- Patrick and Vinnie paint a sad picture of one of the formerly greatest states in the nation, as their trip to Los Angeles, California, serves as a reality check on how policies can destroy a city in just a few years.

California is not the problem, vendors are not the problem it's the people who lead California.
Leadership is a reflection of the general public.
The self-appointed politicians are not leaders. The recent KommieFornia Supreme Court decision that voters cannot vote on taxes is prime example of how a one-party system (akin to CCP) works.
Actually it is the a-hole liberal voters that keep voting for the ultra liberal so-called leaders in California , they have a choice.
Arnold?
Hero dad stories are also the problem : )
The homeless should be in a rehab forcefully. Giving them free things only makes it worse.
Facts 💯💯.. the truth is painful to hear but it's still the truth!
I used to love California so much , I can't live there anymore. Paradise lost!
California was always a dump but for some reasons movies manipulated you all into thinking its a great place as is New York.
Some people are gullible , and more people are gullible and cant think for themselves.
What is happening in the US isnt new but things take on a different form . What is happening in California has always happen there from the hippies, to the homeless etc. If you want to find the largest hoods and ghettos, you just have to go to the largest cities in america. Nothing has changed.
PBD is acting like Miami is any different than wherever he went. Miami is a huge dump and fort lauderdale is disgusting, crime ridden, homeless sanctuary but lets not talk about that because that wouldnt fit into the illusion that he is creating.
It’s not that the media is just making you think it is
Just left California After 8 years. Sold our house. Moved to Switzerland. Just got the US citizenship, but I’m from Austria and couldn’t take this anymore.
How cheap is it in Switzerland?
Crazy how America turned itself into a shithole eh?
I lived in Europe for year, my question is of all the places in the U.S why did you choose California. Were you not familiar with the political situation there.
I've been considering traveling to Switzerland, any recommendations.
@@Fallout777 we love the US. If we found a job somewhere else in the US, we would have stayed. California was not chosen, it was were we found jobs in biotech. And CA was much different 8 years ago… Every place in Switzerland is beautiful!
Swiss is 30 times more expensive. Government takes almost 50^% of wages right off the bat. Then you have that 20% VAT tax. Never get to retire with anything unless you are in the 1%. NO thanks.
Hey 81,000,000 people voted for it! They got it!
Trump 2024. MAGA! 🇺🇸
Man, I wish people understood. I live in California and we did not vote for this. California is run by democrats and China. Also, we tried to. Recall both Newsome and a gascone.
And I believe we did They just kept saying oh, we didn't have the The signatures they didn't match b*******
I visited California about 20 years ago, when my brother moved there after he graduated college in the south. It was a beautiful place then, but still a little dirty for my liking. I'm glad that I got to see it back then though, because I wouldn't even consider visiting now. There's no way.
I grew up in northern California and lived there until I was 30… my wife and I decided it was no longer our home we relocated to Tennessee and bought a big home with a huge backyard and never looked back… California is super overrated the governor is a an absolute maniac the politics there are so ass backwards it’s ridiculous and the cost of living is absolutely outrageous and borderline criminal it was time to pack up and go!
Promenade in Santa Monica pre-Covid was awesome. It’s a ghost town now because of the homeless. I’ve gone there 3 times in 3 years and it’s less than 2 miles from where I live. Really sad the destruction.
If "Movie Theaters Are 'Done'" Turn Them Into Music/Comedy Venues.
They aren't done. They're constantly setting ticket sales records. Adam is just a moron. Nothing new there.
I live in California. I figured it out. The main cities are a dump. Venice, Santa Monica, Downtown LA. People usually live 30-60 min from these cities and they dont see the problem. Since they are not affected they dont care and vote democrat. Most people dont drive 30-60 min on their days off so they never see the problem.
How is Orange County or San Diego? Are they better?
@@ceeIoc The entire LEFT coast is a shambles and needs a hard reset starting with NEWSOM OUT!
I found a ridiculously beautiful small city in the East Coast to live and it is indeed a jewel, born and raised in San Fran my whole life and this is the first time I've ever fell in love with a city... It is a very conservative county and I'm probably the only liberal here but the fact that little kids ride their bikes until dark, little old ladies stopping by with their welcome wagons full of wine, it the fact that i feel as though i stepped back in time to the 1950s... Everything is quaint and lovely. Even the church has a bell that tolls by the hour.
If you find a decent community, hide it away and don't let anyone know! 😂
What’s the city? Lol i doubt people would love in vast droves if you say so in a random UA-cam comment. I am looking for one right now so please do tell me.
Just don’t vote in your new town
You're basically admitting that you would rather live among conservatives in a conservative community, so may I ask why you are a liberal? I'm not trying to start anything. I'm genuinely curious.
Ok, you left misery behind. Now you live in paradise. Which CA, ues to be. What you gonna do now! Try to turn where you live now into into a libtard 💩-hole. Or help to keep where you love to live now, strong and what America is. I'm from northern New England. The one state that loves the 2nd Amendment and will die for freedom. I will stick up for you to vote anyway you want. And still be your best neighbor on your street. Even if we disagree. Liberals vote for there adult self's in instead of the future of their children. Yeah, most libs don't have kids or believe in children. But you do. Smarten up, you may not see it because where you lived in the past. I have been around the block thousands of times in my long life. And the way the world is going the fan is on high and the 💩is hot. The amount of suffering our children are going to endure is going to be horrible. My fath and Resolve has kept me strong and grounded. My two kids have a strong foundation I built for them growing up. A army sargent and nursing college. Yeah, we don't agree some, but we talk and give and take. Because we live by five words: Faith, Family, Truth Justice, and the American Way. I wish you and your family the best and good health. Be smart man, be smart.
@@Mr_Don1 I'll give you an example; recently our public library displayed trans books for Pride month...immediately the conservative parents paraded outside and the library was forced to take it down, then a few weeks later the library had to apologize to the neighborhood. I dont like that; i also dont like that we stopped the construction of various projects because it might "invite the undesirables" into the city.
Also, because the city is conservative it is also extremely tight knit...everyone knows everyone, like i removed my california license plate because people dont like transplants. Just little things like that, i know that the culture here is just different but the pros (zero crime, clean streets, gorgeous homes, people with manners, little churches....etc) outweigh the cons.
“You will own nothing and be happy” “Build back better” where do you think the hell those came from Right out of the WEF and what they want. A class of elites and a few people serving them. That’s what this is all about.
"And if you think future looks bleak get yourself the future looks bleak hat and tshirt"
The same happened to me three weeks ago. It is so sad.
Kensington in Philly is officially worse than LA skidrow.. actual zombies for blocks, and they are openly proud to call it zombie row now (no joke)
Yeah. But they don’t take into account the majority of California looks like L.A.
It's shocking that Philly is in the same state as I live in, I live in the most beautiful city Ive ever seen (born and raised in sf). My county is conservative but it's like stepping back in time to the 1950s...I absolutely love living here. I'm also the only Democrat so it makes me feel special 😂. I hope it doesn't expand too quick, the more people that come here the worst it will be
Facts.... Most people who see it can't believe it's America..... gets worse by the decade.... It's always been there but nothin like this.
I disagree, Kensington is tiny, if you compare it to DT LA and skid row.. LA skid row if you go deep into the barrels it's actually more dangerous. I've been to both, La just has so many more homeless people and out of their mind crazy people. Just by the sheer numbers, LA is WAY worse.
@@djramirez8635 one is a neighborhood in a City of 2ish million. The other is LA. You're definitely gonna see it more out there cuz there's so many more people. Friends from LA tell me Kenzo seems worse cuz it's the whole neighborhood not a few designated blocks. Either way, appreciate your incite
We need the men of California to start stepping up and taking the state back. Grass roots level, local politics, everything.
Bring Drive-Ins back.
God will prevail and rid this world of evil soon 🙏🏻
Wow when I lived in LA 14 years ago I would always go to the Promenade. Oof..can't imagine how it now.
Are you going to put that on a T-Shirt. Lol
I love movie theaters. It’s an escape. I work 60 hours a week from my home office. I love getting out at night or a Sunday and escaping to the movie after the gym.
Completely agree. These morons like Adam that think movie theaters are in trouble don't follow them closely at all. They're constantly setting ticket sales records lately.
Moved to phoenix in 2022 id rather put up with this heat than be in that dystopian
It’s just fucked we had to flee our homes
5:55 Even the kids are noticing how intrusive the pride shit is….
Good for that guy to sit there and watch you guys in conversation. Gets to listen for free.
I live in Yuma Arizona and honestly, we should have consecutively built a wall between California and Arizona as well as US and Mexico!
My youngest son lives in Long Beach California and refuse to go visit.
I will not step one foot in that state!
You gave up your Fendi wallet? The sacrifices some people make. Extraordinary.
Im from Cali And will be voting For Trump Again!!! And im not Vaccinated 🇺🇸
I am a California resident who has lived here for 30 years and I am disgusted with what the state has become. Most of those years I spent in Orange County and thank God it's still mostly sane so I can tolerate it. My boss, however, who works remotely out of Northern California was telling us in a meeting last time how proud she is about getting her teenage sons in touch with the LGBTQ community and just hearing her talk made me disgusted. It's parents like her who are the problem with this once great state and unfortunately I do not ever see it changing. It's these delusional extreme leftists who are running this once great state. If it infects the OC like it has majority of this state I may have no choice than to say adios.
they are erasing comments about cali crime?! .. unreal ai blocks on real experiences.. wow
It's been like this for a long time but nobody notices until it happens to them
Yesterday I commented on like a 10 year old comment that asked "why would any city ever get to a point where they would eliminate their police budget?" I merely tried posting a brief history lesson about an event in May 2020 that caused people to destroy cities while demanding we legalize crime. Took many tries to get it to stay up. I have doubts about this comment.

Props to pbd, Tom, and vinnie for not being afraid to go out in public
Gelato Store Debate
San Francisco used to be my favorite city. I would be afraid to go there even on a connecting flight
The only way you fall asleep in a movie is if you hammered bro. Vinnie knew. :22. It’s all good 🤙🏼
I watched IT 2 at studio grill and I was like wtf goin on 😂 Didn’t blame the seat tho.
My opinion of the future of movie theaters is to bring old movies back. I saw "Alien" in the theater for the first time ealier this year. Mind Blown!
I lived in L.A. to start school through ... 4th grade? Late 60s. All technicolor wonderful memories for most part. Never a problem. My brothers and I would ride our bikes to Knott's Berry Farm or even Seal Beach. Ride bikes on the new empty, yet to be open freeways. All of it from Hollywood to the mountains to the Mojave to the missions. I thought Elvis beach movies were real life. Sad.
The only way you fall asleep in a movie is if you hammered bro. Vinnie knew. :22. It’s all good 🤙🏼
I watched IT 2 at studio grill and drank a picture of beer , fell asleep for like 30 minutes. Woke up and I was like wtf goin on 😂 Didn’t blame the seat tho.
sounds frightening more than ever now last time I was in LA was 1995 ,was and eye opener back then
Typical pbd being a hero
I am heart broken to hear that 3rd St. Promenade has become a piss hole full of foul stink and bums. LA is not the LA I remember living in back in 2001.
Is the wallet Italian leather?? Seriously I’m thinking of getting one.
“Me and Pat kick….” 😬 Pat and I kick …. 😁
That is because you guys inexplicably chose to visit L.A. I’m not sure why people think Los Angeles is the premiere location in CA… 🤔
As someone that lives in the San Gabriel Valley, I agree 100%. So much better areas to visit in CA. “L.A.” has always sucked and been dirty.
In Hong Kong, people would not only answer phones in the theater, they would MAKE calls! As a kid in the 80s, idiots were shooting at the screens! Always gonna be a-holes in cities.
It just highlights the incomptence of politicians on all levels that a state as rich in resources like California could be faced with such a downfall. That should be a place people from all around the world could aspire to live, not flee from.
Where do we go? How do you leave California? Is it easy to adjust to weather , location, culture , etc?? Specially if you’re still young and with teens
As a tourist from Ireland LA is great. I love hiking in the hillls, eating in Thai town, swimming in Santa Monica and hanging out at the Grove... However nearly every bus has a homeless person or people some of them are really out of it. I still love a month long holiday there but it would be a weird place to raise kids.
I live in Florida. Florida sees none of this some how.
Democrats are kept in check.
Eh, not totally true. There's lots of rough spots in: Orlando, Tampa and Miami and some of the poorer rural areas but there's kind of a general understanding by the people and government that a lot of people come through the state, that Capitalism comes at a cost and that sometimes things and people fall through the cracks. Cali feels/seems like an INTENTIONAL COLLAPSE of middle class society by the Elites.
Keeping voting Blue
DONT GO TO THE MOVIE THEATER ON PROMENADE IN SANTA MONICA, thats it
PBD is the GOAT 🐐
Why would you pay money to watch anything DJ Khaled is in?
I live in Los Angeles. This is the sad reality of parts of LA. Not all of LA obviously. it's still stunning and fantastic weather etc. lots of post areas that doesnt have these issues of course. But downtown LA and hollywood area is not good.
I have a wallet, gum case and free
WTF is Adam smoking? lol. You guys are talking about the current state of Los Angeles and a homeless guy, and this guy starts going off on a tangent about AMC stock. By the way, AMC and the movie "In and Out" just set a record for ticket sales.
And many movies like Barbie and Oppenheimer also did, recently. I love the movies and still go a lot. Tons of people do and they always will. It's entertainment and a night out. And for anyone that follows that stock closely, or any movie theater stock, it's the easiest recovery play on the stock market.
Movie theaters got hit hard during covid and now they're recovering well. AMC in particular is just constantly manipulated and shorted down by evil hedgefunds that got caught with their pants down because they thought it was gonna go bankrupt and there's no chance of that now.
That stock is gonna go parabolically high by the end of the year.
Come on u guys are the future looks bright guys, don’t put us all in despair. LA and SF are failing but CA is much larger. I relocated to Riverside county with is growing tremendously and not so lib. Peace fellas the future is bright s/o to fathers
Its a good movie
That's how they do in L.A. They are looking for trouble all the time trying to get something going this happens all the time. I thought it was just me.
California is beyond gone.
If my whole family wasn't here I would have already left california
The fact that PBD regularly finds time to take his sons to the movies tells me all i need to know about him as a man
Adam talk too much without saying anytihng
Demons make that noise
Santa Monica is still somewhat of a nice city, try going to Oakland. It looks like 1981's Escape from New York.
Bad boys was fucking great if you actually paid attention
A cesspool. So sad. It use to be so fun. California use to be breathtaking. No more.
So these people are saying that California is dying because some people there are anti-genocide. Is that what they were saying without actually saying it?
Everyone Wants Your Wallet.
I love seeing how disappointed you guys are.
you thought the movies about zombies and world wide apocalypse was just a coincidence?
That’s why I left the state. Thanks gruesome
So sorry it’s SWF
At this point im just saving my money and getting the fuck out
im a proud one upper jklol
CA great place to visit, horrible place to live now
i saw the signs of the present 10 years ago, but was lazy & didnt leave until last year. I thought i could still "make it" in CA, but i was wrong. Simplify your life, dont follow most social trends, save mulah, find family in a different states, then leave, thank me later
I work in Santa Monica and head to 3rd Street every once in awhile for a movie and a homeless guy literally pissed near the door of the amc. It's gotten worse since COVID. I like on koreatown and my neighbor has turned into a ghetto. Graffiti everywhere, seems like everyone is on meth, homeless shit on the sidewalks and illigal immigrants have all moved in to my neighborhood. They don't clean up after their dogs and don't train them so they bark constantly and broken Modelo bottles everywhere.
The wealth gap is too big in California. It's either you make $20 an hour or you make 200$k a year. Everyone you meet is either seriously stressed out or too dumb to realize that they're in the top 10% in the country (When it comes to wages). You shouldn't need a 100k$ + a year job to afford a regular home in California (thats at minimum 500$k +) when homes in other states cost a third of that. Now, the problem you have now is that everyone from coastal states that earn way more than the average american income flock in droves to sweep up the cheap housing as rentals. Thus the housing crisis and this contributing to other crisis in the country. 🤷🏻♂️
I met an Indian guy working in Silicon Valley. He owns 8 motels in the Midwest. You can buy US citizenship if u open a business and I think what they do is buy and sell these as part of that. Also such businesses get a certain amt of yrs tax break.
@@fazole Work visas and the dreamer process are also being used as gray zones when it comes to this type of stuff
