialists and generalists in ENTP, and Fe (I like to call it a tribe). and... the stupidest thing I did when I first started learning MBTI was putting type on the person I was having difficulty with to convince my mind to assign... Be simple: if you feel toxic, you should get the hell out of there. And recently I saw a Jungian researcher commented that “Jung treated typology thoroughly as a framework for understanding the ‘other,’ and never considered it useful for self-insight or self-awareness. I think typology is extremely unsuitable for “self-understanding” in the first place."He said. I love learning about the MBTI, Enneagram, etc., but I think under my unconscious was reassured that there were others who felt similar pain to me. I was not alone. But I understood enough that each types “speak and act, way of thinking alike”, but no one ever mentioned “why such a similar variety of races were created in the first place”. (which may well reach into the realm of the divine). It drives me crazy when I apply the eight functions and theories to everything I say and do. So I put it together in this messy way: we only say and do similar things because the fears we hold are similar. I am a 5w4 ENTP, so my Ni is strong and suffers a lot. My Ne is manipulated by the Ni shadow rather than acting spontaneously. But in the end I only have two legs. I can go out to know many things, but I can only walk one path.
Hey I like your videos and I really resonated with your first video about the struggles of an entp. I would say look into cognitive transitions of types as the Entp ego has the Intj unconscious Isfj subconscious and Esfp Superego. The shorthand on cognitive transitions would be that depending on your state of being the ordering and accessibility of functions changes. When drowsy or in a downers state the unconscious is easier to access, when anxious or high energy the subconscious, and the mix of both is the superego. It's possible that the Intj/entp person was either in a different state when being typed. But yeah dont let it all limit you regardless as the brain itself is malleable and not mechanically perfect so completely understanding or classifying it expecting complete accuracy to something that doesn't work with precision would be a flawed way to look at it.
@@cinworks1224 I've heard these terms for many years, but I've always questioned them because I want to have some sensory to back it up. It seems to me that these terms have just popped out of the mbti ether and that no-one is credited for coming up with the superego/unconcious/subconcious dychotomies making me think it's all just hokey pokey, but that's just my Ne Assumption and I'll look into it a bit further as per your request 🤘😇
@@AdamPratar I would agree that it isn't talked about much and is harder to find which makes it's credibility a little harder to believe. Though I will say personally when I am more awake isfj and Si tasks become easier too me as well as when I'm anxious in a crowd I tend to do what's socially expected and it's hard to think in an Ne matter with crazy ideas. I saw that aspect in improv. The "dark side" intj when depressed I will prioritize my own feelings more or at least am aware of them and am sort of cold like an intj and think about my future more. But again it can all be huey possibly and just coincidence yet i do think there's some credibility. Esfp would be when I'm both loose comfortably like with alcohol and simultaneously energized and in that aspect giving a sort of performance or experience I do see. The world: Here is your personality type. You were born like this. You excel at thinking outside of the box but you can't stick to stuff and argue everything. We call your type ENTP. ENTP: you can't put me in this box! I can just quit being an ENTP. Also your types are a sort of restrictive religion based on a belief system and therefore can be changed.
hey, Adam! This video is just what I’ve been looking for since I discovered the typology world and got into typing myself (and often others too) I feel like everything concerning personality itself has been bottled up into a black n’ white “you’re either a Ni user or a Ne one” type of thinking. That bugs me so much cuz’ even though I’m aware that’s not how things work I keep repeating these same limiting beliefs about how I and other people would act based on a kind of arbitrary cognitive stack. the thing is (and it feels so good to say this) that I’ve been using Ni my whole life as an infj and instead of it being a so called “savior function” I can’t help but to feel MISERABLE anytime it manifests. It’s as if I had an unwanted preference for it. On the other hand, when I consciously try to use Si things get so much better… but just because it’s not a “preferred” cognitive function I don’t rely on it that often… and I do wanna change that.
Si is OP. Si is the most underrated function. It's so goddamn beautiful in it's simplicity and utitlity. It's basically an internal pinpoint accurate microscope in your head that sort things out into concrete facts with your T&F. Writing is a great way to activate it and put it to paper for your Intuitive and Thinking/Feeling functions to go to ham on that thang! Slap that thang boy! Don't just look at it. BOY!! Slap that ham!! *slaps ham* Damn that ham slaps good boy... Thank you for your comment I appriciated to know that it helped aomeone get out of this narrow-minded black n' white type shit. I'll do more content, we'll see what it'll be. Ty, Keep slapping that ham boy!
“You cannot encapsulate any real thing inside of a word” when you’re so averse to being boxed in you rebel against the concept of language 😂 But also spot on
Try to get typed by someone else. I’m pretty sure you are one of these and not ENTP.. : INFP. deeply introspective, imaginative, emotionally expressive. their creativity can be driven by their idealism and desire to convey profound truths or personal experiences. ISFP. sensory awareness, aesthetic appreciation, and spontaneous. often drawn to visual arts because they have a keen eye for detail and beauty.
