Not at all! That's amazing! I'm so happy to hear that. Thank you very much for letting me know. If by any chance you have taken any photos and don't mind sharing, would you be able to send it to me on Facebook or Instagram please? Don't worry if you haven't. Many thanks 🥰💛
@AC-fq1zg That's wonderful 👏 It's so easy, you'll have lots of fun and two delicious dish to enjoy after! Really great to hear that you love being vegan and also love Chinese food 🤩 🙌
@@AC-fq1zg Sorry for the late reply, I've not tried that yet, so don't really know. But for this recipe it really needs delicate freshly frozen tofu sheets rolling up to acheive that tender, melt in your mouth texture, which I don't know if any other tofu products could provide the same. Hope this helps ☺
@ricebowltales I tried something very similar with the fresh sheet tofu. The skin was glazed and delicious, but the inner layers were a little dry and chewy. Next time I will marinade them.. I will also keep my eyes peeled for the tofu sheets you used. Liked and subscribed. Thank you
Thank you very much! Yes in deed! We're so lucky. These clever inventions created from the wise men and women thousand years ago are just amazing!! They can be made into so many delicious vegan dishes - including Dim Sim! We really need to use them more often to show our gratitude and appreciation 😊☘
Wow wow. Thank you so much. I’m going out today and buy the sheets. I didn’t know they came frozen fresh, and I have really wanted to learn to cook bean curd..at least one thing. That looks delicious. Thanks for your translation. Sheh sheh(?)
@agold2125 That's amazing! I hope you have managed to get the beancurd sheet. These two dishes are so easy to make and absolutely delicious. Please let me know how you get on 🥰 You're very welcome! Hahah Sheh sheh 謝謝! Thank you very much too 💛

Thank you very much! I hope so too. It's really worth the effort to try and hunt them down, as they make the tenderest beancurd chicken and roast duck! Best of luck 💛🤞
@ricebowltales thank you so much for responding🤗❤️. Do you know of any asian online stores where I can order this from incase I am not able to find it in my local asian store?
@@varsharao86 I live in the UK, I know which Chinese supermarkets store them near where I live, but not in the US. I think you can only order the dehydrated ones from online stores, but the one that I would recommend to use for my recipes is the fresh frozen type. You can give your local asian store a call in advance before you set off in case disappointment. I'm really sorry I wish I could help more 💕
@susiegilmour3520 Thank you very much 💛 I have not used the steaming function of the Instant pot to steam this before, I normally steam them over a rack in a coved wok or stockpot, but may try that in the future. I don't know if the steaming time should be the same? I guess you will have to realise the steam immediately to stop them cooking further once the time is up and then open the lid safely immediately. But with the steamed bean curd sheets rolls being so soft, delicate and tender, any extra cooking time will spoil them, so please bear that in mind 🥰
Thank you so much for the recipe, this looks incredible! After cooking the bean curd, we let it cool for 30 minutes. Can it also be served hot, or does this change the texture too much?
@JasperLaw Thank you so much for the question. With the bean curd sheet, it's better to serve it after it's been cool for a little while to firm up for easy cutting into pieces, if you do the cutting whilst the 'chicken' and the 'duck' are still hot, they'll be too soft to handle. Hope this helps 😊
@evelynowyong2052 You're very welcome 🥰😍 Yes, with my recipe for making the bean curd sheet vegan chicken and roast duck, I would definitely use the fresh-frozen ones, if I were to make the bean curd sheet dim sum "chicken wraps", I could probably use the dried ones because the recipe requires deep frying the sheet before rehydrating it to wrap the meat. I've never used any with added salt though 🙂
@MichaelLee-bz6ml I personally really happy with the LKK's Peking Duck sauce, the flavour is not too sweet nor over powering and it's vegan. I just checked their website, I suppose you can use their Sweet Bean Sauce (sauce for peking duck)? But I've never used it and not sure if it's vegan, or you can try Hoi Sin Sauce? Again, I've not used it with this recipe, but I'm sure you can try either one to find out. Hope this helps 🙂
Thank you for your prompt reply! Do you know if the Peking Duck sauce similar in taste to hoisin (tangier) or to the sweet bean sauce (milder)? Is it still available in your area (or LKK.uk website)? Thanks.
@@MichaelLee-bz6ml I'm not a big fan of Hoi Sin Sauce, I find the taste too sweet to my liking, and I have not tried the sweet bean sauce before, but it says it's for peking duck, so hopefully it's similar to the Peking Duck sauce. @bobogliddabrun Bean curd sheets come both fresh or dried. The fresh ones are undried version sold frozen, just thaw in room temperature and can use immediately according to the recipe. The dried version must be rehydrated in water before use. Hope this helps 🌿🙌

how much does this vegan duck and chicken taste like the real thing?
it doesn't , it has no texture or flavour. You can only taste the marinade....
