He called her Little - She said "Then You wouldn't have Lisa Marie and I wouldn't have My daughters." -- She said they just relived old times --- Then She called him later in the 70's - to tell him about Her Dad passing away he was in Vegas - and He told her Little, Get a Pen and write this down verbatim -- and it was a poem she said it was beautiful and she didn't realize she kept it til she found it many years later -- You know She dated him and was so loved by the Presley's Gladys and her were very close Gladys wanted them to marry -- and She was there When His Mama passed away - To try and console him - She showed up at Graceland and he yelled for her - Little, Come See Mama - She was in her casket -- She said words could not express how torn up He was -- They talked while He was in Germany and wrote love letters.... Agree. Even though Ann-Margret wrote a book, it was about HER story - which of course included being involved with EP along the way. Her book did not have indepth disclosures of very private and confidential conversations or interactions with EP. Anita was his first real long-term relationship, but with Ann it was a more mature and enduring kind of love....they definitely complemented each other well. Unfortunately, EP married the wrong person, and Ann had no choice but to marry someone else, too (though her husband was a great guy so turned out well for her). Lisa-Marie was the result of EP's sham marriage so for that at least, we are grateful.

Yes. They dated for awhile.They remained close I ve read even though they both lead seperate lives. They were both very very popular stars when this musical was performed. Two Superstars in their own right and yes , Ann Margaret was very beautiful and talented.
I was crazy about Ann Margaret back then. She was probably the only female performer who could come close to matching Elvis on screen. Yes they had a very close relationship, which she has always refused to elaborate on, due to her promise, and loyalty to him.
