This is the video I've been looking for! I have these chairs, I want my wood to be black do you know how to do that or can you post something to me to teach me how please
Great video! I wish you would answer questions. I was giving up on a chair I want to paint following the directions from the FM page in which they recommend to water down the paint. This did not go well... there is no good coverage if you use water. May try this method. If anyone tried please comment below? THANK YOU!
Great job! I instantly thought of using it on a couch my hubby wants to throw away ... but I don't! This will be a great way to get the color I want on a piece of furniture that already fits its' space ... it just needs to be freshened up! How exciting! In this video, you mention a "wax". You didn't use it on the chair. Can you explain the type of wax you were talking about? Please? And when and why it's used. Thanks bunches! ❣
I am worried about anything from that chair coming off on clothing. I sat on my white couch with blue jeans and left blue on my couch. And I did not dye or color either one.
Good Morning! Can you tell me where to purchase all the products you used to make these great looking chairs? I am trying to take on painting 2 desk chairs. Thank you.
Hi Marilyn. Here is a link where you can find all the retailers. Several of them offer shipping as well. Happy painting! fusionmineralpaint.com/where-to-buy/
Hi Anne. Is it a fabric with a dragon print? If so, it would work you just need to do enough coats to cover the colours that are in the fabric. Be sure to sand in between coats. I also find that a smooth fabric (one with very little texture) works best.
I can't see why not... probably better than the chair in fact..I'd do it for sure because if it's an acrylic base it'll never ever come off no matter how many times that umbrella gets rained on ..lol I know , I'm an landscape artist, using acrylics..don't ever get that paint ON YOUR CLOTHING ...AT ALL ..NEVER EVER GOING to get it out no matter how much u wash it ..
Holly Akins adding a little water to the paint does help it soak into the fabric. So it ends up feeling more like fabric. It’s good to sand between dry coats of paint.
We can process an order over the phone. We will be receiving another order next week as we’re low or sold out of several colours. Please give us a call at 519-740-6398
Well...I would like to see more comments from people who did have success using this paint for an upholstered chair. I followed the directions from the FM page and it is not going well, little coverage if you dilute with water. I’m afraid that if I use only paint then it will become too hard. Would like feedback from others on the method shown in this video. THANKS
Love this video. Love your honesty about not being sure if it would turn out. Thanks!
oh ..that beautiful minty colour!
Wow! This is amazing
Great video! Gonna try this today with a similar chair and same colour combo thank you!
Thank you. Let me know how it turns out. :)
This turned out beautiful, sooo happy I found this video getting ready to paint an old chair 🤗
Have fun Gina. I was impressed with how easy it was and how great it turned out.
really looks nices

Where can we buy that paint??

This company needs to make more colors! I'd love to paint my bedroom chair a lime green but can't seem to find the color in fabric paint.
How does that compare to using DIY or chalk paint?
do it without the shall... you are beautiful. the shall ages and you are NOT old!! thank you for sharing!
I didn’t hear her say shall but if she did it has more to say about where she is from and who influenced her than it does her age.

Would love to know how the chair looks 2 years later.
It looks exactly the same. I wish I could post a photo.....perhaps I'll do a followup video.
I wonder if the fabric medium would be the same as fabric softener which I have seen being used.
I think it might be similar. In recent projects I don’t add anything to the paint....besides water.

What is the make of your brush? Thanks for the video.
The first brush I used is called a Staalmeester Brush. They are great!

Would this work on a dragon type fabric?

How do you think this would work on sunbrella ?

I noticed in a lot of the videos I watch about painting fabric water is sprayed on the fabric first. What was your reason for not doing that?
Hi Holly. I just didn't think it was necessary.
Water helps it to soak into the fabric. It acts like a dye.
Holly Akins adding a little water to the paint does help it soak into the fabric. So it ends up feeling more like fabric. It’s good to sand between dry coats of paint.
@@mermaiddiyartist8119 I tried to water down the paint and the coverage isn’t good...not sure what to do
Do you think this would work with a microfiber couch?
It’s been done successfully but I haven’t tried it personally.
I have a chair with removable covers. Does this mean I can't wash it?
You can wash them. I would perhaps try it on a gentle cycle and hang to dry but the paint wont come off.
Would this paint work on a thick upholstered chair with raised patterns ??
Yes. It will. You can also just water down the paint instead of adding the fabric additive she used.
@@cherylperrotta3219 watering down the paint didn’t work for me, poor coverage
@@attop21 I've never had that problem. I'm sorry it didn't work for you.
Can you post an updated video?
Would you like to see how the chair is holding up?
@@NextTimeAround Yes
@@NextTimeAround Also, how much do you use it? The chairs I want to do will be used daily
Did you end up waxing the finished fabric or not? I am interested to know. Thanks
Vicky Etchells: Hi Vicky. I did not end up waxing it as it looked and felt great without it. It’s holding up great too.
@@NextTimeAround can you tell me how you'd have gone about waxing it?

is there an email address for the shop so I can order the paint?
or website
Hi Cynthia. Our email address is info@nexttimearound.ca Where are you from? I can see who the closest retailer to you is.
Can we order off your site ? The closest retailer to me is around 2 hours away :(

I really doubt this whole thing. Paint is intended for hard surfaces that have been primed. This paint will NOT last too long.
Its horrible paint, looks good but fabric become very hard. Please don't use it.
Sorry you didn't find success. I'm not sure why it didn't work well for you. What type of fabric were you painting?
@@NextTimeAround He's probably never even used it before and has no clue.
show your chair or the piece of furniture you painted, maybe you did not follow the instructions and used lots of lots of paint at the beginning
