The thing with the wheel cleaner is considering it’s listed as an iron remover, the sulphur-like smell is spot on. The chemical in most high quality iron removers (like Iron-X) leads the solution to have a bad smell. If you find an iron remover that actually smells great, it probably won’t remove much iron.

It's not actually the iron-removing part but rather the progress indicator-chemical that's responsible for the rancid sulfur smell. The stuff that turns contamination into a visible redish/violett color. There are very potent wheel cleaner / fallout remover products out there without a progress indicator and these smell much better. :)
Yeah maybe, but $6 for 50 ml is a huge rip off, so it’s definitely a scam!
Hi, we actually found one. Adam’s wheel cleaner smells great and cleans well. Heavy duty we do use iron x though.

Honestly, my favorite part of these type of D-List videos, is James painstakingly reading the entire, often incoherent, titles of these products as if it mattered, and I say that unironically, just him reading out the whole title usually leaves me in tears laughing lmao

Guys that swiffer thing is meant for the inside of your windshield, I have a similar one and it's super useful if your dashboard is very long and you need to dry off condensation in wet weather. It gives you more reach and on the end is a microfiber towel you can just toss in the washing machine.

My dad has one that I've used before, and every time I use it for cleaning or condensation it doesn't work any better than the super absorbent paper towels

@@adamthompson4072 I think you don't understand the purpose of this product, a towel is not going to give you the extra reach if you want to get all the way across the windshield from the driver's seat. It'd need to be longer than the one the D-list crew received though.

That little spray bottle for your wheels is an iron oxide solvent like Carpro Iron-x or Monello Non-Ferro. It stinks like hell, will turn purple when it reacts and works wonderfully to pull iron particles out of painted surfaces. It won't work on crud coated steelies though.
I was just going to say this. Every dust remover spray like this smells horrid.

Glad its not just me. Also thought the little handle for the windshield could be better used. Getting your hands all the way forward on the inside of your windshield is a pain 😅
@@007.3l I know. I have a bottle sitting about 30 feet from me right now that we only use in the most dire of circumstances. It fumigates the whole shop.
P&S fallout remover is the closest to non gagging formula I've tried. Have not tried Carpro IronX Lemon
The best part of all of these d list videos is james reading out every word of the sentence long titles that just get copied and pasted from the description of the product🤣🤣
The car vacuums are very much helped by the car running. The extra voltage makes a noticeable difference in the speed and suction of the vacuum, also the window cleaner on a stick is best used on windshields.
Auto glass it auto glass. Window or windshield I don’t imagine it would work well.
He means cleaning the inside of the windshield is easier because you can reach deep down without climbing onto the damn dashboard

I got one of those "window wands" at the dollar store and like it for cleaning the INSIDE 🤔. It works quite well, that said for the outside get a decent microfibre cloth 😎

The window cleaning wand is for the inside of the windshield where it’s hard to clean up against the dash. That being said, it probably still sucks. You guys rock!

You won't notice much of the iron remover on a black wheel. Try on something clearer with lots of brake dust and it will pay for itself.
Also, the window cleaning rod-thing is meant for the inside of a windshield, where in some cars it's a PITA to reach the corners. It will get insta-dirty if you use it on the outside, it's better to use just soap and water with a microfiber cloth.

8:44 The purpose of this blue wiper on a stick thingy is actually to clean the front window from the inside, which can be an absolute pain in the ass, especially if you own a car with a really flat front window, this thing is totally legit and helps a lot. I am using it since years, you can get in every corner in the of the front window pretty easy.

@@JaredConnell yes iron particles stick and cause rust. If you spray the meguiars wheel cleaner on a dirty whee and just spray it down it’ll look almost perfect.

That "window cleaner" is just for doing the inside of the windshield and the back glass. Avoids the awkward reach around. Works well for what it's actually intended for.

The window cleaner thing with the handle I find useful. It is not for exterior cleaning as you have found. It is excellent for getting down where the windshield meets the dash when you can't reach it properly. With some proper window cleaner it works well for interior windshields and rear windows where access is tough.
Microfiber on a stick thing is fantastic on interior oily windows and fogged ones without having to crawl around the car

I have one of those swiffer window cleaners. It works great and It's only meant to be used on the inside of the windshields.
For someone as small as I am with my short little arms? That windshield washer stick thingy is amazing! I can’t really reach the bottom portion of my windshield on my own without twisting myself into a pretzel to reach the bottom end, so this is one car detail tool I can’t live without. Mine came with 4 microfiber heads, so I use one with solution and one without to buff it out and done; a crystal clear clean windshield!
Magic Eraser is fantastic for certain things. If you own a boat they are a must have for when mildew rears it's inevitable head, particularly when it rears it's head and you don't clean it in a timely manner and the mildew stains your vinyl upholstery. Mildew stains can be really tough to get rid of, but magic eraser will do it with just a bit of water. It does take a lot of elbow grease because you do have to scrub anywhere that you want to use it, but often times it will restore the vinyl to "like new" condition. It really is quite impressive how well it works.

I actually use that microfiber cloth on handle for when the inside of my front window is damp and want to clear it. That works pretty well and I dont have to reach all over the dash to get to the window!

I have one of those window cleaner sticks with the microfiber cover on the end, I got it specifically to clean the inside of my 300zx windshield since it has a very deep dash and the windshield is at a 25 degree angle. It actually works amazingly well and allows me to clean the whole windshield on the inside. Before it was back breaking and unbearable to clean. Allbeit mine is different from the one you guys got, it extends out pretty long and the microfiber covers are great quality.
I use the dissolving tabs on the windscreen wiper water, and, yes it seems works.

I bought a window cleaner wand thing exactly like that one at harbor freight and it works great for cleaning the inside of the front windshield where it slants down up against the dash and so hard to wipe with just a towel.
